Ash attempts to dodge the lightning bolts, triggering a memory from the academy: On a clear, sunny morning, Ash was on his daily commute. Just a minute's walk from the campus, dark clouds suddenly formed and rain began to pour heavily. Ash was instantly drenched as he prepared to run towards the school. He was stopped by a voice behind him. "Hey!" It was Ulala. "Did you forget your umbrella?" she asked, positioning the one in her hands above his head.
...
Ash's illusions ripples violently through the storm, continuing to shift around him.
Ash still takes damage while he makes his way out of the area. (6)
"Remember your training..." he mutters, firing more magic missiles at the ancient druid.
Water drips from Ash's robe, but begins to evaporate as it hits the ground. Heat starts to surround Ash as he prepare a firebolt to hurl at Laurentia. "The end is near...for one of us!" he shouts.

As Laurentia fails once again to block or dodge the incoming fireball, it strikes her in the gut. "Ash, I have spent many decades on this plane, but you are making these moments in particular very tiring."
She calls out her last healing word.

Ash flips once more to avoid the lightning crash beside him, but then notices as his illusions shatter around him. Electricity crackles through his body as he realizes he no longer has the stamina to weather the storm. "That's an A+ in avoidance, Ash!" a voice from the past echoes in his ear.
Ash falls to his knees and looks up at the rain pouring down upon him, before collapsing into the puddle created by the ancient one.
Laurentia breathes deeply and lets out a long breath. " Has been so long since I experienced such a battle." She silences the storm and slowly makes her way over to where Ash rests in the water. " You have quite a spirit young man, and you surely gave this old bag a day to remember." She kneels down and brushes back his hair before picking him up in an embrace. "But I think you still have much more important things to do in the time you have been given here." She moves him over her shoulder and carries him back to join Darrimus and Stilgar where they are waiting, watching.
She sets Ash down as lightly as she can next to Darrimus. " I'm afraid I'll need your help this time youngin. Our young firebrand has left me well spent. I'm afraid I haven't much left to do anything for either of us." As she finishes setting Ash down she slowly sits back into the grass herself. " I'm glad we had our fun now. I'm not sure we will get many more chances for a while. Once you all feel better, I will tell you all of the flame Olana has bestowed upon me."
Laurentia later explains how she can only cast the spell once before resting for long periods and it is extremely exhausting to do so. Bestowing a level of exhaustion upon her. It takes an entire round of uninterrupted action with no other movement or other actions to cast. It gives no saves for partial damage.
The group follows the road and comes to a small camp. From a distance, they can see a few smaller tents and one large tent towards the center. Once they get about 50 yards from the camp, a group of three men bearing shields comes out to greet them. The one in the center, holds out his hand and says "Halt. What business do you have here approaching this camp?"
without drawing attention to himself, stilgar twirls his finger and snaps creating an embarrassing sound coming from the guards backside as he approaches the group.
Stilgar does his best to make a convincing sound traditionally found coming from the rears of humans but instead makes a sounds akin to the noise of a trumpet. The guard on the right jumps in air yelling "Trumpet frogs! Everyone prepare yourselves." The the guards hold up their shields, back into a tight formation and stare awkwardly into the surrounding woods. A few moments go by and the guard on left makes a sniffle sound and say "My word Trimmel, no more beef and onion brussels for you tonight. That is horrendous."
The silence is broken by Laurentia and the guard in the center says "Ah you are the group we have been waiting on. Melcher is in the large tent with the leaders of the other two groups. Right this way, but keep and eye out for trumpet frogs..."
"We have had great success in acquiring tactics to take down this Demon. We just need to get close enough to eradicate him from this plane. Any news from Odaigo?"
The guard replies to Laurentia "We are from Razalo to the west of here. Odaigo and Melcher helped defend our town years ago from an orc raiders and we owe them a debt of service. A few of us joined what was left from the citizens fleeing Odaigo in order to help take it back." He then turns to Darrimus and says "Yes. We have heard somethings but it is best if you hear it at the briefing from Melcher. Right this way."

Darrimus uses lay on hands and heals Ash for 15 HP and Laurentia for 10 HP.
Darrimus sits astounded.
"That is quite the skill you have. It's time to press the attack. Odaigo awaits. Let us return to Melcher and see if there is any news from the city."
Darrimus leads to group to Melcher.
The group follows the road and comes to a small camp. From a distance, they can see a few smaller tents and one large tent towards the center. stilgar raises an eyebrow in shocked disbelief.

Ash notices Stilgar's finger movement from the corner of his eye, just before an awkward sound echoes through the air.
Ash then makes a subtle gesture with his hands, resulting in an odor resembling one having "passed gas" coming from the direction of the guards.
Ash covers his nose with his robe.

" Always best to keep an eye out. Speaking of which, I don't believe we have met. Where do you lads hail from?"
Darrimus steps forward to Melcher and salutes.
"We have had great success in acquiring tactics to take down this Demon. We just need to get close enough to eradicate him from this plane. Any news from Odaigo?"
