Hayes shakes his head. “I don’t know of any agreement. I just do as my boss says. He works in the government. Tells me how much the pithmaster needs and how much we need to cut down for funding. Can you ask these intelligent, sentient forest folk what exactly the agreement was?” Hayes rubs his necks for a moment. “My men need to take down at least 50 a month for me to keep my job. Once we meet the quota, we leave the forest alone.” He takes a second to look around at the loggers around him. He points to one man and waves him over. “I need you to watch over everyone for a while. I’m heading into the forest with these folk.”
"Unless you have the right to make an agreement with them, I think you best find someone who can make decisions." Leon puts in, giving the man a shrug. "Would also be best if you can find someone who speaks their language, as only one of us does."
„If i remeber, the original agreement that they mentioned was 20 trees a year, you are asking for 600. Are those 600 trees only here in this camp, or do you run other camps as well and the 600 is in all camps? Also i think they spoke Sylvian.“
“I believe Trostenwald has its own group and its own quota, but these are all my men right here. And if these forest folk are as intelligent as you say, we can probably make a new agreement.”
"I won't try to intimidate or fight them for you." Leon says with a shrug. "Nor i think will the majority of those with me." He glances to the others. "This agreement is between you and the forest folk, and you will need to work it out with them. You best find something you can agree on with them, or I doubt if you will be abel to harvest any more trees without them continuing their harassment." He would start leading the foreman back towards the trees though.
“I don’t want you to intimidate or fight. If they say there’s some agreement I’m not aware of, it’s only right that I hear them out. I will just need...protection. I doubt they’re very fond of me or any of my men.”
Leon moves over to Cinta . "It sounds like these men do not know about the agreement." He tells her with a glance to the men. "We should see if they will work out an agreement with the forest folk, but need you to translate for them. Will you do this, to help come to an agreement here?"
Cinta looked pained but nodded to Leon, " It will be best if he doesn't bring the axe."
" But I can't see them agreeing to 600 trees.....even with replanting that will remove a huge swathe of the forest for many decades....centuries perhaps."
" But he seems to be telling the truth, so I will go."
"It is not for us to say what he or they will agree to." Leon suggests. "Let them figure it out between them, the tree folk can take care of themselves in this I believe."
The large lumberjack leaves his axe behind as he follows you into the forest. “One of you said these were pixies. Did they attack you when you first came through?”
"Don't worry....I won't let them harm you while you're just there to talk." Arrin tells the lumberman with a nod, "No matter what kind of tricks they use."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
You all lead Hayes to the place you found the pixies.

You all hear a clap as Hayes slaps his hands over his ears. “They’re here! I can hear them!” You see his eyes briefly flash green, then fade to normal. He points to Arrin. “They made me think you were a bear. These troublesome forest folk are trying to confuse me. Come on out! Wherever you are, come out!” There is no movement around.

“It it involves my men, I can go and make a new agreement with the forest folk, yes. And what language would that be?”

Are you all going with Cinta?
Orin is going with her.
Zoya follows as well.
The large lumberjack leaves his axe behind as he follows you into the forest. “One of you said these were pixies. Did they attack you when you first came through?”
Zoya shrugs. "They turned me into a frog, if that's what you mean. There are worse things to experience, though."
"It was more of a prank and noone got hurt."
"It was a misunderstanding." Leon adds in. "We were a bit surprised ourselves and had weapons drawn."
"Don't worry....I won't let them harm you while you're just there to talk." Arrin tells the lumberman with a nod, "No matter what kind of tricks they use."
