This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Pockets readies his crossbow again. Hands bloody and shaking, he takes aim at the Sahuagin Leader. Raei, I could really use your light on me and my friends right now. Please guide my hands.
The crossbow bolt misses. The ray of frost misses. The sahuagin leader stands tall and calm, with an air of authority around her, as she regards you all.
Bloodied from the rain of blows, and way out of his comfort zone, Keyo is briefly thankful that he is underwater and his friends cannot see the tears flowing freely from his eyes. Keyo hears the water muffled roar of Pockets, and eyes down the Sahuagin shaman.
Keyo takes the disengage action and swims 40 ft. closer to the Shaman.
(OOC: My apologies, I dont recall your stance on using potions for yourself. If it is an action, I will have to wait until the following turn. If your ruling is that it is a bonus action, I will use that to consume the potion.)
(OOC: At the moment, I am considering making it a bonus action to consume a potion, especially as the party is light on other healing. But for this fight, no - we're sticking with RAW and it's a full action.)
Keyo, the sahuagin leader observes your approach with calm confidence. You can see that she is not as badly wounded as you thought, and has perhaps had time to heal in some manner.
She raises her hands, and a sickly green energy pulses around her closed fist, but she does not release it. Instead, she raises her voice. Foolish airbreathers. You are outnumbered and outmatched. Surrender now, and we will talk of the lies that have been fed to you. Otherwise, face the death you have chosen.
(OOC - In the Tal’dorei campaign guide, Matt Mercer made drinking a potion as a bonus action a feat you could grant players for free. He recommended it at a certain level but I don’t have mine on hand right now.)
Silent takes a deep breath and stabs his spear into the seafloor. He takes the Disengage action, moving slowly to his right with his hands raised. Inwardly he is kicking himself for not trying diplomacy initially.
Dajarkal swears, and follows Silent's lead, raising her hands and taking no hostile action.
The sahuagin leader motions, and the other sahuagin also step back a little, though they keep their claws up and ready to strike. The sharkbody abomination seems to go limp and slowly float away from Arael and Silent, though its eyes remain open and focused intently on the half-orc before them.
Round Nine Pockets, Keyo and Arael Selachai Silent and Dajarkal Sahuagin 1-5 Sharkbody Abomination 2 (1 is dead)
Pockets, one of the sahuagin hisses at you as you drink the potion, but they take no action. They watch as Arael backs away, and all eyes turn to Keyo.
Silent grimaces. Near the end of my tether here, mate...
As the sharkbody abomination pulls back from biting his arm, he shoots forward with another angry spear strike against it.
Attack 7 Damage: 9
(OOC: Great dramatic timing on the nat 1...)
As his spear goes wide Silent will burn his Action Surge and quickly chug his healing potion, cursing inwardly and healing 6
(OOC: I feel that pain, ouch)
Another round of attacks headed towards Keyo:
Bite Attack: 22 Damage: 5
Claw Attack: 18 Damage: 3
Bite Attack: 15 Damage: 4
Claw Attack: 13 Damage: 2
One blow connects. The next might finish him off, but Keyo is still standing.
Sahuagin 3 continues to menage Pockets:
Bite Attack: 21 Damage: 4
Claw Attack: 20 Damage: 4
Two good hits, and the gnome is also down to the last of his strength.
Sahuagin 4 swims in to attack Keyo:
Bite Attack: 14 Damage: 2
Claw Attack: 4 Damage: 5
While 5 attacks Arael:
Bite Attack: 20 Damage: 5
Claw Attack: 13 Damage: 4
As the sharkbody abomination tries to bite down on Silent once again:
Attack: 14 Damage: 14
It's another bad bite, and the work of the healing potion is undone.
You're down to the last of your reserves. Almost all your enemies are still up, many only barely wounded. The battle is not going in your favour...

Attack: 24 Damage: 12
Having failed to hit her again, Pockets is enraged. Kill the leader. Even if we die or flee, if she's dead, it sets her plans back!
Arael screams and shoots a ray of frost at the sahuagin leader.
Attack: 20 Damage: 3

The water is still for a moment...

(OOC: Oh, that was +2 not +4, so he healed 5 hp.)
Arael hisses but takes no violent action and backs towards her allies.
Pockets, one of the sahuagin hisses at you as you drink the potion, but they take no action. They watch as Arael backs away, and all eyes turn to Keyo.
Pockets salutes the Sahuagin with the most offensive gesture he can think of. Two fingers straight up.
