Rhok heads towards the other hidden door to see if he has any luck in opening it "I'm going to get to work on this hidden door if no one has any objections?"
Xarrothquickly clears his throat, "From what I recall, Abbathor is not a... pleasant god, in any shape or form. When angered, which was often the case, I am sure you can all easily imagine who suffered, and what was required to please such a deity."
Rhok pauses his work at the door, looks over his shoulder "so if the gems aren't enough it's thier lives then? Some of these gods and what they demand can make one wonder how people can follow them"
The coffer contains 11 dark red gemstones. A quick appraisal would put them at 10 gp each. Norbus takes them out and finds a crude stone dagger under them, with the same runes etched on its blade "a sacrificial weapon, I would not touch it here".
Rhok looks over to count the skulls that tumbled out, hearing sacrifices, he wants to see if there are in fact 11 skulls to perhaps match the gemstones

Looking around you count 9 skulls on the floor, and remember that there were 2 still inside the cavity.

"As you companion says, Abbathor was... not the nicest of gods. He started out as a master craftsman and had an eye for gemstones and treasure. Then got jealous of anyone who had gems more precious than his" Dazlyn is choosin her words carefully, as if scared of offending the god inside his temple.
I'm not sure what door are you looking at, so pick one of these two options:
If you are looking at the door behind the altar (found by Lothlién): there is no locking mechanism on this side, running the tip of a small knife around the edges you can feel a latch, but it doesn't move from this side. Otherwise, if you are looking at the door on the northern wall (found by Lia): it is unlocked, you just need to push it to open.
Rhok continues to work on the door behind the altar
"If my math is right, there's a total of 11 skulls in the closet. Dazlyn, were the sacrifices volunteers, or did they kidnap people for the ceremony? Perhaps those gems should stay here so we don't have a jealous God after us."

"It's hard to tell, Abbathor priests usually set their temples in secret locations and are very jealous of their rites" Dazlyn replies "taking these gems should be safe, but I'd recommend leaving the dagger back in its place"
"Want some help there?" Lia asks, moving over to where he is working on the wall near the alter. She will give him the help action.
Even under your combined efforts, the lock proves impossible to pick. You sense the door moving a bit, maybe you can push it with enough force to bust the lock (strength check if you try).
Lia calls the dwarfs over. "We can probably force this door, but do you want to have a look and see if you can open it without resorting to that?" She asks them. "I wouldn't want to break something you need intact..."

Norbus scratches his beard "I don't know how to open it any more than you do, and those slime monsters already erased everything of value in this wall. Forcing it may be the only way."
Lia pulls a crowbar from her pack. She glances around and looks to the stronger members of the group (She has an 8 strength...) "Anyone want to give this a try?" She asks, holding out the crowbar.
Xarrothsteps forward displays his dragonborn height, his width isn't as impressive, "I can assist with manual labour, if need be."
"But that dagger..." The dragonborn looks for the dagger, a low growl, "winged justice as seen the tools of heresy through the eyes of his servant..." Xarroth checks if he knows anything about the dagger to see if it can be destroyed in Bahamut's name.
Arcane/Religion check: 6 ((If it's History, just -2 from the result))

In Xarroth's mind, destroying the dagger would please Bahamut. It clearly is an instrument of evil and even the dwarves refused to touch it. And you just got a crowbar in your hands, it's not a hammer, but a solid blow would surely smash a ceremonial dagger.
OOC: roll a strength check with advantage if you want to force the door.
Strength isn't his best attribute, so Lothlién offers his help where anyone else tries anything, not taking initiative by himself in opening heavy stone doors

The door on the north wall moves without resistance. You open the door into a corridor that goes forward for 10 feet, then turns right.
Xarroth tenses his mouth, as he turns his attention away from the dagger for now and uses the tool provided to try and open the door...
You lodge the crowbar in the edge where Rhok found a latch. You push, breaking the lock and making the door swing towards you. The inside is dark, you see the door opens to a corridor that goes straight into the mountain. An ochre jelly is blocking the passage, it raises its pseudopods at you, disturbed by the light.
Xarroth is right in front of the ooze, between the altar and the newly opened corridor on the east wall. Across the altar from Xarroth stands Lia. Next to the altar is Lothlién, five feet away from the door. Rhok is on the northern part of the room, next the door he just opened. He's about 40 feet away from the ooze.
Dazlyn and Norbus are in the middle of the room, beween the columns, surprised to see a monster waiting behind the door.
Dazlyn initiative: 9 Norbus initiative: 7

OOC: did you roll that with advantage due to Lia's help?
OOC sadly, yes...my strength is horrible, Im more dex. I assume I did the dice roller correctly, I selected advantage, yes
