Piccolo and Nappa both seem extremely surprised by this though they just stare silently. Goku looks closely and says in wonder, "Wow! How did you do that? I don't think I've ever seen anyone do something like that." Though Nolla isn't by any means the strongest person they've faced, it is clear that they aren't familiar with any magic users of her power.

"He will not think us a threat. We must use that to our advantage. We will face his army first, unless we interest him enough. Or insult him enough."

Bulma says, "Well... I guess that could work. Vegeta says the ruins we are heading to have ancient technology. Maybe if we can figure out how that works, we might be able to use it."

"It is just something I have always been able to do, like breathing."  Nolla says with a shrug.

Goku asks, "What else can you do with these powers? Can you show them to me sometime?"

"Well, I can do a few things..." Nolla says with a nod.  "make illusions, conjure a hand that can open or grab things..."

She casts message 'Speak so only you can hear it...'

"I can also protect myself with a magical field (Mage armor,) make myself, or someone else, move faster (haste,) and much more.  I can definitely show you some of it sometime if you wish."

"This sounds really useful. I would like that."

"Any advantage we can grab, we should use. And we should think of more than way to attack. Or even spreading out the attack. It might come down to be lucky versus being powerful."

Vegeta says, "We will get stronger. Saiyans get stronger the more they fight. We will be able to take on Frieza. Especially if we attack him while he's already busy with his brother."

Nolla would show them whatever spells she can, starting with cantrips, then moving up to bigger ones.

So Nolla shows everyone her magical powers, wowing everyone.

Dakon spends time discussing battle plans and learning ship piloting from Bulma and Vegeta.

Shepherd and Saike Demon spend time talking about the vastness of space and also listening to music.

Dew days later, the ship is sailing on when it shakes violently and alarms go off. Bulma's voice rings through the ship speakers. She says in a panic, "Um We are under attack!"

Dakon rushes to where Bulma is, his arms out to brace himself as he goes. He looks at a screen, to see if he can tell if it's one of Frieza's ships.

DM: Dakon needs to be leveled up to level 6

Dakon rushes forward as another hit rocks the ship. He enters the captains room to see Bulma trying her best to dodge the enemy attacks. The ship was not built for space battles. The attack ship is visible on the screens. Good news is that it isn't one of Frieza's ships. It bears pirate markings. The fact that you are being attacked by space pirates indicates that you have traveled far enough away from Earth. You might expect a few planets that have achieved space travel in this section; perhaps two or three planets that trade between themselves.

The pirate ship seems to be maintaining a close distance. Most of the attacks from their cannons have been grazing shots and aimed at the ship's thrusters. It looks like they are trying to board you. The fact that they are trying to stop you from moving before boarding indicates that the enemy ship lacks teleportation capabilities.

"How can we help?" Nolla asks as she reaches the others. She is back in her leather pants and silk blouse.

Everyone is gathered at the captain's room. Bulma is still trying to avoid hits from the enemy ship. Vegeta says, "Bah! If they want to board us, I say we let them! They stand no chance against us in a close quarter battle." Piccolo suggest, "If we don't have weapons to fight them with, we can attack them with our Ki attacks directly if this ship has space suits (which it does)" Kami suggest, "Is there anyway to contact them? If so we can negotiate and end this peacefully."

"This ship has no weapons to shoot back with?"  Nolla asks with a frown as she glances around.  "Nothing I can do is going to affect this as long as they are shooting at us from long range like this.  we either have to let them board us, or we have to take the fight to them."

Piccolo says, "Alright, I'm listening. How do you plan to take the fight to them?"

"No clue." Nolla says with a sigh.  "I've never been in space before, remember."

"What are the chances that they can't tell how many of us there are on board? If we let them board, but most of us hide, then either take them one by one or just overtake them all at once."

Gundar suggest, "I highly doubt they would know just how many of us there are. We can try that." Vegeta dismisses the suggestion though, "Bah! Where's your Saiyan pride? Ganging up on them or picking them off one by one... That's the coward's tactic! We wait for them to board and then engage them in a full frontal brawl."
