Meanwhile, in the Westwoods...

"He must be back!" Amnarel growls, his eyes gleaming. "The blights are motivated again.  They never went away, but they spent the last few years just shambling around being minor nuisances. Now, the last few months, they are organized again, and working in groups.  They have a leader, again.  Some fool has brought back Galliloth, and I shall have the pleasure of undoing their work!"

"I'm sure you will." Raven says, leading her father out of the cell.  "Let's get out of here and we can see about finding your sword."

"We should be careful," Mindartis says. "Last portal we stepped through was one way only.

You help Sir Amnarel to his feet and up the stairs, and along the corridor. By the time you get to the big entrance hall, you hear voices and approaching footsteps.

"Hide!" hissed Elwin quickly, not sure himself how well they'd be able to accomplish such in the sparse interior of the hall. Still, it seemed better to try...

Back in the cell Del adds Be well, Sir Amnarel to Raven's hand-laying Healing Word for 8 hit points

Raven and Del melt into the shadows as the footsteps approach.  Quentin, Elwin and Lintelér manage to conceal themselves behind pillars along the side of the room.

The stirred-up dust of the floor makes its presence known, though, as Mindartis desperately struggles to stifle a sneezing attack.

Three green-skinned hags enter the hall. One has a large, enameled greatsword strapped to her back.

"Did you hear that, Sister?" one asks. "Do you think that's one of the six the blights told us about, or some other mouse has wandered into this place?"

"Does it matter?" the third chortles, closing the big arched exit door. "This will be the first fun we've had on this entire stupid assignment.  Much more fun than just the paladin would have been."

"Sisters! Sisters!" screeches the third with excitement. "I've found them!  The Arch Witch's Boots are that way!" She points...right toward Raven's hiding place.

The other two look at her in disbelief, and then cast spells....and shout together, "She's right!" They move eagerly across the floor toward you.

"You may as well come out, little mouse," one snickers.  "It's time to meet the cats..."

Mindartis shakes his head, "Not on my watch," Mindartis says, stepping away from his makeshift (and failed) hiding spot and drawing his own sword.

The hags cackle. "Isn't that cute, it wants to play," says one. "Give us the boots, little bag of elf bones, and we may kill you and the others quickly and mercifully....relatively speaking."

In the distance down the hall, you can hear leaves shuffling as vine blights try to catch up with their leaders.

((Luckily for you they are very slow, or the hags might have been warned in time to lock you into the dungeon downstairs.))

Mindartis tilts his head to the side like he's considering it for a moment before responding, "No... I don't think I will. You folk give the rest of us Fey a bad name."

(Everyone roll for initiative. Oh, and Raven, I should have said your sword of warning is freaking out. XD )

((assuming we are first)) Del bows Viia casting Spike Growth centered behind the hags so that the 20 foot radius blocks or includes the blights, includes the furthest hags at least, hopefully the front one as well but only just so, so that R and M can reach her to attack. It is difficult terrain, and all take 2d4 piercing for every 5 feet of travel. It is a DC 16 WIS save to notice the spikes before they enter or move
