Captain, should we take care of whatever's in the pool too?

"Yep," Kit says grimly, nocking an arrow.

Mongo will pick up one of the ooze prods, and start poking the writhing oozes. 

Rosamia will start prodding the oozes with her Astral Arms, which for the sake of clarity, are not physically attached to her.

Nothing happens.

Mongo: "Nothing happened.  Just the way I like it.  C'mon, let's get outta here."

(Mongo leads the group out of that room, into the next area)

AREA 64 - THE WHITE MAW

The cavern walls here are dry white stone, as is the clean floor. Toward the center, a massive, cracked black pillar rises to the dark ceiling. Otherwise, it is completely unlit in here. As you step into this room, you can sense that you're not alone. Something terrible is here, as well, your gut instincts on alert.

Mongo's steel gut is telling him DANGER...DANGER...DANGER...so he'll quickly back out of the room and pause just outside the entrance.  He'll grab one of the bodies of the deceased Thayans from the previous room, and throw it into room 64.  Bait.  Fishing bait.  And then he'll wait just outside room 64 to see what happens.

"Oh yeah, hell no," Kit mutters, backing out.

Rosamia will spend a Ki point to use Visage of the Astral Self to gain darkvision and see what's in there.

There is nothing else in this room that you can visibly see with your darkvision, however. Other than how empty the room appears, the room sets you on edge for reasons you can't explain.

"I don't see anything in this room, except for that pillar, which makes me think that whatever is off in here is coming from that. Now either we can deal with the pillar now, or we can tuck our tails in and go running off like pussies. What's the call?"

"Pfft, we ain't a buncha pussies, are we?" Amelia scoffs at the thought. "But ultimately it's Kit's call."

Kit fights down the urge to say leave just so everyone is a ***** narrows her eyes. "Caution isn't cowardice, but I don't like the idea of leaving something unknown intact and behind us. Let's give it a whirl." She nocks an arrow. "Order of the Black Sun, let's kick...a pillar's ass. And let's toss a light in there first, so those of us who can't see in the dark aren't at a disadvantage."

Rosamia will light a torch and have her Astral Arms toss it right at the pillar since Kit, Amelia, John Lee, and Taeli don't have a magical punch ghost that lets them see in the dark.

Nothing happens except now the cave is illuminated.

After a moment, a hole forms under the torch, "swallows" it, and it's dark again just like it was a moment ago.

Rosamia will pull out another one of the monk darts that she had but never expected to use. She throws it down where she threw the torch. If the hole comes for the dart like it did the torch, John Lee will toss a Fire Bolt to see how deep the hole goes.

Something strange happens.

The dart sticks in to the floor, and then the “floor” starts moving as if the white part of the floor was just a massive layer or covering. It begins slowly coalescing into the center. Its not the floor at all, it’s the largest white ooze you’ve ever seen in your life.
