As they all reach the house, Dornik reads the sign with a raised eyebrow. Stopping only to shrug, he walks up to the door and knocks. "Nima? We're here from your boss, just checkin' in on you. You in there?" He pulls back and crosses his arms, waiting for a few moments for a reply.
The man shakes his head, "Well, gaffer handles all the orders, we just work for him. And lady, do you really think kobolds are smart enough to even understand? Besides that, Sleese does the teaching around here, sorta how we get recruited. If he sees potential in someone, then he'll offer an apprenticeship which eventually leads to us just working for him for an actual wage."
At the rest of the Party:
A cough comes from behind the door as it clears it throat. "I'm fine -cough- just still sick. I don't want to -cough- get the others sick. I'd stay away -cough- you might get it too."
Isobi scratched her nose: "Kobolds are good at salvaging and re-purposing, so it myself once... And I would hate to think someone else was helping in that break-out. Anyway, were there any new apprentices or "potential" apprentices very recently? And where can I find Slees?"
"You were just talking with him, weren't you? Like I said, he's the gaffer, the boss around here. You even have his ledger. And for new apprentices, none, Sleese is too busy over achieving on the orders for the war, been working us to the bone."
"Oh, yes, of course," Isobi covered confusion by pretending reading the ledger. "So, no new faces around asking anything, no changes - nothing. Do you know anything about Nima's sickness? Must be terrible to loose the best worker right in the middle of this order crisis. Anyone else got sick?"
"Only thing I know is that she's been sick for a while, whole three weeks in fact. And no, she's the only one that did. It was sudden and some of us thought she was just playing hooky, but a week passed and we all assumed it was a bad sickness." He answers
At rest of Party:
(I'm assuming you all are still fairly suspicious.)
Rather than sick, the voice seems oddly nervous. And what really sticks out is if you compare it to Isobi. As it sounds nothing like her, the voice more natural raspy than sick.
"Thank you," sighed Isobi, "you've been most helpful." It felt like a dead end, probably, it would be wiser to join others but they were long gone and morning workers were about to come... She had to finish what she started.
From the outer side of the door, Dornik replies to the sick woman."Thank you for your concern, miss, but we're here to check in on you. Sleese was worried about you, what with your sickness and the crazy criminal on the loose. Wantin' to make sure you're doing alright and recovering all right. No one's been botherin' you, have they?"
There are two entrances to the house, the front door and the side door. All of the windows are closed, along with their curtains blocking view into the home.

Dornik narrows his eyes a little and looks at others. He had never mentioned any goliath in particular. Would the goliath's escape big enough news that a shut in would have heard about it so quickly? Especially since most of the town was partying?
It doesn't add up. If she's been stuck in her home all this time, how would she have known about an escaped goliath just a few hours ago. Especially with the Watch wanting to keep this under wraps until they can assure everyone of their safety.
At River:
The door unlocks as the final tumbler locks in place. As you slowly open the door to peer inside, the first thing you see a couple of kobolds at the front door. They whisper to each other and nervously look between themselves and the door.
Dornik motions the others to get ready, just in case, before replying. "Funny, as I don't remember mentionin' much about any goliath. Ma'am, on the authority of the City Watch, I'm going to have to request that you let us in. Don't want no trouble or nothin', just have some questions for you."

DM:
River enters, draws one of her shortswords as she silently moves up behind the kobolds, and attempts to use the butt end of the sword to knock out one of the kobolds.
Shortsword attack: 18; damage: 4 nonlethal damage
Surprise attack racial trait if appropriate: 10
If the attack knocks out one of the kobolds, she then holds out the pointy end of the sword toward the remaining kobold. If the attack doesn't knock out one of the kobolds, she holds the sword out toward them both. Either way, she then says, "Hold."

Dice has been following along and listens. "Is there anything we can do for you. We are here to help in any way we can."
Lot's of stuff ...
At Isobi:
"Alright, I'm going to head back and finish my count then." The man leaves and Clary comes in, "Want me to grab next one now?" She asks.
At Rest of the Party:
"No...no...I just need rest. I don't know of any goliath." The voice answers.
