Butterskull Ranch Quest. - INCOMPLETE“Orcs have attacked Butterskull Ranch, five miles east of Conyberry along the Triboar Trail! Travel there with haste, assess the damage, and help any way you can. Ranch owner Alfonse “Big Al” Kalazorn is a retired sheriff who can reward you for your efforts. If he’s dead, return to Townmaster Harbin Wester with proof of Kalazorn’s demise to receive a reward of 100 gp.”
Loggers’ Camp Quest. - INCOMPLETE“Deep in Neverwinter Wood, along the river that flows west toward Neverwinter, is a logging camp. Every two months, Phandalin delivers fresh supplies to the camp, which is run by the half-brother of Phandalin’s townmaster, Harbin Wester. Barthen, the local provisioner, has prepared a new delivery. He needs someone to bear the supplies safely to the camp. Return to Harbin Wester with a notice of delivery signed by his half-brother, Tibor Wester, to claim your reward of 100 gp.”
Mountain’s Toe Quest. - IN PROGRESS.“The Mountain’s Toe Gold Mine lies fifteen miles northeast of Phandalin. The new overseer, Don-Jon Raskin, just made the trip from Neverwinter to Phandalin and needs to be escorted to the mine. There’s no telling what dangers lie between here and there. Once you deliver Raskin safe and sound, return to Townmaster Harbin Wester to collect a reward of 100 gp.”
"Welcome, adventurers! Looks like you'll be my escort to the mine! Fantastic!" Don-Jon exclaims. "Hopefully, there will be no trouble. Shall we depart?"
Before leaving, Tex will spend his 125 to obtain a wagon and 2 draft horses, to aid in future travels. Alright, let's head out! This here is Clem, and Busterfer Jones. He pats the necks of the clydesdales before jumping up into the wagon. Fern is sitting on the bench panting happily. Don-Jon, you can ride up here with us, and the rest of us can take turns riding to conserve our strength. Let's go, Hyaah!

When Tex rolls up with the wagon, the rogue admires it, but gives a wide berth to the horses. To the former Underdark dweller, these large animals were every bit as dangerous as that manticore!
Lanarial nods to their 'package', then lopes off in front of and in the woods to the right of the wagon as they head off towards the mine. He will scout for any potential trouble or ambushes, especially with orcs on the prowl and a dragon on the wing!
The fastest way to reach the mine from Phandalin is to head northeast, skirting the foothills of the Sword Mountains. The mine is only 15 miles from Phandalin, so if you leave at dawn, you'll be there before sunset. Around dawn, a low ridge rises to your right, beyond which you see the Sword Mountains scrape the gray sky. But closer in, something is strewn across the rocky ground ninety feet ahead.
"Well, ain’t that something,” says Don-Jon, pointing at what appear to be six dead orcs.

Hidden among bushes, a tunnel burrows into the foot of a soaring, snow-capped mountain. Above the mouth of the tunnel is a wooden plank with the words “Mountain’s Toe” carved into it in Common.
Muttering to herself about the horses, Iri says, "I still don't get why they are call horses, they look nothing like seahorses." She hops onto the wagon and settles in, enjoying the beautiful view of the mountains. In the gorgeous sunrise she looks over at the orcs and jumps up. "What are orcs doing so close to town? Are there more?"
The Orcs are clad in hide armor, and their great axes and javelins litter the ground around them. You can determine that extreme cold killed the orcs about three days ago. Don-Jon says, “Looks like a white dragon saved us from some trouble.”
MOMENTUM: 5, CHAOS: 14
Two female wererats are guarding the entrance.
"Welp That explains it." Don-jon sighs. "The Mountain’s Toe Gold Mine, owned by a business consortium in Neverwinter, has been troubled by recent productivity problems from their investment. The owners hired me to sort things out. Now I see the problem. Wererats."
Landfall whispers, "We can quietly take these two out and then check out the mine. I've got a clear shot here..." He remains hidden behind a tree as he tells the others what he discovered in front of them.
"Wererats? So time to introduce you to your new underlings!" Iri walks forward towards the wererats and calls out to them, "Hi over there! We are here with the new overseer for your mine. Come say hi."
Tex stands up on the top of the bench of the wagon, waving his hat at the wererats. Ho there, my lycanthropic friends. Allow me to introduce Iridansa, chosen of the goddess of the moon, we don't wish to harm you, allow us to discuss possible solutions to an immediately pressing issue.

As soon as the wererats make aggressive moves towards his colleagues, Lanarial lets an arrow fly at the bigger of the two from his hiding spot, his training taking over.

Even as the arrow streaks across the distance, he ducks back behind the tree and moves to another hiding spot, ready to continue raining death from out of nowhere...
