Gloorpk hops over to the pile of skulls, mostly of deer, lizards and small mammals. A few human-like heads also lie in the pile. He kicks one of the skulls over, and it spills dozens of gold coins on to the ground. "I show you where rest of treasure is, I leave, I go far away, we never meet again. Deal?"

"I don't think so," Bram says, crossbow still pointed at Gloorpk, waiting to fire on a word from the others. "What information you could have given us to save lives might have made a difference in a show of mercy. But that's not even in your nature to consider, is it? You're greedy and selfish, right down to the bone, and you think we think just like you. Well, you can't buy back the innocent lives you've ruined with your treasure hoard! People are worth more than coin, you slimeball!"
“Now, now friend,” Tafod says to Bram with a wink the Bullywug couldn’t see. “Let’s giv’ this ‘fellow’ a chance t’ do th’ right thing.” Looking at the Bullywug, he continues, “See, me frien’ ‘ere, ‘e wan’s t’ peal yer ide off cuz ‘e doesn’ think ye’ll do th’ right thing. Ye’ll be wantin’ t’ prove him wrong, yes?”
Davner let’s the others handle the situation. The look on his face shows his disgust and discomfort of the situation. Not sure if he wants to allow the monster to give the money before killing it, or just ending it now.
As the heroes discuss killing the monster, Gloorpk bulbous eyes flick from one to the other. Suddenly, his long legs contract and expand in a burst of power, propelling him over the heroes' heads and off into the cave beyond! With great leaping bounds, he rushes toward the cave entrance and disappears beyond a wall!
(Gloorpk is about 50 feet away. Tafod may take an attack of opportunity. The party is up!)

"That's what you get when you reap the wages of your sins," Bram spits into the air, feeling satisfied that justice was served. He turns around and looks at the others. "We should search the his lair thoroughly for any more clues. And maybe bring back some proof of having dealt with this toad to Reithann." Knowing that he's not exactly the best at planning, Bram decides to spend his time trying to recover as many of his crossbow bolts as he can, so that he can keep doing what he does best - which is definitely not thinking things through.

Recovering his two javelins, (1 stuck in chiefie baby, one outside) if possible, Tafod looks at his companions. “I were ‘open’ t’ get ‘im t’ tells of ‘is treasure,” he shrugs. “Now we be ‘aven t’ look fer it.”
Bram and Tafod recover their projectiles. Tafod looks in the pools for treasure, but all he gets is wet. The gold from the skull still lies scattered around the mound.
