You approach behind the wall of a ruined building, and only Arael is able to get a good view of what is happening. On an altar before the sahuagin leader is a human, perhaps a survivor of Palma Flora. It's not clear how she is able to breathe under water, but perhaps magic is involved - in any case, she is alive and though she is gagged, you are able to hear muffled protests as the leader approaches her. Beside her on the alter is the head of a freshly-slain shark, its body floating some way to the side, and you know that within seconds, a new sharkbody abomination will have been created.
So far, only Arael has seen this. What will you do?
(OOC: You are whispering or speaking in low voices. I would say that the magic of the bubble helmets allows you to communicate with each other, provided you are not too far from each other.)
Silent swears under his breath and whispers Stealth's never been my strong suit. How many of the bastards can you see, d'you think we can rush in and take 'em all out?
(OOC - Steve is the art for that villager's token Miyamoto Musashi from Vagabond? Looks real familiar to me :D)
(OOC: Noted.). Pockets nods in agreement with Arael. He examines the altar to gauge the distance from him to the leader in order to determine if he can hit them from where he is.
Keyo nods to Arael. "I doubt I have ever been further out of my element. I will follow your lead. However, I do suggest caution. These creatures have been living and fighting in this environment all their lives, and I am not a particularly strong swimmer."
Silent grimaces. I don't like our odds in a head-on fight but we're running out of time - unless anyone has any brighter ideas let's move. Magic is going to be a hell of a lot more useful than this spear, though...
Everyone please roll initiative. If you think you would have moved before combat began in order to get into a good position, let me know. But it should be to a hidden location, as moving into plain sight would also have triggered initiative most likely.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Silent's Initiative - 8
(OOC - As long as it's possible to hide, Silent would have moved directly north towards the pile of rubble or bones. I'm assuming that there is an opening here which he could walk through to get closer to the enemy - if that's not the case he wouldn't make this move.)
Perception: 15

Arael whispers to the group,
There's somebody alive still. I think they're using the artifact to make more of those shark-head abominations. We need to move quickly, but quietly.
And Elf, she looks to Keyo, don't let your good intentions overwhelm your good sense and get us all killed.
(OOC: How are we communicating?)

I think we'll have to move to hit them. There's at least two shark heads already there. Stealth isn't my strong suit either.
(OOC: Do I see all the Sahuagin? or just the ones immediately around the altar?)
At this range I can hit the Sahuagin leader. Maybe.
(OOC: You can all see the sahuagin and other NPCs that are marked on the map. Whether there are other, secret observers... who can say?)
(OOC: Oh, DM! lol!)
I don't think we can pick them off one at a time. I think we're stuck going in...what's that phrase..."guns blazing?"
Keyo nods to Arael. "I doubt I have ever been further out of my element. I will follow your lead. However, I do suggest caution. These creatures have been living and fighting in this environment all their lives, and I am not a particularly strong swimmer."
Okay, so we charge in and target the leader first?

Pockets shoots the leader before she can complete the ritual.
