Murph darts back home, gleefully picking it way through the window, and formulating some plans already. He spends an hour closely examining what he's been given to try to understand everything he can about it, comparing it to anything he's read about or seen, poring over books and discarded broken pieces of other gadgetry he's squirreled away over the years. He tries to come up with a plan of how one might replicate the main devices, how to make the current ones work as earpieces, and what power source might be required for subsequent copies.
Parker begrudgingly finds another pen and finishes the paperwork needed by 2 local merchants aka his day job.
once those are ready he puts them in envelopes and in his pick up box. "deliver these tomorrow, or find a boy to act as courier, depends how tonight goes"
Murph, you figure that the stones can easily be splint and ground down to make them smaller and part of something wearable, while still maintaining their enchantment. That way, you might be able to make more pieces, all of which are linked to each other. You reckon you might be able to make up to four per disc, for a total of eight pieces, if you split the stones right. To hold them in place, you figure that any material would do, with either something metallic to make it look like decorative jewelry, or leather for a cheaper and more comfortable fit. By attaching them to sit just behind the ear, they should be able to let you hear, while picking up the vibrations from the jaw when you speak. As you're planning though, you struggle to figure out a way to keep these powered and your immediate ideas for a powersource, arcane or otherwise, seem impractical for now.

Murph happily works away on his new toys, fashioning with some bits of scrap wire and plating, as well as some leather straps, a brace to hold one stone up against his ear. He munches on another cold plate of dinner as he does so. He tries it out, making small adjustments, then plays with the other stone in his hand.
He really focuses on the arcane nature of the items, trying to understand them better. His hand creates patterns above it, not quite working into spells, but analyzing the enchanted essence of it as well as he can. He does another hour of work examining the stone disc for the right way to split it, selecting tools for the job. But he doesn't do so that night. He cleans up, organizes things as best he can, and gets ready to sleep. As he gets ready to tuck himself into his small bed in the alcove, his mind travels great distances to consider everything he's ever heard about mechanisms that power items such as this -- how they are designed, what materials they require, anything he's noticed about them when he's seen them or read about them. He'd like to be ready to tackle that part of the problem tomorrow.
Murph, while you drift off to sleep, you think on the enchantments on the stones, so far only containing elements of evocation. You haven't determined exactly what the enchantments do, but you figure that trying to combine sigils of two schools might be a bit too difficult for you. You do remember playing around with the eliciter and then shocking yourself by accident afterwards. Maybe you might be able to create some sort of magical effect to replicate that, since you clearly saw the static from the eliciter be sufficient to power the stones.

“That is a fair point.” I admit to the individual, “Far be it from me to question the orders I’m given. I was told something about wanting to compare the plans to the actual layout of the ship... all seems like a lot of bother to me.” I shrug my shoulders and give a look of ‘I’m just doing as instructed.’ I begin pressing him for information, “Do you recall which Blaze it was that threatened your ship? ... It was yours right? The way you just spoke about it inclines me to think so...” I let the sentence trail off waiting for his reply.
Blair was cinched up tight in her leathers. There was no wrinkle in her attire and no curve went unessentuated. The Flame followed the best view in the house as the redhead lead their way down the corridor with firm steps and swaying hips. There were no words, just the sounds of Blair’s boots hitting the floor. She’d barely pause as she’d reach their destination, opening the door in one smooth motion, stepping in first to take command of the room. Pausing, she’d stand feet shoulder width apart, bringing her hand to her hips before glancing over her shoulder to watch her companions approach. Blair would wait for her to step in behind her, and when she was close, with a swift back kick, she’d boot the door shut behind them.
After a brief pause for tension, Blair would turn to look her prey up and down, stepping slowly around her. This is a woman with power and knows exactly what she wants. Blair could purr in excitement, a woman after he own heart. But she wouldn’t. No. Not yet. Her Flame’s here because she’s unsatisfied. She has her needs. And there isn’t someone within her reach who can please her, dominate her the way she wants, and needs.
Having completed her tour, Blair would pause again to quietly judge the woman before her. “You’re mine tonight.” She’d reach forward, hooking two fingers into the front of her pants. Blair would tug the Flame to her, leaning in to stare up into her eyes, lips close. “Your desires will be satisfied.” She’d then back up with her, pulling her with her further into the room as she works her belt. “I won’t stop until you beg.” Blair would pull free the flames belt from her pants, expertly snapping it against the floor to simulate the sound of a whip snap. A slight smirk would grow on her lips as she’d reach into the front of her cleavage with her other hand to slowly start pulling out a blindfold.
Insight: 18 Is Blair on the right track? How smitten is her client? What stimuli is she reacting to the most? Does she prefer the tease or cut to the chase? Is Blair able to judge the level of pain her companion enjoys if any, and when and how she enjoys relief from it? (this may be better for the medic check for when I get her undressed.)
"Right, of course, I'm sorry... I guess we all have to work for somebody... Much rather you do that *****'s bidding than I, though, no offense." It seems to you that the clerk is not the most astute sort, talking in so frank a manner about the Blaze. "And no, the ship belongs to the company, I'm just a clerk. But the Jahasco family has been good to me, I've been with them for nigh on thirty years now, I feel like their ship is mine too, you know? Anyway, what do you need, exactly? Ship's plans? All I've got are these registry papers and the trad charter... oh, and the log book. I think the registry papers or the charter have something of a layout somewhere though, apparently it's a registration thing, necessary for taxes and what not... Anyway, have a look for yourself, if you want." With that, he points to a storage unit behind him, filled to the brim with files, ledgers and other documents.

While meeting eyes with her bratty prey, Blair fed off of the mutual excitement. Her smirk would grow into a challenged grin, sticking her tongue out revealing a golden barbell pierced through it as she’d lick along her mouth in anticipation. She’d fold the belt in two as she’d take a strut around her companion. Blair didn’t need her Flame to talk... A whimper would be a good start. She’d wind up and give a healthy, loud spank with the belt against her ass, immediately following it with hooking the blindfold across her eyes from behind. The redhead would give it a good tug as she’d tie it tightly, pulling herself to press against her back.
Blair would blow a cool breeze against the nape of her neck as she’d start running her hands along her companions body. She’d eventually work her way back around to the front of her, plucking buttons free and unzipping any zippers she found. The redhead would slowly and methodically free her Flame of her clothes, helping herself to the full view of her playground. As she handled the clothes, Blair would of course pick through the pockets for documentation or any items of interest she could find. Should she be lucky to get her paws on what she needed to make the boys happy, she’d have the freedom to focus on pleasing her client for the rest of her time. Her quality of work wasn’t something she was going to sacrifice. She fully intended to follow through with satisfying her Flame so she’d come for her time and time again. She’d be a fun pet worth keeping close.
Now that she was bare and exposed, Blair would complete another slow tour to build up tension as she’d study her canvas and plan her ‘attack’. Biting her lip, Blair would take note of any scars or bruising, deciphering pain vs pleasure so she could map out her route. On this pass, she’d bring the Flames arms down behind her back, pushing her towards the bed. She’d then step at the back of her knees, bringing her down on them before the edge of the bed. The redhead would secure the belt tightly around her companions wrist before wrapping, weaving and looping it around her other wrist, binding her hands tightly behind her back. And it gave Blair something to hold her there as she’d kick at the inside of her thighs to spread them. She’d give an open hand slap her companions other cheek to match the redness of the other just before she’d bed over her to coo into her ear as she’d grope. The redhead would keep her submissive until her fingers found the right spot to get the sound she wanted.
Once there, Blair would bring her back up off her knees, spin her, and shove her back down on the bed. With her clients hands still bound behind her, the red head would caress the front of her body with her mouth and hands, working her way down. Kneeling at the edge of the bed between her legs, Blair would hook her Flames hips, pulling her closer to her.
Murph bursts out of bed with an idea before sleep takes him. He grabs notes from a book he'd "borrowed" for a few months back and begins reading, and then pulls the discs out of the back of their hidden drawer, flipping them over and over along his fingers. He also pulls out the eliciter, eyeing its design. He then stands up and walks to the corner of the room and pulls the cover of his smaller grindstone, remembering all the times it had given him a shock after having been spun for a while. He spins it up and after a few minutes, tries a basic arcane link between the stone and one of the discs, trying to visualize a way to allow a similar kind of power to flow from a spinning wheel to the disc and power more versions of it.
Regardless of what happens with the grindstone, he turns back to his desk and begins drawing up plans for a tiny metal wheel, no wider than his pinky finger, housed in a smooth flat iron cylindrical casing, and with the wheel enchanted to repel the sides of the casing and spin for long periods of time, and then the whole casing enchanted with a link to the disc, providing a power source. Once he can't work anymore and needs sleep, he takes the plans and hides them under his mattress and then tries to return to sleep.

I make my way to the indicated storage area and begin rifling through, trying my best to quickly find what I’m looking for. “Is there some sort of organization to all of this?” Trying to get some idea of the best place to start to find what I’m looking for.
Blair, as you slowly undress the flame, you feel both the coin pouch with which she likely paid for this tête-à-tête with you, as well as what seems like a scroll case. Putting the blindfold onto your client and cuffing her hands, you get a moment to verify the contents of the case, and find a rolled up parchment.
While a little bit of anticipation can build the tension, and you can tell by her quickened breathing that it has its desired effect, you know when to turn your attention back to the client. The document would have to wait a bit.
As you explore her body, you find a scar underneath her left clavicle and on the back, just to the right of the shoulder blade, likely from an arrow. You keep the injury in mind as you put her arms behind her back and push her forward and get to work. You're a professional, and it doesn't take long for the Flame to speak- though, less speaking, and more stammering, before she starts to beg.
Parker, while your work progresses, you need more information. It's all still pretty vague, and the events of the other night with its international implications didn't make things any clearer. For now though, you could work on getting access, and that was valuable in and of itself.
Dart, the clerk jsut shrugs: "As far as I know, they're sorted by the year the ship was built... but I don't know off the top of my head, when that would be." You sigh loudly, before starting to flip through the documents. It takes you the better part of two hours, but eventually you come across a file labelled "Emerald Empress". Opening it, you find plenty of registration documents and certificates of ownership that Parker would no doubt find very interesting, but you can't really make neither heads nor tails of. Towards the back of the file, you find an inventoried list of things on the ship, probably for insurance purposes. What is interesting to you though is that it marks the layout of the ship pretty clearly.

Blair heard her, but she wouldn't stop until the Flame bucked and trembled in her arms. Louder. And when she was, she'd only then slowly back off, blowing lightly on the inside of her thighs, gently letting go. "Breathe my pet." She'd muse. The redhead would gently, but firmly slap the insides of her thighs as she helps herself up off the ground. With her hands freed and allowing her pet a breather in the dark, Blair would take the moment to wipe her mouth clean, help herself to the documents and prepare a little something. She'd slowly pace the room, boots clicking, to build up anticipation.
Sleight of hand: 13 Adv?: 9
But she wouldn't leave her whimpering companion too long. She wasn't done getting all she wanted from her. Blair would mount the Flame, pinning her hips between her thighs. Her companion would feel the sensation of heat hitting her bare skin. The redhead had begun pouring hot massage wax, melting from a candle, beginning from above her navel up through to her sternum. She'd blow out the candle allowing the scents to mingle.
Blair would work the wax oil, spreading it around her skin. She'd gently start running her hands along the Flames sides and chest, working her way to her clavicle, tickling her scar with her fingers. She'd eventually begin massaging her shoulders, arms and neck, bending in to whisper in her ear. "Are you satisfied with your care?" She'd purr.
She'd continue to work her sore and tense muscles, hoping to persuade her for her invite. "How else can I be of service to you?Any one you need us to tame?" She'd coo. If the Flame wanted to please her crew, or keep them in line, she had her Kits.
Murph rises shortly after he settles down again, unable to sleep more than a cat-nap. He dresses again for the night, repeats his preparation and exit out the window. He darts across the rooftops toward an estate he had in mind which might have some useful components for the project he had in mind.
You manage to get the document out of its case, and as you see the head of the flame turn in your direction, curious as to what you might be doing now that she was blindfolded, you quickly mount your plaything to keep her mind occupied. You can tell that the document is an order of sorts, and it has the seal you've been looking for on it. The only hitch to the whole thing: it was broken open, so you'd have to find a way to get an imprint of both halves and let Parker do his magic.
That would have to wait though, you still needed to manage to get the twins and yourself onto the ship for the night. As you whisper in the Flames' ear though, you can tell that she is displeased at the question, and for the first time, she breaks the silence: "I come to you, for myself."
Murph, hearing the bells in the distance strike half past nine, you get a flash of inspiration: clockwork, specifically, tiny spinning gears and wound up springs, like in a pocket watch. That was it! It was small enough to be easily integrated, and they turned for days without running out of power. If you could combine them with the telelith, you probably could power them for long enough.
The tinkering nature in yourself satisfied, the thief comes to the fore. There were plenty of watchmakers and jewellers in the Bloomridge District, looked like it was time to check their security.
Dart and Parker, what are your plans? You both hear the clock strike half past nine as well.

Excitement coursing through his small frame, Murph pauses, closes his eyes, and takes a deep breath. Easy does it. You have time.
He opens his eyes and sets forward to the Bloomridge District across rooftops yet again, through the fog, pausing to allow any patrols to pass by underneath before crossing out in the open. He uses his hearing as much as his eyes, very comfortable out of the light.
When he get close, he begins a methodical casing of joints. When he finds one that seems promising and unoccupied, he'll get to work with lockpicks near a window away from the street, check for any traps, and try to get in for a look.

"How else can I be of service to you? Any one you need us to tame?" She'd coo. If the Flame wanted to please her crew, or keep them in line, she had her Kits.

just an unstable unicorn.
