Mindartis chuckles, "My sister's favorite song changes with the season, and the day. She's constantly moving forward, she called me crazy for choosing the summer and staying with it." He browses the stall, looking for interesting small objects that look like they could fit in a pocket when purchased. "As for honor and wild freedom, the Feywilds are constantly changing. Those of us that live there must change with them. We respect that change, and it gives us a sense of freedom. So long as you avoid the Archfey Courts," he laughs out loud.

Before getting on the plane looking a little disengaged for a bit, Del meets up with the other <party name to be decided later> and practices his new Spritewhistle, slipping it in and out of his sleeve and playing a bit of Summer. He will follow along and help or take whatever actions make sense for the next few hours. We should spend the day getting information and setting the details of operation candytrap. If anyone can think of how to get up to the pixie / sprite level I am guessing they could have some information. And the street kids pointed out where a half-orc named Groff was last seen, that or maybe what Huark can tell us about where Cup liked to hide - we can set up there. But, open to whatever you say

((Nope, not really--no stairs or aids. Habitation above a certain level is not permitted.  The canopy is sort of a 'pixie preserve,' for small flying fey creatures, and while the pixies probably wouldn't care if you went up there, it is possible some of the sprites might view you as trespassers. Of course, if you want to try tree-climbing or arrange to fly up, it is always a possibility.))

“Give me enough time to summon my familiar and I can send them up there to look around.” Quentin offers before adding, “I haven’t figured out free flight quite yet but once we reach the highest point I’m sure I could levitate myself the rest of the way up.” 

"I can try to get up there and talk to them," Mindartis offers. "They might trust other Fey over you folk... no offense."

Del shakes his head like his ears just popped, caught up on all the time he was spaced out. "Familiar plus a flying feylord, that should entertain the wee ones"

"No reason to bother with that, I can climb up right now," Mindartis says, looking around for a good place to climb up.

"Will your familiar be able to talk?"  Raven asks with a frown.  "Not sure how much information gathering it will be able to do, since I think we are more wanting to ask the fey some questions, not look around their homes." She shrugs.  "For now we should probably work on this idea of baiting a trap for the Candyman."

"I'd suggest you get some climbing gear first."  Raven says at the mention of climbing. "Even the best climbers make mistakes, and it is a very long fall without the right gear to catch you."

Also the tiptop twigs won't support any weight, that's why the little ones have it to themselves. Also, Del continues forgive the directness, but it looks like you did not sleep well last night Lord Mindartis

On the trap plan, seems we agree I'm the best bait. Could Sister Raven stay hidden and observe and follow if the whatevers take me somewhere - then she fetches the cavalry?

"Should we give the good magic-wielder time to cast his spell, and summon his companion?"  Raven suggests.  "One more set of eyes wouldn't be a bad thing."

“To summon my familiar will take about an hour. If I am to levitate Mindartis I also request a short rest afterwards before the honeypot. I’d rather be at my full arcane potential for this Candyman.” Quentin tells the group.

Mindartis shrugs. "I meditated for several hours, I'm feeling fine. If you want to wait for the familiar I don't mind. And I suppose climbing gear wouldn't hurt."

Elwin nodded toward Quentin. "I believe we have time. In fact, I'm curious to see this ritual."

Then, turning to Mindartis, "As Del said though, its doubtful you'd find purchase on the branches up there." The warlock shrugged. "If we can't find a suitable spell while Quentin does his thing, perhaps we could find a net in case you fall?"

Mindartis goes off to look for climbing gear, his mind made up.

Quentin nods saying, “Of course you may observe and take notes. I’ll even try and explain what I’m doing so you may learn it yourself if you wish. Also don’t worry. If he shall fall I can catch him with my magic. Not net required he’ll simply gently float down.”

Thinking about where to try to contact Pixies, Del suggests Sharky's Socks is near the top of Locust, that might be a good base to start. Or, what is nearest Pitchpine? since that is probably where we are going to set the trap
