Alianna follows into the corridor to where Mithrokk stands in front of the door. Standing behind him, she uses her keen elven hearing to listen for any sign of the scratching noises the boy told his father about.
OOC: Okay, here's how I'm going to do this so that everyone gets a chance to act and no one monopolizes the action. I'll follow the order of posting, and choose the first action you mentioned. If someone has already done that action, then I'll pick the second or third action in your post. Afterwards, I'll pause to give the other players a chance to act. That way Tristan can tell us Farnakees is up to, or Dillion can come down the stairs if Dan shows up.
Lathelas moves 20 feet into the corridor and stops to examine the door on the right. It looks to be a strong wooden door, but he notices that the bottom has been ripped apart. There is now about 6-8 inches of clearance between the door and the floor.
Mithrokk wanted to look at the door, but the elf got there first (dwarves got them stumpy legs). He examines instead the broken crates of foodstuff. The food has spilled onto the floor and rotted (the green color on the crates in the video represents mold). The smell of rot is especially strong in this area.
Rastaris uses his familiar's darkvision to see to the end of the corridor. His owl's sight shows him that the corridor is around 80 feet long. At the end of the corridor are two more doors, across from each other.
Alianna joins Lathelas at the door and tries to listen, but the sound of rushing water coming from the south (the end of the corridor) makes it difficult to make out any sounds.
OOC: As I mentioned before, wait for the DM to ask for a skill or hit roll. Skill or hit rolls made without the DM's request will not be counted. That nifty 20 the dice-roller gave you won't count if I didn't ask for it.
OOC: That said, Mithrokk and Aliana, please make Perception rolls. Alliana, you'll be making your roll with disadvantage (just click on that option on the dice roller for this roll) because of the sound from the rushing water.
Studying the holes, the incredibly perspicacious Lathelas notices tiny teeth marks on the wood, leading him to conclude that they were likely made by rats.
OOC - Sorry, for the delay, but it's been some time since I've done this, so I've forgotten a lot about how to post maps. Please tell me if you can see the map, and if your position on it is correct.

OOC: Rast is Vulcan?
"Worry not, friend elf, methinks we'll soon find murder, malice, and mayhem."

OOC: How do we know that Xelote hasn't switched minds with Rast? "Your mind is my mind; your thoughts say 'bring me live mice.'"
OOC: That's not a mind meld, that's the plot to Freaky Friday. :-)
OOC: Or Invasion of the Body Snatchers.

Was the bottom of the door gnawed on or was it broken by some other means? Any signs of fire? Is the door still closed/locked or is it ajar?
OOC: Um, that's a CSI-type of question -- can elven super-senses identify the presence of bite marks on wood? Anyway, make an Investigation check.
OOC: The door is closed, but Lathalas hasn't checked if it's locked yet. Do you want to try and open it?
Investigation: 20
OOC: That's CSI-level investigation right there! Natural 20!
OOC: Yes, it is.

Lathalas peeks underneathe the door.
OOC: Let's wait for the others to post and make their rolls, then I'll tell Lathelas what he sees.
Perception: 11
Perception: 12
Farnakees takes his position beside Lathalas, shield up front, scimitar out keeping the area bright.
Are there any wall sconces/torches in the corridor that the hoomans might be able to use?
