"Dogs. Maybe wolves. Four of them," Helgrid whispers to the group. Steeling her resolve by reciting the oath she aspires to, Helgrid sneaks in as quietly as she can, about 10 feet past the cave mouth.
Ooc: is anyone else having trouble accessing character sheets?
OOC: Nice natural 20! No, not having issues accessing character sheets.
The squirrel gulps, and seems to nod. It follows you back to the cave mouth and takes a few cautious steps inside, then it darts back out, racing away. Through the last of your speak with animals spell it tells you that there are many ferocious predators in the cave. Ones that will eat it.

As the brave, fiery haired dwarf nimbly steps through the creek and hugs the wall bordering the narrow path on the right side of the creek, she realizes that all the snarls, barks, chain rattling and gurgling from the creek is covering up any noise that she makes. The ceiling rises quickly from the entrace to the cave, and you look up to see stalagtites reaching down from 20 to 30 feet up.
Just inside the cave mouth, a few uneven stone steps lead up to a small, dank chamber on the east side of the passage. The cave narrows to a steep fissure at the far end, and is filled with the stench of animals. Savage snarls and the sounds of rattling chains greet your ears where six wolves are chained up just inside the opening. Each wolf’s chain leads to an iron rod driven into the base of a stalagmite.
There is still enough daylight coming in from the cavern entrance to make out a few details, and Helgrid's darkvision fills in the blanks.
Do the wolves look like they have enough reach on their chains to bother us if we move past the entrance to their cave?
No, you can see that the chains are not long enough to let the wolves get to anything on the stairs. After watching the wolves for a moment, you get the sense from their ferociousness that they might attack anything that gets close enough to them, though.

Helgrid will relay everything she sees back to the group. "Entrance to the right is a room with six wolves - chained, but don't get too close." As the rest of the party files in behind her, she'll keep advancing through the cave, stopping the minute she sees a threat.
Org moves with the rest of the party. He pauses upon seeing the wolves for a moment, fascinated by the creatures. Something deep within him is touched by the appearance of the beasts, something primal.
Org regains his composure and asks: "Why not throw food to the side and let them fight for that and help us get past?"

Lyngheid told Candy to stay where she was but tied a loose length of rope to a nearby bush with a knot that would give if it was pulled too hard.
She ventured into the cave after the others eyeing the wolves, " Its not a right situation for such creatures. We'd best find some way to release them once we've dealt with the gobs or they'll starve to death...perhaps they'd appreciate a meal of goblin?"
" You know what dwarven goatherds say when humans complain about wolves taking their goats? Breed better goats!"
Baeshra, make a Persuasion for talking the squirrel into going inside a dark, rocky cave that smells like wolves and goblins.

Ireniana nods. "That's a good idea. We may even make some friends out of it."
She takes some rations from her pack and tosses them to the wolves as the group moves by the entrance.
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.

Gialine tries to keep to the shadows, giving the wolves a wide berth.

The wolves hungrily tear into the rations, snarling at each other, but no longer at the party. What does Ireniana do now?
If the rest of the party continues past the wolves, everyone who is trying to be stealthy, give me a stealth check. Both Helgrid and Gialine are 7!
Also, throw in an initiative roll on your next post.
Baeshra will follow along quietly near the front of the group.
