Before leaving, Alton will give Ghost some scratches behind the ears. As they are walking back he will also use Prestidigitation to get the three of them mostly cleaned up. "We should probably head back to my place. Ma might have even left some food out on the table for us."

Let's do it. Should we tell your folks or any of the villagers about what we found? If the war is bleeding into these parts... I dunno, if it were me I'd wanna know. But I reckon it might throw the village into a bit of a panic.
You return to Alton's family home; there is indeed some food on the table, covered in a cloth, with three plates set around the table for you to tuck in.
Whether you eat or not, you head off to your rest; Silent and Balassar, your beds are still in the front room from the night before, though it looks like the sheets have been changed. You hit the hay, and sleep deeply, any wounds from the battle disappearing. Alton, you felt drained, far more than usual after the battle, but in the morning you wake rested, refreshed, and feeling stronger than ever.
In the morning, the house fills with the sound of Alton's family moving around and beginning their day; Silent and Balassar, the family's attempts to be silent around you and avoid waking you are comical in their ineptitude. This is not a quiet household, and nothing will ever change that. Nevertheless, you are tired enough that you sleep long into the morning.
You all wake having completed a long rest. And after defeating the Wights, you all reach Level Five.
Before joining the rest of Alton's family, Silent tries to find Balassar and Alton and asks them how much information they'd like to divulge about their fight with the wights and the ghost situation.
Alton would suggest that they tell what happened but leave out some of the details like the undead being Rightous Brand and drow. Along with adding in that the ghost was just trying to warn people about the danger.

Balassar wakes up and comes out in the morning looking at everyone "Morning." he says just taking a seat and looking at the others as he just turns one of the bracelets in his hand.
Silent heads downstairs to find Alton's family and says, Well, I reckon we've taken care of the ghost problem. Laid that fellow to rest real good, shouldn't be disturbing anybody else.
Good news, good news, Alton's father says enthusiastically. Well, don't keep us waiting. Tell us the whole story! Though breakfast is long over, the halflings seem happy to gather once again, and there are immediately cookies and tea.
Silent, not wanting to get caught in any further stretching of the truth, stuffs his face with cookies to give himself an excuse not to talk very much in the hopes that Alton will spin a convincing yarn for his family.
Here? Alton's father laughs. We're a small place, my friend. You'd need to go to Bladegarden or Zadash for that. I'm not even sure there's one in Felderwin, though perhaps with the war on there is.
Might have to make the trip to Zadash then. As for them ghosts... was just an old soldier hanging out near that pool in the forest. Gave him a stern talking-to, poor sod didn't even realize he was dead, told him to go towards the light and all that. Don't reckon he'll be troubling anyone anymore.
That is good to hear, very good to hear. And good that he was a friendly ghost, if there can truly be such a thing. I will make sure everyone hears about it.
You can spend the morning with Alton's family, though you will inevitably get roped into many chores. Or you can head off. What's the plan?
Silent pulls Alton and Balassar aside at some point in the morning at Alton's house.
What's our next move, lads? We got some Righteous Brand bracers now, potentially some other old scores to settle, but we've also got your(he looks at Alton) treasure hunt and the map. D'you think there's anything here that might help with the hunt?
Alton thinks for a moment, "I don't think so. My great grandpa just left behind his journal and map before vanishing. We do still need to report back to Felderwin too and see if we can become more of a freelance group. We could leave today, but there is something I'd want to try before leaving."

Balassar just looks to Alton's father "Is there a Righteous Brand representative in the town by chance. I need to return some bracelets."
Alton gives Silent the side eye as he chows down on the cookies and uses the question Balassar asked to give him some time to come up with something.
