!!Lost Mine of Phandelver Campaign Thread!!

Umbriel falls back on his trusty Eldritch Blast and sends one straight into Ephialtes who absorbs it with an "Oomph".  The tiefling is looking pretty hurt.

Maxx, struggling against his manacles, sees Pussaey Willow go down and the formerly unconscious party members start to rise back off the ground and fire shots at Ephriates, shouts

"All right!  We yield!  We surrender! You've got us!"

Following the surrender, Baeshra will race over next to the tiefling and wait for his response.

OK, fast forwarding through the initiative.

Round 8 Initiative:
Lyngheid: 20
Maxx Wood: 18
Whistler: 16
Droop: 12
Ireniana: 11
Pussaey Willow: 10
Rosie: 9
Ephialtes: 8
Umbriel: 4
Baeshra:4

Lyngheid gets a turn.

Maxx struggles at his shackles and uses his action to rotate around so his hands are touching Pussaey Willow.  "Let me stabilize her!"

Whistler gets a turns.

Ireniana and Rosie are stable.  

Ephialtes nods and says "Aye, you'll have no further trouble from me."  Then he gets a panicked look in his eyes and says "I don't know about that thing though!  I'm not great at controlling my magic, and I don't know what it is!"

With that the Quadrone lets loose another round of arrows.  One at Ephialtes, Dino-Baeshra, Droop and Umbriel: 20, 18, 9, 6.

Ephialtes takes 3 piercing damage, Dino-Baeshra takes 7 piercing damage and Umbriel takes 4 piercing damage.

Ephialtes winces and says "Allow me!" and then sends a bolt of Fire at the Quadrone: 24.  But it sails right under the buzzing machine.

OK, everyone who is conscious gets a turn to do with what they will.

Whistler attempts to knock out Maxx.

Attack: 23 Damage: 13

Whistler throws his footwear at Maxx.  Maxx winces as it bounces off his forehead.  "That really hurt! I'm gonna have a lump there, you idiot! Who throws a shoe?"

Umbriel will glower at Maxx and Ephialtes, then reach down and cast Spare the Dying on the half-orc. He'll then proceed to tie her hands with rope, and he says to Maxx,"Who sent you?"

Lyngheid moves back and prepares to cast Spare the Dying on PW sending a withering glare Maxs way.....but Umbriel does it first.

Turning she looks towards the buzzing mechanoid, " Tiefling. You need to take care of that, any arrow that hits one of our people is a swing our little bird friend gets at you."

" Who needs healing? Not you, Max."

Ireniana rises to her feet and looks at the blood on her armor. She glances toward Pussaey Willow and nods. "I won't sugarcoat it, you kicked the crap out of us. All of you. Why are you here?" 

OOC: Those are all fine round 8 turns, although Ireniana is still unconscious but stable. Waiting on Baeshra's turn and then the responses will start in Round 9.

Droop Round 8: The little goblin stands up from stabilizing Ireniana, hisses at Maxx and turns to take a shot at the Quadrone with his shortbow: 15.  The arrow bounces off the metal machine, doing no damage!

Baeshra will turn to the shooty thing and charge at it, pounce and attack.

Attack: 5 Damage: 10 claw
Attack: 11 Damage: 9 claw
Attack: 22 Damage: 8 bite

If either claw hits, dc 12 str save or prone and a bonus bite.

Attack: 23 Damage: 6 bite

Dino-Baeshra races over to the Quadrone and manages to land a bite! 

Round 9:
Everyone unconscious has been stabilized.

Maxx replies: "Thank you for stabilizing her.  If I'm here when she wakes up, things will go better.  There's a scroll in my pack, it's got your pictures on it and a reward of 500 GP, signed by someone called The Black Spider."

To Lyngheid: "I could use a bit of that special touch you got there, sugar."

Ephialtes looks over as Lyngheid shouts and gulps.  "I'm doing what I can, a little help would be nice!"  He sends a [spell]Fire Bolt[spell] at the Quadrone: 25.  The bolt of flame bursts into the side of the buzzing machine, doing 1 fire damage.

Just as Maxx finishes talking, the Quadrone sends out another round of arrows.  One at Maxx: 7 it flies into the bard for 3 piercing damage.  Maxx shouts "Ephialtes, get control of that damned thing!"  It sends an arrow at Ephialtes: 7.  Piercing the sorcerer for 3.  It sends another at Baeshra: 13, and another at Baeshra: 6.  Both arrows bounce off the tough Dino-hide.

 The quadrone is a starting to sound like it's running a little rough.  Everyone who is conscious has a Round 9 turn.

Whistler has fully embraced the raging Kenku inside, breathing extremely deeply and growling like a certain Owlbear.

Baeshra continues to savage the thingy.

Attack: 9 Damage: 4
Attack: 15 Damage: 9
Attack: 18 Damage: 7

Assuming that drops it, Baeshra will revert forms and escort the tiefling back to the group to be bound.

Umbriel will flick an Eldritch Blast at the irritable box, too. Attack: 21 Damage: 9

Umbriel's Eldritch Blast and Dino-Baeshra's savage attacks manage to bring it down.  The Quadrone buzzes to a sad stop and spins to the ground.  Then it crumples to dust, leaving behind a shortbow and a quiver half full of arrows.

Baeshra escorts Ephialtes back to the rest of the group and he sheepishly allows his hands to be bound.

Maxx says: "Let  me wake up Willow, I've still got a spell or two left."

"She's stable, and sleeping soundly judging by the snoring. She'll have a hell of a headache when she wakes, but before then, I want to ask you some questions. You say there's a contract out on us, by The Black Spider. Where did you pick up this job? Where are you three from? What were you supposed to do with us after you caught us?"

"We got the job as we were wandering through Triboar.  Seemed like it would be easy, but you lot put up quite a fight.  We were going to bring you to Cragmaw Castle, give you to some Hobgoblins there."

Baeshra will look to the others, ”We aren’t really in a position to deal with prisoners, so what do we do with them? If we leave them here either they’ll escape and come after us again or the owlbear will get them.”
