If the creature is restrained by the snake, Baeshra and snake will both continue their assault, if it misses and the giant runs, Baeshra will allow it to run, but have the snake chase it for a bit to make sure it doesn't come back.
(Attack rolls if its restrained) Baeshra: Attack: 23 Damage: 13 Snake:Attack: 21 Damage: 13
Baeshra allows his snake to depart as he resumes his form, “Perhaps this place to which we travel will have wizards to send it away. Might be simpler to melt it down though and reuse it for other things, no sense wasting it, and we’ve seen that the giants hire their own wizards too.”
Baeshra is good to move on, but wouldn’t object to a short rest first.
(I just realized, Umbriel forgot to attune to that big wand before he left. Oh well.)
Umbriel sits and thinks for a moment. "I'm not sure we can melt it down if it's enchanted - there may be wards protecting against that. I don't know if I will uncover the secret to extradimensional spaces with the reservoir of power I've just discovered, but I can certainly try, in time. In the meantime, I think Baeshra is right, our best bet is to keep it safe until we find more powerful allies. Let's rest a moment, then move on. If we stay quiet, we may be able to hear if that one who got away is coming back for more."
(A short rest works for me - if we do, Umbriel will use the rest to attune to the wand - it may prove useful if we encounter anything else - and after the rest he'll cast False Life on himself for a little bit of a buffer.)

Sounds good. You can use the time to attune to the wand, but if you do, you don't get the short rest benefits.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
OK! Lyngheid distributes her pool of healing, and the party starts short resting, while Umbriel tries to attune to the large wand.
After about 15 minutes, a shadow in the sky catches Baeshra's eye. He looks up just in time to see a large rock hurtling towards Whistler: 27
It just barely misses the surprised Kenku. You all look and see about 80 yards to the south, the remaining Stone Giant, hurtling boulders as hard as he can.
Ireniana will make her AOO
Attack: 26 Damage: 14
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
Umbriel and Ireniana's attacks on SG4 are almost enough to bring it down, but it's still up!
Baeshra, Ireniana, going to let it get away?
Lyngheid is content to let SG2 go, how about Nyx, Whistler?
Ireniana shakes her head, letting the giant leave as she's concerned for her friends.

Whistler leaves the giant alone and moves to the ones currently engaging his friends.

AoO's, both constrict attacks.
Baeshra: Attack: 10 Damage: 13
Snake: Attack: 18 Damage: 12

The snake manages to grab the fleenig stone giant, and Baeshra and the snake finish it off. SG2 escapes to the south.
We're out of initiative, what does the party do now?
Lyngheid checked the wagon and animals over, " So....this is going to be an ongoing thing then?"
" Do we know any wizards who can just shove this ring into another plane?"
Ireniana shakes her head before she performs Second Wind to get back 16 HP

Right! The big wand is on the wagon with the adamantine fragment.
An Identify would probably tell you if it can be melted.
Droop is also down for a short rest. Is that the plan?

( If we're short resting then Lyngheid has some healing to dish out)
Baeshra will agree to a short rest, keeping watch from on top of the wagon.
Perception: 11
Hit dice: 14
Healing before or after the short rest?

Understood - no worries!
( Before: Channel Divinity to give 25 hp to whoever needs it)
((Whistler is on 50/70 due to my fault not reading into his damage mitigation ability.))

The party is up!
(So no short rest has been had?)
