Xarrothtakes advantage of the bamboozled orcs and inhales deeply, a silent prayer to Bahamut to guide the wayward souls. With a mighty exhale, flames bursts from the dragonborn mouth towards the remaining orcs!
Breath Weapon: As an action once per short rest, exhale in a 15 ft. cone (DEX DC 12, half damage on success) for 9 Fire Damage.
On the second floor fire engulfs both orcs, killing them instantly. The dragonborn stands among the ashes unscathed.
Back on the first floor Rhok fires his had crossbow twice, finishing the last orc who drops with a loud thud. Splinters and blood cover the ground, you don't hear any noise in the courtyard nor coming from inside the manse.
In the calm after the fight, Lia notices that one of the orc's javelins struck a large vine coming out of the well at the courtyard's center. The plant is oozing red blood out of the puncture instead of sap.
OOC: the combat is finished, we are out of initiative order. Roll for perception if you are trying to find the last twig blight.
Lothlién will try to find the Twig Blight who got away - you never know when those things will stab you in the back or find some company to come around and attack us again.
Lia will send her flaming sphere into the tree, feeling anything that bleeds blood and is a plant is likely not good.
The vine catches fire and bleeds even more, but there is no movement to be seen. Other than the weird sap it seems to be just a bunch of thick vines coming out of the well. OOC: please roll a nature check.
Lothlién will try to find the Twig Blight who got away - you never know when those things will stab you in the back or find some company to come around and attack us again.
It's almost impossible to tell the twig apart from the broken branches and debris in the courtyard. You could try setting the place on fire, but it would most likely spread to the manse too.
OOC: manse description to refresh everyone's memories after the fight.
Surrounded by pumpkin patches were wild boars graze, the manse is a two story building shaped like a square with a flagstoned inner courtyard. The front entrance is on the north west corner, and a second entrance on the north east leads to the kitchen.
At first you entered from the second floor balcony, on the north side you found a hallway with stairs going down and a bathroom. The east side was just a narrow corridor leading to a room full of orcs you didn't enter (Xarroth is standing there now). The west corridor lead to the master bedroom, where you found two secret doors, one leading to a stash of magical things and another leading to the library. The library spans both floors and has normal doors on the first floor.
On the first floor, Rhok entered through the kitchen. From there he explored the pantry, entrance hall and parlor on the north side. He fell through a trap in the stairs leading to the second floor and the rest of the group caught up with him. All of you entered the inner courtyard and fought a half-orc, a lot of orcs, twig blights and vine blights. The half orc was on the south west room, the orcs came out from the south east room.
Lia remembers from her studies that the bleeding vine is most likely part of a Gulthias Tree. The tree is not conscious nor evil, but the vine and twig blights that you fought spawn from it. Other than completely uprooting the tree, it will most likely continue to grow here. The half orc seemed to be able to command the living plants.
"Wasted effort." Lia says as she recognizes the plant. She lets her fire sphere go. Turning to the others. "Shall we finish looking this place over, or have we seen enough?"

"Yeah, lets take a look around and see if we can find anything fun, if the half orc was a magic user, perhaps he had some things we might find useful against that White dragon" Rhok replies
Rhok enters the room on the south west corner. What used to be the wizard's laboratory is in ruins, most furniture is piled up broken against the walls. A holy symbol of Talos, evil god of storms, is painted in mud on the floor. Three lightning bolts joined at their tips. There are two doors on the northern wall of the room, leading into the manse.
Bundles of twig and tied boar tusks are sprawled in the floor around Talo's symbol.
The half orc has a satchel contaning a leather map. It shows Neverwinter Wood and has marks for the location of Falcon's Hunting Lodge an another location called Circle of Thunder.
