"Let's try the forest first." Taman agrees. "I will fly overhead with Kass, but stay close enough to come to your aid if danger is found." He sighs as his personal companions climb out of their wagon and prepare to continue on foot. "We will have to return for the wagons and horses at a later point."
You make your way through the trees and towards the city center. Because of the dense vegetation you can't seem to find any kind of path easing your going. Tassa and Ssarath also have a hard time pushing themselves between the trees. Since GrimmGrimm and Tassarath keeping a eye out for more spacious areas and guiding everyone you manage to push through. Nonetheless you are moving very slowly. After walking what you think must be about a couple hundreds of yards you notice movement ahead Under the setting sun shining through the leaves, you can make out a band of creatures of different sizes charging your way. You aren't sure about all of them, but you think to see at least some trolls, giants and goblins.
From up in the air, Tyto and Taman watch over the group. You can see the number of figures moving in the city center grow larger. Although you can't make out yet who or what they are, you see that there is a wide variety in figures moving around. If it weren't for the clearly ruined state of the buildings, it would seem like a busy city with people of different races running around. They also seem to move more restlessly as if routed by something. After some time a group of figures seems to be moving away from the city center, into the forest and towards your companions.

"You know, if it weren't for us you'd never be able to push through this brush," remarks Ssarath to the elephants' rider. Tassarath was forced to concede that point. It was a pain to move around the trees, but at least the elephants didn't require a bushwacker ahead of them to clear the undergrowth.
"Heads up," grunts Tass to the group.
As Tassarath gets eyes on the the charging menagerie, he immediately assumes Air Elemental Form and begins considering spells at his disposal while trying to gauge their intentions and distance.

The tabaxi sits up higher in his saddle to see better, hand instinctively moving to the hilt of his rapier. "J'zargo the Restless welcomes the change in pace. It has been too long since J'zargo's sword has tasted the sweetness of blood."
He unslings his crossbow and loads a bolt while directing Ma'zaqq with his knees. "Do tell J'zargo, friends-with-a-better-view, is this a similar situation to the time with the Orcs, or the regrettable incident involving the undead?"
You sense there to be some decisiveness in their charge. It seems less like a horde of rage-infected Orcs and more like guards on their way to capture a notorious criminal. As they approach you can also see they are slowing down a little, adopting a more cautious posture. Currently they are about 200ft in front of you.
As Tyto and Kass close in on the village to get a better view, you notice the commotion rising up into a general state of panic. The city is filled with an ensemble of goblins, worgs, ogres and giants. Many of them are pointing towards you. In the middle you can see one of the giants in heavy armour giving out orders. Suddenly some small rocks and makeshift arrows are flying towards you. you are far enough to be out of any danger, but instinctively you fly up again.
Is the city only filled with goblins, ogres, etc? Or they seem to be invading/chasing the humans/humanoids away?
Tyto, return to me before things get out of hand. Ignus looks ahead at the creatures. He closes his eyes for a moment, reopening them to reveal glowing, burning orange. He holds his hands up as flickers of flame ignite in his palms. "We mean no harm, but will not back down from a fight. State your intentions here at once!"
Taman initiative: 21 He will attempt to cast wall of force placing it to cut the force coming at them in half, with the others blocked from moving forward by the wall.

A toothy grin crosses the Tabaxi's face as the collective arcane powers of the group are unleashed on the horde in front of them. "J'zargo the Diplomatic is thinking you are no good at negotiating, friend Ignus. They will most certainly reply to your questions when their mouths are turned to ash with the rest of their bodies, no?"
Good-natured ribbing complete, J'zargo readies his crossbow for anything getting close enough (within 100ft). The tabaxi had learned long ago to wait until the light show was finished, before engaging (what was left of) the enemy himself.

Tassarath assents from the back of his beast friends.
"Then it is decided. Into the forest we go."
He does not hesitate to shout advice from his moderately tall vantage point, attempting to assist Grimrimm as they go along.
If this counts as Helping, here's the advantage roll for Grimmrim. 26
If you prefer it being a separate Survival check, that result is 3 points higher if Tassarath makes his own.

Ignus will reach out to Tyto. Get closer to the city. We need to know if there is something scaring all these creatures, or if they wish us harm.

You don't see any humans/humanoids, it looks more like the creatures are defending the city.
