Celica blows a bubble and lets it pop while she takes in the Vagrant. "Wow, this place is cool! And to think it's run by a trio of triplets, that's amazing! Are you guys going to buy anything here? I'm a little light on cash at the moment, so it'll probably just be browsing for me..."
Balassar, a halfling wearing an expensive-looking purple jacket and an absurd hat with a feather in pushes past you on his way into the store. "Well, excuse me!" he says, as though you had been the one to push him. He enters and disappears from your sight. For those inside, he simply enters and joins the queue waiting to speak to one of the three shopkeepers.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Oh, wow!" Sally almost stands on her tippy toes, watching the furry shopkeeps convers with the customers. "I'll browse, if you don't mind," She begins walking around with a smile that is polite, but not too polite. Watching the wares with interest, but not hunger. There is a window to nick something here, and she wouldn't be herself if she didn't at least peek through it.
Sally, you see a few strange and interesting items, very securely kept within cases on the shelves. There's an amulet, a lantern, and you see two cloaks carefully folded and very well presented. You can see that there are also quite a few items that the shopkeepers keep behind the counter and are showing to potential customers, but you would need to push through to the front - and jump the queue - to get a clear view of them. There are no prices marked anywhere, but you get a very strong sense that you can't afford anything here. At least, not yet. Who knows what the future holds?
The cases do have locks; they look fairly expensive, but nothing too out of the ordinary.
Sally pouts and shrugs, deciding that it isn't worth it for now. No reason to test her luck. They wouldn't place anything worth stealing out thee anyway, but the catalog seems nice enough.
It's a long wait - about an hour for Alton if he wishes to stay that long.
Eventually, one or two customers decide to leave and call at a quieter time, and eventually reach the front of the queue.
"Well, hello again, friend," says the firbolg. "I'm Pumat Sol. I remember you were talking to Pumat Sol when you were here before," and he nods at one of the others, distinguishable from him in absolutely no way that you can discern, "and it's always good to see a return customer. How can I be of service today?"
Celica will probably browse around for a bit before heading out and sticking in the general area of the Vagrant. While she innocuously pops a fresh gum ball into her mouth, she attempts to listen in on conversations around her, hoping to pick up on any rumors or news from other parts of the Empire or beyond. Perhaps of a scar-faced killer or perhaps not!
(I am assuming this would be perception, so I'll roll it as such, but if it would be something else feel free to use whatever I roll originally and add the necessary modifier to it.)
Alton smiles, "That must get confusing if your siblings are named the same. I was wondering if you had anything that would change someone's appearance?"

Celica, you do overhear a few rumours; there are concerns about how the war is progressing, and that they had been expecting to hear news of great victories already, but the official news is quiet. You hear that there are rumours of a crime wave, though this is disputed - one speaker claims that there is no more crime than usual, but people are on edge due to the war. You don't hear anything about a murderer, though - these are wealthy people and their main concern is property crime. One pair in the corner of the store appears to be having quite a terse discussion about a specific recent crime, though - if you want to get closer and eavesdrop you can, but make a Stealth check as well to avoid being noticed.
Alton, Pumat Sol nods. I do have such a spell, a scroll that you can purchase. It can't make you all that much bigger, or much smaller for that matter, but you can look like someone else for about an hour or so. It's quite a popular spell for entertainments and such like, and I'm sure you wouldn't want to be using it for anything that wasn't of a totally honest-type nature. I'm pretty sure you could cast this one as well, but you can only cast it on yourself. It's a mere fifty gold pieces, and I have two in stock at the moment.
Alton nods, "That will be fine, and I'll take both scrolls." He hands over the hundred gold for both scrolls. "I'll have to see if I can figure out how to cast this myself."

Alton completes the transaction; Celica waits quietly, and Balassar gets distracted by a group of children on the street corner who are pretend fighting with wooden swords; one of them has pretty decent natural talent, but they're all too young for proper training to begin.
Once they are outside and walking towards the inn they decided upon, she brings up the job once more, "That is one tragic story though. We better figure it out, I really don't like the thought of him having to recite that whole... incident again."
"Nah, he won't have to. We're gonna catch this guy and bring him to justice! Let's grab some food and drink, then hit the road. Have any of you ever been to Feltyr?"
Alton shakes his head, "This is the farthest I've ever been from home. We can go check out the place Balassar suggested that is up in the fancy district for some food and drink. What was it called again?"

Balassar just stands outside "I'm good as well, got everything I was interested in last time we were here."

An hour has passed - what's everyone else doing?

Celica is wise enough to know that she won't be able to stealth surreptitiously, so she pulls back and simply waits for her companions.
Alton completes the transaction; Celica waits quietly, and Balassar gets distracted by a group of children on the street corner who are pretend fighting with wooden swords; one of them has pretty decent natural talent, but they're all too young for proper training to begin.

Balassar just smiles “The pillow trove.”
