"Hey Amelia, Mongo,  follow me!" Rosamia says before jumping in the pit, superhero style. She begins punching at the Vrock with her Astral Arms.

Mongo calls out "Tra la laaaaaa!" as he jumps into the fray, and wails on the vrock:

The combined superhero assault of Kit, Mango, and Rosamia fell the injured Vrock. Trying not to slip on the blood of the dead commoners, you take a moment to compose yourself. The gold elf walks cautiously up to you all. "Friend? Or foe?" she asks warily, holding up her sword and shield. She is injured, beaten up, and tired.

Issem claps slowly. "Good show! Good show, indeed! Make sure you take care of the golden one, she is VERY tired." he says sarcastically, not caring, and laughing. "Take her and be gone. Make sure you kill plenty of Thayans!" His laughter echoes in the pit.

John Lee shoots the Pale Man a hard look, scoffing. "We'll definitely do that, suh. Then perhaps we'll meander back here and free ya of yar misery." Without waiting for an answer, he moves to join the others, muttering, "******* bloodsuckers...worse than Thayans."

"Friend, I hope," Kit says softly to the elf. "Care to get out of here?"

"I do." the gold elf admits. "I have been fighting for hours. I am Shalendra. Who are you people?"

"Come." Taeli says, taking her by the shoulder. "All will be answered and more. Let me take a look at your wounds, mm?"

You all are free to interact with Shalendra and move on to AREA 4 if you wish.

Shalendra joins the party.

Kit lets Taeli take a look at Shalendra's wounds, then once she does whatever she wants about that, leads the group to Area 4, rubbing the slight red mark where Issem bit her.

"I'm Rosamia Polnareff, of the Order of the Black Sun. We're here to stop the Thayans who imprisoned you."

“Amelia Hiriart,” The fight states with a hand to her chest. “Pleasure you meet you, Shalendra... Considering the circumstances.”

"Hh! You're here to stop the Thayans!" Shalendra exclaims, weary. "A bold task. They are not to be trifled with. Only with luck, and perhaps whim, I am still alive and was forced to fight the demons they've imprisoned here. If it was not for Issem's dislike for them, surely I would be dead. For my freedom, you have my sword." 

"We are indeed here to hamper their operation, among other things, yes. I am Taeli. We are pleased to have you among us." Taeli says, following the group into area four.

ABYSSAL PRISONS AREA FOUR - THE TEMPLE OF CHAOS

The wood-paneled walls of this long hall are scorched. Cracks in the panels reveal bare stone. Three mystic circles have been inscribed in the floor, each edged with rough runes. Anyone with a passive perception of 20 or higher noticing something. Taeli has a PP of 25.

"Commander, look." Taeli places her hand on your shoulder, then points up. A steel orb is hidden in a recess in the ceiling 20 feet up.

Rosamia, you discover that hidden among the gibberish runes are warding glyphs that discharge lightning, probably conducted by the steel orb up above.

"Everyone stop. Hidden among all of those gibberish runes are trapped glyphs. They'll set off some kind of lightning discharge. I think that the steel orb has something to do with it."

Rosamia had to physically halt Mongo from proceeding into the room, as he was unobservant and dumb as a door nail.  "Oh, right....sparkly things come from the floor and ceiling.  Gotcha."

Turning to Shalendra, he introduces himself "And I'm Mongo!  I'm the brains around here, if you couldn't tell.  And you're pretty, for a flesh bearing humanoid!" he spills out, without a care in the world.

John Lee halts at Rosamia's command, eyeing it. "Perhaps it can be destroyed?"

Kit sighs. "Feel free to ignore Mongo at any time," she tells the gold elf before turning to the group as a whole. "Not a bad idea, John Lee. Anyone know what that might take? Magic, or could I just shoot it?"

"I don't know. I'm not the one who goes about casting spells and disabling traps. I just beat the shit out of people."
