"I'll be watching the gnomes and pixies tonight," Mindartis says, eyeing the cover over the eyeball. "We have the dungeon yes? We can store all this stuff and bring it to him tomorrow."
Mindartis is still detecting magic: he see a white glow around the covered jar, and the usual flickery conjuration magic glow around the hoop. Nothing else in the room seems magical. (Unless Raven shows him the swag, in which case, the cloak shows an aura of abjuration, and the rings show transmutation and evocation.)

"Someone's watching us from the jar," Mindartis confirms. "And the hoop is ready to be used. Nothing else here is special." If shown the items by Raven, he tells them what he can see. "Guess we're spending the night here then huh? Are our horses going to be okay?"
"Probably, yes" Del agrees "we should be strategic about what we show. I hope our Brothers did something when they picked up their horses. It's odd, three chairs and rooms up here, one bed but two packs below. Some kind of hierarchy between our late gnoll Lord opponents? A third person of the hags' tier? Let's check the three rooms. "
When others are ready, Del looks through the three rooms in turn, right to left

There is not much of interest in the rooms. Each has a makeshift bed, like the gnoll beds downstairs, but two of them have straw mattresses, and coverlets knitted form the same sort of wool you found in the knitting basket. There are a few trinkets and personal items that you would rather not touch...they do not look very clean. The third room has a bd frame and mattress, but nothing else...except for a scattering of torn paper. It looks as someone ripped something up small and tossed the pieces into the fireplace carelessly...and no fire has been lit here since.

Del will try to jigsaw the paper together, but I am guessing this was Auntie Knickerbritches' crib. With that, probably time to think about resting. M in particular has had a rough day. With only 3 of us, it'll take a little longer to get enough sleep to count as a long rest while still maintaining a watch (3 3hr shifts makes 9, getting 6 in the rack each, of course M spending his time meditating on the meaning of stars and whatever elfyboots do). All ok with a R-D-M watch rotation?
I think we should wait to check out this hoop until we are all together. Del says about the new loot Lord Mindartis, I believe you still have the other? And I am unsure about the eyejar. Could we gain an advantage having it, or would it give the viewer too much power? Imaging if they could teleport to its location and surprised us from inside the dungeon? Or am I being paranoid? Leave it here, give it to Tagrec, chuck it through the hoop?
Del will spend some time grooming his new pets and get some sleep once all are ready
((some kind of check for the torn papers? Investigation?9 ))
((whichever, no game effect. we are not pressed for time and Del would tend to give M extra rest since he's taken like a hundred plus damage today. I naturally think a lot about watches and fairness due to past job - see profile pic. Sleep is important to the submariner's life. And coffee))

Raven would agree to the watch schedule. During her watch she would try to identify the rings, if we are using the short-rest identification rules from the DMG.
Del attempts to piece together the paper, but without good lighting, a decent flat surface, and some kind of magic or glue, all you can make out is that it seems like a map of some sort. The hyenas keep snuffling at it, and blowing the shreds around with their breath. You night want to try again under better conditions.
Anyone who passes an Arcana check of DC12 can attempt to identify one of the magic items during their short rest.
Are you sleeping inside the house, or in the square, or back by the roots?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The kids are sleeping in the square, correct? I think we should be where they are for watchfulness and stuff. Del will be by the hyenas, who stay chained - 'pack leader' or no, no reason to tempt an obligate carnivore around sleeping gnome-shaped snacks.
Del will try identifying the cloak Arcana13 and give an inspiration die to anyone making their check (add a d8)
Also nighttime routine: generate the usual 30 Goodberries for tomorrow, play a bit of crwth and spritewhistle, pray to Her Mysteriousness. Not doing and sending tonight, just in case he needs the spellpower in the night

The cured creatures are resting out in the square. Once you leave the hag house, you see them napping in the dirt, on rocks, or wherever they happened to decide to lie down. It looks like between the pixies and the druids, they are all now freed from the spell and sleeping, exhausted from weeks or possibly months of almost constant labor. Back toward the roots, you can hear the muted chanting of the druids reciting the restoration ritual.
Which item are you trying to identify? The cloak, the transmutation ring, or the evocation ring?
