Silent looks both ways for onlookers before surreptitiously taking the sweet.Don't go tellin' too many of your friends about this, I'll never live it down.He winks.
Balassar walks up after Silent and smiles as stretches his hands together cracking the knuckles "I'll try this feat of strength next." he says with a smile as he passes Silent.
Silent, the little girl stares up at you for a full five seconds, mouth open. Behind her, a friend laughs and pulls her away, but as she's removed from the scene the girl calls back: I promise!
Balassar, your hammer swing is a little better than Silent's, but not by much. You win a small prize, a single apple candy which you are allowed to pick from a bowl.
With the honour of its warriors hanging in tatters, the party moves on. Further along the square you spy an archery contest and a stall where you guess the weight of a pig. The pig casts you a noncommittal look as you approach. There is the sound of music coming from even further ahead.
Balssar just laughs as he takes the prize and candy enjoying it. He just smiles as he sees the archery contest "Lets all join in." he says with a smile on his face as he walks over "How do I sign up for this contest? Is there also a sword competition?" it was clear the dragonborn was truly enjoying the competitive feeling of the games.

Wash looks at the effort his stronger friends put into the strength competition, looks nervously at the hammer and decides to go for it anyway: Strength check: 7
Wash looks pleased that he seems to have done as well as his strong friends and moves on to the archery contest with a bit more confidence and a spring in his step.
It costs five coppers to enter the archery competition; you notice that some competitions are free (presumably paid for by the town), but others are not. Still, none are expensive for you, given that adventurers are richer than most folk.
A halfling woman smiles as you approach. Good day, gentlemen, isn't it?. Fancy yourselves archers, do you? You don't look it, but who am I to judge? Five coppers buys you three arrows, do you see? Two hits and you win a prize, isn't that nice? She points at a shelf stack with various prizes, a mix of toys, dolls, books, games and other things of interest to children. Win something for the little ones, do you have children? Or perhaps for yourselves to pass the time on the roads in your travels, are you travellers?
If you're attempting the archery competition, pay your five coppers and make three attacks at disadvantage with a shortbow. The target is ninety feet away down an alley, hence the disadvantage, and you can't shoot with your own weapon. Hit the target (DC17) for one point, hit the bulls-eye (DC22) for two points. Two points and higher starts to win you prizes, with the almost unwinnable grand prize going for five or six points.
Silent, well aware of his general clumsiness with ranged weapons, decides to take a look at the pig while the others attempt the archery contest. If Magnum isn't shooting arrows, he'll wave him over. You got a good head for numbers, Magnum - what d'you reckon?
Silent, you look at the pig. The pig looks at you. A nearby halfling says Guess the weight, 2 coppers, and points to a sign that says "Guess the Weight: 2 Coppers"
If you would like to attempt a guess, make an Investigation check and a Nature check, with advantage if Magnum is helping.
With a smile, Alton hands over the five coppers and takes up one of the spots, "I don't have kids ma'am, but a game for the road would be nice." With that, he takes aim at his target with the short bow and fires.
Arrow 1: 16 Arrow 2: 8 Arrow 3: 18
Alton laughs as all three of his arrows miss the target. "Those are a bit farther than what I thought."
Silent will pay the halfling the 2 coppers but leave the guesswork to Magnum (he'll give him the help action if possible instead of taking the help himself)

Balassar nods handing over the copper as he grabs the bow "Use to something a bit bigger, but it's all for fun anyway." he says drawing the bow and letting his arrows go one after another.

Alton snickers at the scores of Balassar and Silent as they walk away. Seeing the archery booth, he will head towards there.

Sadly, all of Alton's arrows miss. The halfling running the archery says encouragingly: Don't you want to try again?
I also need a Nature check from Magnum, please.

You make your guess, and the pig-keeper writes it down in book. Come back just before sunset and see if you're the nearest.
The pig shifts its gaze to you. It stares for a long time without blinkng.
Alton will give the archery another go while Silent and Magnum are over guessing the pigs weight. "Sure, why not. My friends look busy over there."
