Both cultists are cut down but Draskan brings the Ancients Maw up and around deflecting the longsword strike

After blocking the attack, Draskan reacts by bringing the maul crashing down

The Raksasha’s eyes widen as the maul bypasses it’s guard before it’s head is obliterated by the impact. It’s body crumpled downwards onto the floor. 
Seconds pass by and the body starts to disintegrate, the infernal creature dissipating back to the netherrealm it was summoned from. The evoker who survived by fighting at your side collapses to floor and starts sobbing for the loss of his friends. 
From the far side of the room you hear a rasping, gurgling breath from Mahrad

Eoni’s ears prick up at the sound of Mahrad and she slowly approaches him.

You should be dead, she growls menacingly. Her dark features reappear, an even darker and more powerful energy emanating from her being.

A quick glance shows the massive chest wounds inflicted by Rollo. Mahrad is not long for this world if there are any questions you want to ask of him you don’t have long to pose them

Eoni kneels down beside Mahrad, revealing a dagger in her hand.

I want to watch you suffer for what you did to me and so many countless children, but then I realise that makes me no better than you. Eoni sighs, Where did you take the children that were here?

As the Traveller wills.  He gurgles, bloody foam bubbling from his lips. To... Ashtakala.... and their divine purpose

Eoni studies Mahrad to see if he’s telling the truth.

I will make this quick, she sighs and then an evil look comes over her face, but I will make sure the Traveller never embraces you again according to your own teachings. Isn’t it that you can only be accepted into the Traveller’s arms by showing your true face at the end?

Eoni slowly drags the dagger’s blade across Mahrad’s throat, splitting it open. She then proceeds to cut away at his face and it is soon made apparent that she has skinned his face from his head. She drops the remains of his skinned face in Mahrad’s hand and then stands up, wiping her hands on her skirts and pocketing the dagger, Explain that to your god...

She then swivels around, transforming back to her usual joyful self and grins at the group, Shall we?

So, they were working for the lord of dust, why would that be? To what gain?

Belris watches with cold fury. That man was not a disciple of the Traveller! None of this is in his name! The Traveller was one of the first beings to fight alongside the great dragons against the demon overlords they would never condone this. Especially not involving children! They see the Travellers truth most clearly and are to be cherished!

Eoni shrugs, still wiping her hands of his blood, Either way, his face was annoying me...

So what shall we do now? Belris do you plan to help and track down the lost children or is there somewhere else you need to be?

Rescuing the children will be my highest priority! They won’t be too far ahead if we leave now!

Outside the tracks the carts left are clear and easy to follow. Searching for some means to catch them up Draskan discovers a cart that has two sturdy horses already tacked up and ready to go. Searching the back of the cart he discovers a number of chests. Cracking them open and peering inside reveals gold and platinum coins. Busting out his clawed toes for some mental math he calculates that there are 1500 platinum coins and 14000 gold coins inside three of the chests. Atop the platinum pieces are a set of spectacles and a cloudy grey potion.

Eoni picks up the spectacles and potion, taking a closer look.
