stilgar clicks the heels of his Boots of Speed together and in a fantastic display of acrobatics the rogue sprints up the stairs, through the room, and off the balcony driving his booming blade deep into the beast!
Darrimus once again pricks his forearm bringing a drop of blood as he casts Bane on the beast.
It must make a Charisma Save of 12.
Up to three creatures of your choice that you can see within range must make Charisma saving throws. Whenever a target that fails this saving throw makes an attack roll or a saving throw before the spell ends, the target must roll a d4 and subtract the number rolled from the attack roll or saving throw.
The creature is unable to resist and is affected by Darrimus's bane spell.
With a great display of athletics, Stilgar runs and jumps for the attack, he is able to reach the beast but his attack just barely fails to pierce his natural hide. Stilgar falls to the ground, but lands correctly and does not take fall damage.
Ash conjures another fire bolt and strikes the beast for 26 damage.
Laurentia swings her whip at the creature, but it dodges.
"Ugh, shame it got away, I really would like to give it some more payback. I haven't felt this bad since that run in with the poison drake in the caverns of Alabander, Ash come here my boy." Laurentia will expend the charge of lesser restoration in her ring to see if she can cure Ash. She looks at Fireside. "Your horse has seen better days, how is everyone else feeling?"
Stilgar looks around the house one more time, passing a set of stairs on the right side of the room that lead to the upper floor. There is also a closed door on the back side of the stairs. He realized that nobody ever opened the closed door on the back of the stairs! How silly of him.
The rest of the group rests while Stilgar opens the door revealing a dark descent on old wooden stairs. About 8 feet down appear to be a dirt floor, but the darkness inhibits his ability to see much else.

Stilgar sneaks down the stairs as stealthy as possible with a giant ball of light illuminating him. He comes into a room of equal proportions to the floor above. Lining the walls are miscellaneous shelves holding old forgotten jars. While some jars seem to hold normal food there are others that contain random animal parts pickled and partial decayed. Surely someone was quite worried to save the feet of an alligator, and Stilgar is pretty sure one of them contained a rat, fur and eyes still intact. In the corner of the room farthest from the stairs, he also finds an old well. Approaching the well, Stilgar hears a faint whistling sound louder, than a bit fainter.
Cha Save 4
The creature is hit for 11 damage and is able to reduces Laurentia's health by 15. It then flies 30 feet into the air.
Darrimus and Stilgar are now up. Ash and Laurentia can post their next turns too.

The creature realizes that this battle is not in its favor and attempts a full blown retreat, flying up in the air and into the fog.
Combat is now over.
Darrimus pats Fireside with approval on the side before dismounting.
"Well... It seems the Demon wants us dead. The road for us will be dangerous. I hate that we didn't get a full rest in." says Darrimus.
Darrimus looks to the others.
"Everyone whole? We handled that fairly quickly." says Darrimus.

Darrimus nods in agreement.
”Fireside has indeed... I’ll send him home for a bit.”
Darrimus pats Fireside on the head.
”Well fought. Go home for now. I will call again when I can and you are healed.”
Fireside kneels down and slowly fades away like burnt embers into the Sky.
"I'm not sure if I can go on immediately after that encounter. I still feel as if something is missing from me. May we rest for a short while?"
Stilgar scratches his chin.
”Weve obviously disturbed some dark and menacing pressence within the house. Im sure there is more to this spooky place...”
stilgar heads back inside in search of secret passages and obscured pathways.

“rest up if you need, but ive just noticed this door...”
stilgar uses his mage hand to open the door and heads inside
" I'll certainly take you up on that offer." Laurentia gasps as she collapses into a pile in the front room next to the door.
