!!Lost Mine of Phandelver Campaign Thread!!

Umbriel marvels as well - the performance is magnificent, and he finds himself standing and applauding alongside the Yakfolk. Memories of his lost love back in the Shadowfell come flooding back, overwhelming him, and dark grey tears stream down his face as he keeps clapping, a beaming smile on his face.

Lyngheid simply stares, utterly enraptured by Nyxs performance, tears well in her eyes as she falls into reverie.

Ireniana smiles at the performance as well, giving a slight nod.

When Nyx finishes she stops, puffed for the first time ever and try's to contain her excitement and wonder at her own performance, knowing within herself that it was a masterpiece. She simple takes it all in with a smile and a tear, wishing she could bottle this feeling. As the cheering dies down she simple says "thank you" and then starts to pack away her flute and site down.

Nyx packs her flute away, and the chief's pipe continues making it's way around.

Umbriel and Ireniana, you don't notice anything amiss.  But Baeshra, Droop, Whistler, Lyngheid and Nyx start to feel their eyes get very heavy.  You five, make a Constitution Saving throw, Lyngheid with Advantage().

Baeshra listens to the performance for a bit, then loses interest at the subject matter and focuses on the feast.

Whistler and Droop suddenly fall asleep.  The rest of you feel a wave of tiredness wash over you, but shrug it off, perhaps inspired by Nyx's epic performance.   Chief Kartha-Kaya looks over at them and then looks at the rest of you.

"Are your companions alright?  Maybe this altitude does not agree with them.  How are the rest of you feeling?"

Baeshra leans over and wakes up Whistler and then Droop, "Now is not the time for sleeping, we have giant hunting to do. I feel just fine."

Baeshra shakes them and talks to Whistler and Droop.  But there's no response.

The chief nods at Baeshra.  "Good.  And the rest of you?"

"Well... I think I should be insulted that people feel asleep after my performance, because I think that was my masterpiece. Maybe it took an emotional toll on them as well or maybe it was something in the food?" she eyes the chief.

"So how have you serviced in this village, safe and well just outside a giant's mound?"

Lyngheid narrowed her eyes and scanned the Yakfolk in the room one by one to try and determine their demeanour and intentions, something was wrong here.......

Lyngheid, you don't notice anything off about the Yakfolk, but you can tell that the naked moon-elf slaves are nervous, and anxiously eyeing the gong.

Nyx, Chief Kartha-Kaya seems to be sincere. But his cheerful and welcoming demeanor drops as he answers your question.  "As to how we have survived, well..fair hooved one.  You will soon find out!"

And he reaches over and smashes the gong. It rings out loud and clear, sure to be heard across the whole village.  Chief Kartha-Kaya draws his greatsword, his two wives draw their quarterstaffs and the other Yakfolk drows his greatsword.

The nude female moon-elf lets out a shriek and yells in common "Run! They will enlsave you!"
