Listening in on a nearby conversation, Kairon gains the following information:
The great god Ubtao once guided the people of Chult, but he tired of their constant warring and abandoned them. Since then, Chultans have turned to the worship of other gods, some of which were tricksters and deceivers.
As the sun goes down, the chaos in the Thundering Lizard gradually increases. Crowds form around makeshift fighting pits as small lizards fight each other to the death. Other patrons engage in intense games of dice (which you didn't realize was possible). You also notice a few people write on a paper attached to the very crowded note board. Eventually, the bartender brings over a large platter of cooked snail shells, exotic meats, and tropical vegetables for Kairon. It looks like quite the meal.
Yi follows Kairon into the bar. "any new info? I'll give you the choice, you want me preach about satanism, or Christianity. just say the words and I'll get some info on the side"

Why are we here just to suffer when we could be here and not suffer :)
Kairon motions for Yi to sit next to her at the bar, "Not much. I only learned about the old protector of this city, the god Ubtao who abandoned the people after constant warring. They now look towards gods of mischief or trickery." She glances at the people around them, "If you plan on preaching anything to these people, I'd go with Satanism. A bunch of drunks will be very entertained by that." Kairon shifts her focus to the lizard fighting as she begins her meal.
[It seems like people are betting on the animals that fight each other. Whoever puts money on the surviving lizard gets the money from the losing side.]
Yi's face brightens up suddenly, "I'm not bard, but I'm glad like the hells to entertain some drunk patrons, this is going to be so fun!" Yi quickly gets his depictions of Satan and starts preaching
Kairon approaches the human collecting bets on a lizard. She doesn't know or care which lizard she is betting on. Two ales will do that to a person. She hands him 8 gold and stands near the "arena."
Yi passionately explains how they don't need to do anything, except for existing and entertaining people and Satan by doing wrong-doings. In addition, Satan can help empower people following him. After his performance, he goes down and asks about what is happening to the town and the history of the town

Yi:
In fact, as the crowd grows, a tall, dark-skinned human climbs up onto the table next to you and begins shouting at the crowd.
"Do not listen to this blasphemy! Have we lost all dignity? We stay true to Savras, and he bestows his gift upon us. Do not give in to this false god!"

Kairon:
At the fighting pit, 7 people remain. At the start of the round bets are placed. One lizard is bright blue and has a long spine running down its back, while the other is red, black, and white and stands upright on two legs. The half-orc running the game points to the blue one as you hand him your coin.

The blue lizard is ripped to shreds by its bipedal competitor. It's extremely gruesome.

Against all odds, Yi manages to keep a hold on his crowd. The older gentleman competing with you seems genuinely stunned but tries one more time.
"Do you hear what he's telling us? Disregard all that we've been taught, all in the name of a God we've never heard of? Cause chaos? Is this what we should really be focusing on when faced with the looming threat of the Death Curse?"

Rajag destructively buys 50 pounds of lizard tails and 60 pounds of tiger meat.
"Thank you." Odon gives the man the 2 gold and 40 silver and takes the purchase.
Keacan looks into the air smelling the idiocy from what Rajag is doing.
Kairon sits at the bar, nursing her new ale. She attempts to listen in on the conversations of those around her.

Yi gives Odon 3 gold. "heres the gold for the rations." Yi breathes under his breath, "could've negotiated, but I guess this makes for the stealing"

The tavern goers seem a little confused at the start but after a while a small crowd forms around you. They are asking a lot of questions, though.
"What does he want us to do?" "Can he save us from the Dying" "what's tha-Shut up Beele." "How do we serve him?"
