This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Intimidation is fine, so that's a 17 total.
The battle intensifies; more are taking wounds on both sides. The Righteous Brand seem to have the upper hand, but the drow show no sign of surrendering.
Silent and Balassar, you notice the drow D3 takes a hit and vanishes into nothingness. Silent, this is an effect you are extremely familiar with, and you hadn't noticed before that D3 and D2 were so similar. The drow scowls as his Echo is dispersed, but does not resummon it yet.
Silent, the captain looks a little intimidated as you call out in Elvish; he does not seem reassured, and he launches an attack on you with his own greatsword, attempting to do non-lethal damage:
Silent, you take one very powerful smack against the head. Stand! Down! the man shouts, though his voice betrays his lack of confidence for all to hear.
It's a terrible swing, clumsy and ineffective. Balasaar, you almost hit the halfling soldier at your side, though you are able to pull your weapon back just in time. They are busy defending themselves from the drow, and don't seem to notice.
The tide of battle seems to be settling on the Righteous Brand as the likely victors; the drow before Balasaar, and another further away, both fall to crossbow bolts launched with deadly aim.
Alton moves in closer to the fighting and tries to wave the injured Righteous Brand over to him. When close enough, he’ll give them a tap on the shoulder saying as he cast cure wounds, “Hang on just a bit longer. There isn’t that many left now.”
Movement: Moves to the square just to the left of RB12 Action: Casts cure wounds at first level on RB10 for 12 healing.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
The Righteous Brand soldier nods gratefully, and seems much recovered.
The two weakened drow both succumb to sharp weapon blows from the soldiers surrounding them. Only the mage and the strongest warrior remain.
The mage casts a spell. And both the drow vanish. There's a gasp of surprise from the soldiers, who start stabbing randomly at the air, but hitting nothing.
With the sounds of the battle and the cries of alarm from the soldiers, it's not easy to tell if the drow teleported away or became invisible, or something else. Any of you can make a Perception check with disadvantage, if you wish - it's not an action and you don't need to wait for your turn. Alternatively, Alton can make an Arcana check, a straight roll, to guess at what spell was used. In addition, Silent is up for his full turn.
Silent initially barely registers the blow to the head, keenly watching the drow. When they disappear, he turns to stare up at the Righteous Brand captain, rubbing the back of his head. You draw a sword against a man, that means something. If you're that keen to throw your life away, I'll dance with you. But maybe you oughta bury your soldiers first, eh?
Silent will Ready a non-lethal strike against any drow that appear within range, if any do end up returning to the battlefield.
Balasaar, you don't hear or see anything nearby that suggests the drow are still around. You guess they might have fled, though you don't know for sure.
Alton, you think it was probably some kind of illusion magic, but you don't know illusion spells very well so it's hard to say for sure - it might have been a teleportation too.
Silent, as the soldiers continue their search, the mounted officer glares at you, his expression hostile; he keeps his horse very much in your face, though he does not attack yet. "My soldiers fought, and died, to keep crick scum out of the Empire. There are still two beasts to be killed. Or perhaps three? Explain yourselves. Who are you?" He directs the question mostly at Silent, maintaining hostile eye contact, but seems to want to hear from any of you.
Silent thunks his sword into the ground point-first again. Just a couple of drifters who heard a commotion and tried to help. He looks at Alton and Balassar apologetically. We all go about that differently, see. I picked up some of their lingo in my travels. Figured a bit of talk might help but… looks like I was wrong. Things are too far gone for words to work now.
Silent, make another Persuasion check.
(OOC: Any chance we could go for Intimidation on this one since there's a threat of violence? It'll be an extra 2 to the roll if you allow it.)
Persuasion 10
Throwing in Alton's Bardic Inspiration 3

Attack: 15 Damage: 8
Attack: 7 Damage: 7
Silent, you take one very powerful smack against the head. Stand! Down! the man shouts, though his voice betrays his lack of confidence for all to hear.

Balassar is up.
Balasaar is up.
Balassar just takes another swing at the drow in front of him hoping for it to hit.
OOC:
Attack: 22 Non-Lethal Damage: 10 Giant's Strength: 5

Alton is up.

(ooc: Anyone near Alton that looks pretty beat up?)
Be excellent to each other, and roll for initiative dudes!
(OOC: Not super close to him. RB10 next to Balasaar, and D4 and D7 are all looking pretty bad.)

(OOC: I'm gonna roll the Perception check before Silent takes his turn, just in case he picks up something that will sway his decision-making)
Perception 13
Nah, there's soldiers calling out at each other and swishing their weapons around; it's too noisy and busy for Silent to see anything useful.
Balassar just looks around for any signs that they may try to attack again.
OOC:
perception check: 16
Alton's arcana check for the spell: 5.
