" I can have it organised by tonight. Do you have all the documents you need though? This is a risky undertaking, I want to make sure we prepared for everything we can prepare for, before sending you off.
Just to go through the checklist, you have your credentials, signed order from the Blaze, an idea of who's on duty the night we strike, and the ship's plans? If you need help with anything before we strike, let me know now. I'm happier waiting another night and knowing we've prepared fully, than rushing and having you enter the lion's den without sufficient protection." The last sentence seemed to be aimed particularly at Blair as well.

A boisterous giggle would leave her lips when Dart would hurriedly grab his belongings. Blair would size glance Magnus with a smirk, returning her hand to his knee. “Okay...” She’d playfully pout. “I’ll save them for later.” Her pout wouldn’t last long, she’d be smiling again and her nails grazing along as he’d flatter her. The redhead would return his look with another wink.
As the boys return to their discussion, she’d listen contently still resting her chin in the palm of her free hand, elbow on the table. Still smiling. As they went through the checklist, she’d brush her foot against the closest leg she could reach. She’d give Magnus’ knee a squeeze when slipping in concern for protection. “What do you suggest?” She purrs playfully.
Blair would raise a brow, sitting back in her seat to look Parker up and down once again when excitement would spur around the table over Blaze’s seal. She’d pull her mug of ale to her lips and watch the halfelf through her eyelashes. A smirk would grow from her lips, sipping from her drink to stifle an amused giggle. Bold.
“Do you need a hand?” She coos to Parker, placing her mug down.
Blair's smirk would grow watching Parker. "Not everyone likes to pay top dollar." She'd uncross her legs to stand up from her seat. "Do you?" She'd take her steps around the table, running her hand along it as she'd make her way over to him. "I can be good company." The red head would use her foot to tap the halfelf's, nudging his foot out so she could help herself and take a seat on his lap. "Perhaps help haggle down some prices for you? If my hands aren't enough." She'd reach to gently tug at his collar to correct it. "A little tit for tat. Hmm?"
In the Heapside District, on the third floor of a four-story stone structure that often emits smoke plumes of different colors from various chimneys, and intermittent surprise flashes of light, a svirfneblin sits on a stool leaning over a large workbench. The attic-studio seems cluttered, but everything is well-cared-for and ready to use without a spare glance from its lone occupant.
The deep gnome's eyes glow red in the pitch black, his preferred way to work. Perhaps that's why no one joined him very often. Or perhaps it was his preference for quiet. Or perhaps it was his... unique haircut: spiky mohawk crest of white hair, and the rest of his head bare, dark-blue skin covered in scar-like runes, or rune-like scars. (The hair refused to grow back. He'd never been able to figure that out.)
His fingers dance across a mangled crankshaft, tinker tools in hand. The sprocketdriver and stiletto file alternately turn the crank and file down burrs and clear off scorch marks. Eventually the crankshaft looks a lot more functional.
He's interrupted by a loud bang on the other side of the wall in front of him and instantly the crankshaft and tools disappear in separate drawers. His eyes dart to the door, and in his hands now are a red polished gemstone and the business end of a large cylinder. No sound yet. He focuses on the cylinder's cap, muttering a few words in dwarvish, and the gemstone glows, while filaments of light settle into the cylinder in simple arcane waves. Still no sounds. He grunts, sets the gemstone aside, and finally hearing no footsteps from outside, sets the cylinder aside and takes up the crankshaft and tools again from their hiding places. Takes half the time to finish today's quota as Avery thinks. I'll have this up and running by week's end. He doesn't need to know about it. Just like he doesn't need to know about those missing barrels.
The workday finishes quickly and he retires to his living chamber, a little alcove under the stairway to the fourth floor. He eats a quick lunchtime meal as the sun sets, and assembles a different set of tools, along with two daggers, stowed away in various pockets secreted around his hard leather outfit, covered in a dark hooded cloak. He checks his pockets a third time, and pads to the small window, avoiding a creaky floorboard he'd never gotten around to fixing. He pulls out a thin tool and opens the inside and outside latches simultaneously, bracing the wobbly left shutter to block any noise. He hops onto the sill, relatches the window and shutter, and turns to face the city, sunset light disappearing into fog. His heels barely on the ledge, thirty feet of nothing below him. 'Better hurry before this weather blows in.'
He edges his way along a narrow awning and whirls around a corner, quickly climbing up the side of the final story, and angling himself up onto the main roof. He crawls up near the peak, turns around on his back, and lays out, limbs splayed, to watch the sky, counting stars, utterly happy for a moment. Two. Three. Eventually he'd move along the other rooftops and into the night, but for now, he absorbed the wide galaxy above him.
Magnus gives his greetings and departs, trying to make sure you will have a ship to strike tonight.
What's the plan for the trio in the remaining five hours?
-----------------------
Murph, the stars twinkle and sparkle delightfully, but after a while the smog from the steel mills on the southbank creeps up and start to blot out the sky, only allowing the faded light of the moon to shine through. With the sky gone and light gone, it's time for your nightly explorations.
Where are you headed?

Blair would playfully blow a kiss goodbye to Magnus, waving him off as she'd cross her legs and lean herself back against the stuttering Parker, settling in on his lap. "And here I was just getting comfortable." She'd pout playfully. "But if you boys are the type that like to rush, I suppose I can accommodate." Her nails would tickle at Parker's chest as she'd glance over to Dart. He seemed the most eager and hasty of the two. They did say they wanted to complete the job tonight, so she didn't disagree that they should get to work. Though, she'd sit contently on her perch in silence for a moment before probing the conversation once again. "So, what first?" She'd smile, plucking at one of the half-elfs buttons.
Murph stands up slowly as the smog occludes the bit of sky he'd been lost in. He stands up, and begins to slowly make his way to the edge of the rooftop, looking to the next one. Low easy jumps, tiptoeing across shingles connecting one building to the next, gentle tosses of a padded grappling hook across open streets, he begins to traverse the city by rooftop.
He'll occasionally pause, still, for minutes at a time, memorizing as always the patterns of the city watch, looking for changes from routine. Avoiding some intersections with any residents he'd found to be particularly observant over the last few months. He finally sees his target, a fletchery to check out a window that might grant access to pick up some shafts to purloin.
A hop and a scurry up to the target window. And then picking any lock or disarm any trap he notices, and sneaking in to get a bundle of shafts, or if he's very lucky, actual manufactured crossbow bolts.
As Murph reaches the roof opposite the fletchery, he sees light inside the second-floor office window. Of all the nights, someone had to be working late tonight! He still makes out an attic window that could allow him egress into the office.
If you want to try and get inside, roll a stealth check to try and get onto the fletchery unnoticed.
If you want to look for an easier target, narrate your way there.

Sitting in a stupor trying to figure out how Blair managed to get my coin purse I miss my opportunity to speak with Magnus about changing our strike to tomorrow evening. Both to give us more time to prepare and me more time to change the docks watch schedule.
At any rate, what is done is done ... and we strike tonight. I’ll need to go to the docks and tell Billy ... or was it Joe ... that I’ll be taking a longer shift tonight/ tomorrow morning. To try and avoid anyone seeing us that we don’t want to.
Having been lost in my own thoughts I look at Blair sitting on Parker’s lap with surprise. “Can’t the celebration wait until after?” chastising the two of them.
“Magnus said he was getting a ship ready unless I am mistaken” I say to the stuttering Parker.
“It would be helpful to know who is on the ship tonight ... though I’m not certain where to gather that information.” Looking between the two of them while rubbing my temples before continuing. “I would also feel more comfortable with a layout of the ship. I don’t suppose you would be able to find out either of those two things Blair?” Giving her a look that says ‘I hope you are able to do something useful besides take my coin purse.’
“If we had more time ... though I figure we don’t know. We could try and actually get a seal from a blaze.” Looking at Parker being completely flummoxed by Blair, I snap to get his attention. “If Magnus has the boat covered what do you think we should do to further prepare between now and then? Maybe gathering uniforms perhaps...”
"The ships duty roster would only be on the ship. Its not something they broadcast. " Parker suddenly all business. "Im not sure where ship plans would be kept outside of the builder or an insurerer. Or the ship itself of course." Takes a big gulp of ale arm brushing Blairs back while doing so.
