The ghoul's mind can't take the psychic damage and falls to the floor unmoving. The room goes silent as the combat ends, allowing you to catch your breath as you look around.
You arrived into this hall trough a corridor on the north east corner. The hall is 15 by 35 feet, its paved floor is covered in humanoid bone splinters, by their size you assume that they belonged to the original dwarf dwellers.
A broken door on the north wall lets you see into the old armory, stone racks designed to hold axes and shields line the walls and wooden mannequins are sprawled over the floor.
Other than those ways, you see closed doors on the north, west and south walls; and an oversized pair of double doors on the east wall.
"I say we check the armory, then the two smaller doors." Lia suggests, stepping towards the broken armory door. "Let's hold off on the more-important-looking door until last." She would step up and look into the armory, trying to see if anything interesting is in there.
Ignoring the stench of rotting ghouls, you move into the armory. The 10 by 20 feet room is devoid of weapons, only the empty racks and mannequins that held armor remain.
Opening the door next to it on the north wall, you find a 50 by 30 feet room. Dozens of cots cover the floor, neatly arranged around two cold fireplaces. It would seem that this were the main barracks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Xarrothlets Lia continue her investigation; she seems quite apt. He follows Rhokand keeps senses on the groups trails; ears and magically-enhanced eyes open for more foul creatures...
Examining the barracks you find a few personal effects among the cots. There is a shaving kit, a pair of copper rings and a set of bone dice. From the orderly look, it seems that the dwarves had time to abandon the barracks carefully. The chimneys are blocked, and only soot and ash remain in the fireplaces.
The armory is empty of weapons, and the door seems to have been broken from the outside. Its contents were either looted or carefully moved somewhere else. There are no weapons among the bones in the halls where the ghouls attacked you.
Xarroth doesn't hear any noise other than his companions footsteps.
Three closed doors remain, one to the west, one to the south and the set of double doors to the east.
