"Umbriel is right," Ireniana adds. "You've come a long way yourself, but there are times when we have to find our own destiny. The world is much kinder to folks like you nowadays and it's such a vast world. I'll be honest, I've enjoyed teaching you and traveling with you. I've always wanted a little brother."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Baeshra will mutter to himself in draconic for a moment, then shrug and drop one each gold, silver and copper coins into the dish before kneeling briefly before the tree.
" Shrine?"
Baeshra will glance over as he stands, "It seems to be an old druidic shrine. Coin will buy a weary traveler some respite."
(What time of day is it?)
" Coins? Seems an odd choice of offering for your faith....but I suppose all folks have use for those little metal disks."
Assuming that Baeshra comes out and relays the info about he found, everyone who wants to should go in, make a tribute and get the benefits of a Long Rest.
Droop will go in and donate a handful of ball bearings and two coppers.
Rosie adds two gold pieces and offers up a prayer to the Wild Mother before taking her rest. "Dear Mother, bless those who provided this place of rest. Bring them peace and joy."

The coins disappear and you both feel rejuvenated!

The party continues their journey, feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world.
You travel an hour later than normal, hoping to make up a little lost time. As the sun is drawing near to the horizon, you all find a nice spot to setup camp, and eat dinner.
Lyngheid, Umbriel, Rosie and Droop were all unable to find enough food for the day and have to break into their rations once again (subtract from your inventory).
After dinner, you are all sitting around the campfire as the sun goes down and the light grows dim. Suddenly a voice calls out "Hail the camp!" and a human male, gray hair, short pointy beard steps out from the darkness.
He is followed by a female half orc with tusks that are quite large and a male tiefling with red skin. They walk to within 30 feet of the fire and spread out in a semi-circle about 10 feet apart.

"Greetings, friends - care to join us and swap tales of the road?" Umbriel states this warmly, but scans the newcomers carefully, trying to discern their motives - Insight8
They nod as Baeshra makes room for them and each approach to within 15 feet, but continue to spread out further from each other and they stay standing.
Umbriel, the human male has a smile on his face, but his eyes aren't smiling. You also get the sense that they are studying each of your faces closely.
The human speaks again. "Tales from the road, huh? You folks seem to be far from the nearest road. Where are you all headed?"
Baeshra speaks up from near the edge of the light, "South, we entered the forest to avoid the wildfire in the grasslands we saw earlier. Besides, the roads are boring, the wildlands are where the beautiful sights and interesting people can be found. What brings you into this forest?"

The human male looks Baeshra up and down, pulls out a piece of parchment and looks at it, then back at the group. He nods to the tiefling and the half-orc before responding to Baeshra:
"The lot of you do, actually. We've been looking for you."
To his companions he says: "Yep, this is them."
The tiefling takes a manacle from his belt and throws it on the ground in front of you. The human speaks again. "Now, no one has to get hurt on this fine evening. How about you, little one over there."He motions to Rosie. "Pick up those manacles and put them on your Lizard friend here. The rest of you stay seated, we'll be with you shortly. Except for the goblin. Wasn't expecting no goblin."
At this the half-orc speaks up. "Just kill the goblin, aye, Maxx?"

Droop listens intently to Umbriel and Ireniana. "Droop learn lots! Umbrella make great sacrifice?"
He turns to Ireniana: "Yes! Droop is goblin brother! We travel and explore! One fine day, we eat horse!" Droop pats Pale on the belly.

Whistler puts in a couple of gold coins in hopes that the dish is a wishing well and his owlbear friend would come back to play.

The gold vanishes and the owlbear is nowhere to be found. You do feel remarkably refreshed though (long rest on your character sheet).
Umbriel will also place two coppers in the dish and pay his respects to the powers that be.
Rosie adds two gold pieces and offers up a prayer to the Wild Mother before taking her rest. "Dear Mother, bless those who provided this place of rest. Bring them peace and joy."

Baeshra will rise gently when the newcomers approach, leaving his club and shield on the ground, and move to make room by the fire for the newcomers.

Lyngheid casually waves the strangers in, they outnumber them by quite a lot so she's not overly worried.
OOC: Lyngheid has now exhausted her rations.
Drops two silver in the bowl.
Whistler shares his berries and nuts with Lyngheid.

Uh-oh, you had better get good at foraging!
Take your long rest!

Lyngheid burst out laughing, " Really? Are there more of you? Like a lot more...like maybe triple the number?"
" Got a picture of us....mercenaries then?"
" How about you lot just jog on. Your obviously outmatched."
OOC: Summon Spiritual Weapon. Just hovering over her for now.
