Extreme? Perhaps. I'm a pragmatist at heart. For example, I have no problem firing bolts of arcane force into the back of a fleeing target. Silent can attest to that. Magnum looks at the half elf as he says this. I don't have a mouth, but just assume that I'm smiling.
Silent will leave that decision up to Magnum and the dragonborn. Looking at the dragonborn he'll say, Didn't catch your name, friend. I'm Silent, this is Magnum.
The dragonborn offers to secure the half-elf with rope, and Magnum and he work together to make 'Art' nice and secure.
You travel together along the Rillway Road, headed north towards Hupperdook. For the rest of the day, there are few travellers on the road, and though your prisoner seems inclned to seek their aid, few look well armed enough to face you all, and he manages to hold his tongue.
I was on the run from a bunch o' Port Damali city guards who were well convinced that I'd stolen this here greatsword. Silent gestures to the hilt poking over his shoulder. Ran into Magnum in woods outside of town, managed to shake 'em off.
The sun is low on the horizon and you are beginning to think of places where you might stop when you see, ahead of you on the road, a human and a halfling leading a single horse. The dragonborn seems to recognise them.
Magnum is a construct, six feet in height. He's wearing a blue woolen long coat and tan trousers with sturdy black boots. Apart from his hands and head, you would not necessarily know he wasn't human. He has two lamp like eyes and no other obvious facial features. He jangles when he walks and he is wearing to large, heavily reinforced gauntlets.
As the group is walking, Magnum keeps to the back with his attention on the half-elf tied up with rope.
Silent is a bulky, heavyset half-orc reaching about six and a half feet in height with a slight stoop. He's swathed in a heavy threadbare brown cloak and hood, under which links of chainmail and piecemeal armor are visible. His face is pigmented a very dark green and heavily scarred; pupil-less white eyes and a mane of white hair are also visible beneath the hood. He is armed to the teeth - you can see a rather large greatsword strapped to his back along with two handaxes and a bundle of javelins on his belt.
Silent will stick close to Magnum at the rear, slightly wary about the situation since he and Magnum are outnumbered if things take a bad turn. He says nothing.
Wash sees his horse, gets excited and calls out "There you are Harry! I told the innkeeper not to beat himself up over letting this second rate thief [he points at Art] steal you, as I was sure we would be reunited." He turns slightly and continues "Balassar, you seem to have made some new friends. Greetings, I am Dr Sal Washburne, but my friends call me Wash! Balassar, you also seem to be heading in the wrong direction, shouldn't we be heading that way?"
Whilst doing this, Wash tries to mentally ask Trogdor to check whether Balassar is actually OK and whether the construct and half-orc are actually friends - or at least not foes. He is also (as subtly as possible) checking each side of the road and the nearby fields for any ambush, all whilst smiling and trying to convey friendliness.
Wash is a human in his mid 20s with a fairly optimistic look on his face and a warm, gentle smile. He has a staff across his back, though it does not look like it has ever been used as a weapon. He does not seem to have any other weapons visible either. Despite this, Wash does not carry himself like a naive traveler and you would likely notice that he has studded leather armour underneath his travelling clothes and the stance of someone who is used to battle.
Magnum offers his hand to Wash. Nice to meet you. Would you like some of this candy I bought from a nice lady down the road? I don't need to eat, so I was just being nice to her.
He pulls out one of the gift bags of candy, opens it and offers it around. I am indeed a mechanical man offering you candy.
Balassar nods looking at Wash "Yeah, these guys didn't want to hand Art over without confirming what I told them." he just looked his new companions "His horse was the one that Art stole."
He just watches as the mechanical man hands out candy and announces what he was doing. This was an interesting contraption and Balasssar was definitely intrigued about what his story was.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

Sundown seems to be upon you, and the trees nearby are casting long shadows. With little benefit to travelling further tonight you continue your conversation as you set up camp a little way back from the road near a small wood.
Except for Magnum, you all hear the sound of horses approaching rapidly along the road as you are making camp.
Wash, Trogdor has seemed hesitant about the newcomers, but only because he doesn't know them, not because he suspects anything in particular. You get a clear image of a small pseudodragon holding a small hammer in each claw, and tapping various places across Magnum's body to create a lively tune.
Magnum will send Auspex, his barn owl familiar out to look at the riders. Magnum had him watching us from a distance. (OOC: I forgot to mention him in my description.)

Isn't that a little... uh... extreme, Magnum? If he worst he's done is steal a horse I don't think he's earned that.
Silent casts a sharp look at the half-elf.
Unless there's a reason for my friend to be right. You plan on runnin' away or shankin' us, Art? Or are you smarter than that?
Much smarter, the half-elf known as Art mutters loud enough for you to hear.

The half-elf doesn't respond. You can tie him up as originally suggested if you wish - will you?
Silent will leave that decision up to Magnum and the dragonborn. Looking at the dragonborn he'll say, Didn't catch your name, friend. I'm Silent, this is Magnum.

The dragonborn replies: Pleasure, name's Balassar. So how did you two meet up?

That didn't take long at all. Did this horse belong to one of them?
A human and a halfling lead a horse down the road from the north; the human has a strange dragon-like creature perched on his shoulder.
A dragonborn rides his horse up the road from the south; with him are a half-orc and a construct, and a half-elf tied up in rope.
Please give a short physical description of your character, and what you do as you approach the other group.

You also mentioned some sort of personal item being stolen, correct? Perhaps describe it and I'll see if he has it on him.
