Baeshra swoops down and reports on what he'd seen, "Lots of them up on the surface now, might be hard to sneak in and extremely difficult to fight our way in. Maybe go to another location after all? Once we rescue our colleagues."
Baeshra settles down to try and get a short rest in on the way, poking his head up to curiously ask, "How high can you go? Those giants can throw at least 200 feet up, as it turns out."
Yes you'll be able to get a short rest in, the airship is slower than the giant eagle, it's about 2 hours by airship.
"I've taken this ship up quite a bit higher than these peaks, don't worry about that. We can go way up, the only problem would be seeing when we're over the village. Should we come in from the top and let you off a ways from the village so you can sneak in? Or the valley floor? Or just fly right to the village."
As the ship gets closer, Umbriel tries Message from time to time, trying to reach Nyx and Lyngheid. "My range on this isn't great, but it's fairly quiet and should help us find them if they are hiding."

Lyngheid nods to Nyx, looks longingly over at her armour in the corner of the room and slips out towards the water wheel ducking across to the southern buildings to work her way towards the river.

You get no response from Nyx or Lyngheid.
Lyngheid:
When you sneak over to the village wall and look through the gateway you see that the water wheel has been replaced and is back in operation.
You notice 2 giants at the head of the stairs, and they seem to be keeping watch.

Lyngheid attempted to move back towards the waterwheel, very carefully edging along the river.
( When she gets there she will hold her weapon against the wood and use Searing Smite to set the wood ablaze before heading back to the central hut.)

Using your previous stealth roll, you are able to get to the river and cross the bridge (2) in a moment while the giants aren't looking. You sneak over around the back of building 3 to get to the water wheel. To your surprise, the wheel is no longer made out of wood, it's solid metal.

Lyngheid frowned, " Stupid smart giants..."
Still...she began to carefully inspect it for weak points or something she could interfere with....wishing she'd paid more attention in her engineering classes.

Those at the ship: Short rest completed, and Baeshra arrives soon after.
What to do now?
Baeshra swoops down and reports on what he'd seen, "Lots of them up on the surface now, might be hard to sneak in and extremely difficult to fight our way in. Maybe go to another location after all? Once we rescue our colleagues."
Whistler nods.
Whistler - Lost Mines of Phandelver [Lvl 8 Barbarian] | Cinta Yuliani Lestari - My Island Home [Lvl 3 Fighter] | Shalana - Allansia Wildlands [Lvl 4 Monk] | Roger Durant - Storm King's Thunder [Lvl 8 Monster Hunter] | Rotthran - The Waterdeep Heist [Lvl 5 Thief]
Ireniana nods. "That's probably for the best."
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
"Yes, once they move away, we could sabotage it again or maybe, explore further into these caverns, scout them a little."
Yevna Galanodel - Wood Elf | Level 8 | Druid/Circle of Spores 6 - Ranger 2 - Ravnica
Nyx - Satyr | Level 9 | Rouge/Swashbuckler 5 - Bard/Collage of Lore 4 - Lost Mine of Phandelver/Storm King's Thunder
Deselphine asks: "OK, back to the Yakfolk village then? From the top or below?"
Baeshra settles down to try and get a short rest in on the way, poking his head up to curiously ask, "How high can you go? Those giants can throw at least 200 feet up, as it turns out."

" I opt for sabotage once they've headed back in."
" I'll keep an ear out for when they go."

It is suspiciously quiet, and you don't hear the usual sounds of construction and repair.
Baeshra shrugs, "Get us closer and maybe I can try and find out. Does anyone have any way of contacting them?"
Deselphine nods and gives the orders to lift off. She stops it in midair after a while: "Alright, we're about 30 minutes away. Want me to go closer?"
Also, someone roll a d20 for weather.

A light snow starts to blow, limiting visibility, but the temperature remains cold, not frigid, and the winds are navigable.
