Sanjay DEX saving throw: 14 

Alminar makes a DEX save: 23 

Two of you, closest to the edge where the tentacles are flailing, narrowly avoid them, while Alminar smoothly dodges out of the way.

The giant shark bites again at the giant octopus, but you can see that it's running out of steam.  Clearly, it's been above water too long.  The ship is gliding away from them, but as you watch, the shark stops fighting and falls limp, and the giant octopus angrily slams it down, causing a large dollop of water to splash over you all and the ship, and pushes you forward in its wake.  Fish have landed on the boat, and a few other random sea creatures here and there.

Senine's eye twitches at once more being bathed in seawater, her knuckles white where she grips the mast.

Alminar, relieved that the giant octopus had the shark to snack on, watches awestruck at the display. He also is fairly impressed with how smoothly he dodged those tentacles. looking around casually to see if anyone else saw how smoothly he evaded, he sees Senine's face, eyes twitching, and dripping with seawater. It brings him right back down to earth.

"Is everyone okay?!" Sanjay asks, legitimately concerned. 

Senine takes a deep breath, holds it, and exhales noisily, letting the fire of her Orc blood cool a bit as Sanjay's voice registers. Releasing the mast, she takes a look around, getting a sense of the state of things on the deck as well as the state of her companions(Perception: 15 ), throwing a thumbs up in Sanjay's direction in response.

Senine can see that everything and everyone looks orderly.  There is no lasting damage.  The Captain calls out to the crew, and everyone responds positively.  Joe comes over to Sanjay and claps a hand on his shoulder.  "All well friend, how about you?" he asks.

"Yup, all good here," Salem calls back, looking around at everyone.

Everyone hears another large splash and turns back toward the large creatures.  The squid has slammed the shark once more, casting one last mist over you all, before dropping the shark and diving.  Large ripples laced with a bit of blood creep out from the area it disappeared.  The sky and sea both are quite dark, and everything falls silent once more except for the scuttling and slapping sounds of the small creatures now on the deck.

"Phew!  Glad that was quick, eh?" says Joe as he runs over to the Captain, presumably receiving instructions.   He runs back to you all while the other crew members go off to take care of the mess.  "Gotta' clean up a bit, maybe help with the food.  All's good though; Captain says you can rest now if you like.  Don't anticipate any more dangers along our way,"  and he runs off.

Salem walks over to look off the edge of the boat and takes a moment before deciding to head off to rest, "Yeah.. sleep is probably best, in case we have any more attacks it would be good to be well rested." 

"Yeah, I'll bet." Senine mutters under her breath, then sighs and turns to head toward the cabin they were provided, taking a swig from her flask as she goes.

"Well, I suppose that could have been worse," Thistle says, also turning to return  to her cabin.

Sighing again, Senine nods at Thistles words. "You're not wrong, I'm just not looking forward to cleaning and oiling all my gear. Again. Sea water aint particularly kind to metal." She gives herself a shake as she says it, droplets of water sprinkling the deck around her as it falls from her chainmail. "Probably not gonna do my hair any favors either." She finishes, laughing a bit as her earlier frustration finally leaves her fully.

Salem laughs a bit and the heads off to the cabin.

As everyone settles in for the night, Joe passes through the lower deck carrying incense. The smell is a combination of Eucalyptus and Frankincense, and you hear him humming.

Senine is mostly finished with her equipment maintenance when she hears Joe pass by. She wrinkles her nose, not appreciating the smell of the incense that wafts in from under the door. She finds herself feeling a bit paranoid, a combination of not fully believing they were out of dangerous waters, and not overly trusting of the mercenary crew. She finishes her work, and after some consideration puts her armor on, dragging her gear and bedding over to the door to sleep. Settling herself where her body can block the door from being opened and everything is within easy reach in case of an emergency.

Thankful that everyone is ok, Alminar gives a grin to the other members of the party and the crew. He heads down to the lower deck to get some rest with the others. As Joe passes through with incense, Alminar suddenly feels much more relaxed.

Sanjay, after having rested for the rest of the afternoon, welcomes the smell of incense. It reminds him of some of the more pleasantly fragrant fora back home. It brings him pleasantly out of his meditation and he pokes his head out, "Need any help with anything?"

"Oh!"  Joe turns back to Sanjay.  "No, nothin' at all, just doing my nightly routine.  I hope you all sleep well now; hope I haven't caused any disturbance."
