Gigantic steel bolts have been driven into the stone floor of this immense area, attached to heavy chains. These trail down into the water of a vast pool situated between curving northern and southern staircases that lead up to double doors. Two enormous globes of blue liquid are suspended in the air to the east. A dragon turtle is attached to the chains, and is currently under the water.
The dragon turtle explains to you that it's a new prisoner here, and that letting it free will guarantee it will not attack you. All it wants is to escape and return home.
"Good news. We let it out, it'll behave and head out." Kit pulls out her lockpicks and gets to work on the chains, adding in Common, "But keep on alert, in case it changes its mind once it's free."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"You got it, boss lady!" Amelia grins as she takes out her sword and shield and keeps her eyes peeled, both on the turtle, and anywhere else an enemy may be.

You are easily able to unlock it's restraints and it thanks you, small enough to head and disappear through a nearby Thayan portal. Know that today, you did a good deed for a creature that will most likely remember what you did for it.
Kit nods to herself. "Right, good deed done. Let's keep moving, Order." She glances at Mongo. "Because I needed you to move your ass and learn how to fight in a squad, not leave through the nearest portal."
"So how are we going to punish our wayward brother?" Tun drummed his fingers on the table. Kit dug her nails into the table, ignoring the irritated look she received from her brother as she scarred the lovely mahogany with crescent-shaped divots. "I have an idea."
Duke Belt began going through the reports on his desk. Most of them were the usual drivel of a Baldurian Duke, one group or another wanting more funding, more attention, whatever. He frowned as one stuck out, not through any elaborate seals or ribbons, but because of a lack of those. It was a simple piece of white paper, folded twice. Slowly, Belt unfolded it.
There is a traitor in your ranks. Not all your men hate your enemies as vehemently as they would have you believe.
-A Friend
"Hmph," Belt scoffed softly to himself. If someone thought he would break at a vague note, they were wrong. That was when the door crashed open, and a guard rushed in. "Sir! We've discovered your plate armor missing from the treasury!" "What?" Belt asks, slowly and precisely. "How?" "We...we don't know, sir. There's no sign of how it was broken into...it's like someone just walked in and took it." Belt slowly crumpled the note in his hand. Damn changelings. "I should have killed that face-stealing ***** the moment I suspected her on the train," he growled. Of course it was her. That plate was what he'd worn on the train to Waterdeep, when the two of them first came face to face. But she wasn't acting alone. "Search the grounds. Look for anyone acting suspicous. And BRING WYLAN TO ME, NOW!" he roared, slamming his fist down on the table.
Wic flipped a dagger through the air on his bed as he thought. Seeing his sister again had stirred up...not exactly regrets, but thoughts. He was past regretting what he'd done, but before this, Kit hadn't known it was him. "Abominations," he muttered. "We were abominations, and criminals to boot. It had to happen." He doubted that would sway her, but he didn't care. He was the one who needed to be reminded. He had given up any shapechanging, lived as the human Wylan now, but still. It had been a hard thing that he'd done, but necessary. Necessary. His thoughts were interrupted as the barracks door opened. Wic sat up, tucking his dagger into its sheath. "What is it now, some-" His question was interrupted as they yanked him to his feet. "The Duke wants to see you."

"Should we get moving, Captain?" Rosamia said as if Crispy was going to let them go to the dragon turtle room and not fight the dragon turtle.
