"We should be able to find the one item, in those bushes to the south." Lia said, "maybe on our way back to town." She looks to Rock. "The other item won't be found until nightfall, so you actually won't be at all helpful there." She turns to the others. "We'll have to have one person stay back with Rock, and I suggest it be me, as I have a chance of keeping him from hurting himself, or anyone else, if I can use my hypnotic gaze on him."
OOC: Adabra is currently residing in Phandalin. You helped her move there from the windmill after fending off the white dragon.
After a short walk from Adabra's home you arrive at the Townmaster's hall. Harbin opens a small slit in the door and recognizing your group opens it to let you in "it's a relief to see you alive, Falcon's butler arrived yesterday saying that their lodge was almost overrun by orcs. What news do you have?" After hearing how you were able to kill the thunder boar and force the remaining orcs to retreat, he signs for a page to come "go find Corvin and tell him that Falcon is still alive" turning back to you he adds "he almost killed his horse riding here and we don't have enough people to fight off a band of orcs. He needs to hear the good news soon."
Harbin is so relieved by the news you bring that he does not notice any sign of concern from your part. It's up to you to tell him or not about last night.
Adabra tasked you to find two ingredients: - Wolfsbane roots. Easily identifiable by their purple flowers in the bushes south of town. - Night Phlox flowers. Small and white, only bloom in moonlight. Crushing them produces an apple scent. You may find them near the forest up north after nightfall.
Once done speaking with Falcon's butler, Lia would suggest the others get any supplies they need, then that they head South to find those first items they need. She would hope to do the Northern item that night, though she would likely be watching Rock that night, so the others would have to find that one while she keeps him from harming anyone.
Corwin thanks you for helping his master "I was fearing the worst, thank Ilmater that you arrived on time." He thanks you again seeing that you have a leter from Falcon asking for workers "I can take care of that. I'll go to the miner's exchange and the inn and convince as much people as I can to start there tommorow."
Stopping at the Lionshield Coster only takes a few minutes. Lienne has plenty of bolts to sell and is pleased to do bussiness with you "you are gaining quite a reputation around here, I heard Adabra telling that you managed to scare a dragon away."
You start walking southward, looking for the purple wolfsbane flowers. As Adabra said, they are plentiful in the area and you dig out plenty of roots easily. Still, the trek takes some time and the sun is close to setting by the time you arrive back in town.
Lia shrugs. "I would think I would be the better choice to watch over him, as I may be able to hold him with the same power I used on that dragon before." She won't push it though, if someone else really wants to watch over Rock then she'll go help find the other item.
Lia stays watching over Rhok. Where do you plan to stay? What precautions to you take before nightfall?
Lothlién and Xarroth start walking north towards Neverwinter Forest looking for Night Phlox flowers. Please each of you make a Nature, a Perception and a Survival check.
Lia would also suggest tying up Rhok. Her magic is the last resort, if we can keep him tied up, then that should be good to start. I'd think we would camp out somewhere, we wouldn't want to stay in town.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Xarrothagrees with Lia, seeing her impressive magic on the dragon previous.
Just as they are finishing tying Rhokup, Xarroth would light a stick on incense, "My companion, sincerest apologies. We will rid this condition of you soon. Just know you are not in the struggle alone, the Platinum One's wings shield you." Waving the incense over Rhok, its string of smoke making various shapes as he chants a short prayer of protection in Draconic to Bahamut.
With a friendly not, he goes to help Lothliénwith the hunting of herbs:
In the short time before nightfall you don't find any caves, and settle on camping under a wide willow tree that would at least keep you out of sight. After eating some of your travel rations, Rhok lets the others tie him up under the tree. Lia keeps an eye on him and prepares for another restless night.
Xarroth and Lothlién depart northwise, looking for the small white flowers. The night is quiet, no clouds obscure the sky and you don't see any signs of the dragon nearby. Both decide to wait in a meadow near the forest for the moon to rise, hoping that the flower will still bloom. The moon rises from behind the mountains, illuminating the field. Xarroth walks carefully, examining every weed and plant before moving on. Lothlién takes a faster approach, covering ground faster and coming back to Xarroth to report that the flower is not on his side. As he is speaking the dragonborn stops him and crouches, smelling apples under the half-elf's boot. You find small withe petals crushed under Lothlién.
Back at the camp, Rhok tries to sleep as best as he can with the ropes tying him up. He almost dozes off when the moon rises. The ranger screams, making Lia stand up and look closely at him. Rhok is sweating in the cool air, his muscles tense under the ropes, his face contorts and he falls face first in the grass.
OOC: Rhok, please roll a Wisdom saving throw and a strength check. Xarroth and Lothlién, please roll a Nature and a Perception check, this time with advantage, as you know what you are looking for.

"Agreed" Lothlién nods to Lia
"Thank you all for helping, please stay safe" Rhok nods in agreement

"I think Lia has the best resources for that task, too." Lothlién suggests. "Let's keep on moving while discussing, though, the Sun is already too low"

Lothlién would suggest to tie up Rhok, as long as Lia and him agreed with it. "It's for your own safety" he would tell them both.
Nature check: 7
Perception check: 8
Survival check: 7

It could be useful to camp in a cave or something like that, where Lia could easily guard a single way in/out
Xarroth agrees with Lia, seeing her impressive magic on the dragon previous.

"No worries, the sooner I get this curse off of me, the better. Good hunting to you all.." Rhok adds
