Lathalas turns to Dibbledob. "May we, with your permission, search the room? We will not take anything."
OOC: Lathalas asks the gnomes what they are doing about the disappearances.
OOC: He's trying to gauge how best to align the party's actions with what the gnomes are planning/have already done.
Farnakees is told he can go to the pantry -- G5 -- to find flour.
The gnomes tell Lathalas that given the king's order, they can search wherever they wish. Which room do you want to search.
Lathalas enters the treasury and searches the room. He is wary of anything that might present itself as a threat.
OOC: Did D&F provide an answer to Lathalas about what they are doing about the disappearances? Just wondering if this question got lost in all of the posts.
OOC: Who is with Lathalas when you enter the treasury? Have you still split the party? Make an Investigation or Perception check -- your choice.
Rastaris will be at the back, ready to cast a spell if Lathalas is attacked.

OOC: We don't need the flour just yet. Come in and search the room.
OOC: If Farnakees goes to the pantry without Lathalas, Alianna will accompany him. If not , she will join everyone else.
OOC: OK. She'll search the Treasury with the others.
Rastaris enters the room with Lathalas but remains at least 5 feet away.
OOC: Does he also make an investigation/perception check?

Yes, he can make an Investigation or Perception check too.

Alianna can also make an Investigation or Perception check.
Farnakees goes to the pantry at G5. He takes one of the party with him (OOC: Let me know who :-))
To DM: Does Farnakees see anything of note in the Pantry?
Alianna has been unable to make her mind up all day. She decides to go with Farnakees instead.
OOC to DM: Could I use my investigation check for the pantry instead?
Farnakees drags Mithrokk along with him then.
And Alianna apparently.
OOC: OMG. We split the party.
Seeing that three members of the party have headed for parts unknown (to him), Lathalas retreats back outside of the treasury with Rastaris.
OOC: WTF??
OOC: One group gets cake, the other gets death.
