We have consumed the potions we carried down here with us. We would be honored to return this to its rightful home and owners. Arael pulls out the spear and holds it across her palms in a gesture of offering.
Selachai frowns. You return a stolen item to its rightful owners. You air breathers are strange folk indeed. But I will accept this; it has value, and we will honour our fallen sister, according to our custom. One of the sahuagin swims over to Arael and takes the spear roughly from her hands.
Very well. We will carry you to the shore, and you will carry our message to the rulers of the lands. You will also kill the murderer and send me his head, yes? Do we have an agreement?
I see. Then that is good. And this exchange has been profitable, from both sides, I think. Selachai, still on her guard, backs away and motions for her sahuagin to do the same. Pick up your weapons, and prepare yourselves.
As you do so, she gives Silent details of the hunter she wants you to kill. She does not know his name, but she gives a decent physical description; he is a tall half-elf, with green eyes and red-brown hair, and he has a distinctive scar from his left eye to his mouth. One of her followers will watch the village, and you are to throw his head into the sea within seven days, or the deal is forfeit.
As you are preparing to go, the villager starts thrashing, moaning against his gag and struggling to get free. Selachai ignores him, as other sahuagin swim up; some appear to be the ones you fought earlier on the ship, and it appears they have bandaged their wounds. Here are your... 'escorts' she says. Perhaps we will meet again. In fact, I think we will.
(OOC: well Shit, forgot about the villager - thought they were dead. Arael is not against just leaving - she’s at 2 HP and is worried about pressing our luck any further)
(OOC: If we fight them now I think we'll end up tied down with him... guess we could all play as sharkbody abominations, that'd be an interesting campaign)
"As a show of good faith, would you allow us to buy the freedom of this villager?" Keyo reaches out with a small pouch of coins. "It is not much, but may be of use to you."
Ah yes, Selachai says, that is why you came, after all. She laughs. And how much is this one's life worth to you? Never mind. Take him for free. A show of good faith perhaps. She looks sadly at the body of the sharkbody abomination you killed, and the one that is floating inert. They are... a work in progress. But if you honour your agreement, I will have no need of them, no? Now, go. She holds up the rod in her hands and points it at each of you in turn. Keep your word. Or there will be consequences.
One of the sahuagin brings the bound and gagged prisoner, while others grab you and carry you; they are able to swim much faster than you, but you are coming near the end of the bubble helmet's hour by the time you reach the shore. You break the surface on a beautiful sandy beach, about a hundred yards from the tree line. You are perhaps a mile or two north of what remains of Palma Flora, and there is no-one around that you can see. On the water, in the distance but clearly visible, the tiny ship of Three Earrings, still waiting for you. The sahuagin grunt and make occasional comments in their language, but nothing you can understand. The former prisoner, still tied up, collapses to the ground as the sahuagin dump him and the rest of you and swim back down beneath the waves.
(OOC: Arael can make a Medicine check if you like, but proficiency gives a +2 bonus, not advantage. That +2 is already counted in the +1 score that's on your character sheet. You can roll a straight medicine check or, if you wish, you can help Pockets - meaning that he will roll with advantage.)
Silent, you cut the prisoner's bonds, and he reaches up, pulling the gag from his mouth, and lets a splash of water out of his mouth.
(OOC: A weapon seems a reasonable possibility; you can offer it if you wish, and see what she says...)

(OOC: This is the spear that was purchased in Port Damali?)
(OOC: This was the one we took off the dead sahuagin who attacked the boat)

Silent grunts No arguments from me.
Pockets nods.
We are agreed. Thank you.

Pockets checks the former prisoner over to see if she's harmed.
The prisoner is still tied up and gagged - are you going to release him?
(OOC: I think I might have referred to them as 'she' at one point, but it's a man.)
Make a Medicine check to see how badly hurt he is.
(OOC: I can do a medicine check - I’m proficient, does that mean advantage?)
Silent will cut through the prisoner's bonds while the others check on his vitals.
Medicine - 2
