The noblewoman feels the brush of your hand through the pillow resting in her lap as you grab the bracelet, and she turns wide-eyed to look at you, drawing a dagger she has concealed in her bodice.
"Thief!" she screams. "You have defiled a sacrifice to Cyric on this Day of the Dark Sun!"

Edit: Oh, and take Inspiration for "giving in" to your flaw.
Anakis disengages from the noblewoman and turns tail and runs down the street through the markets and people. (If you'll allow it) She reaches into her pouch as she does and throws another handful of coins in the street behind her.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The crowd fills in behind you as your coins ring out on the cobblestones as they fall to the street. "Thanks Anakis!" says one of the street kids as they crouch down to gather up the coins. The noblewoman, furious at your quick escape, hurls her dagger after you. She has disadvantage due to the distance, and you have 3/4 cover because of the crowd of people.
You hear the dagger hit someone in the crowd behind you and people in the crowd begin screaming. The noblewoman calls to her porters, "Come on you imbeciles, get me out of here!" and they carry her off in the other direction at a quick pace.
Once you are in a safe place and can get a better look at the bracelet, you can see that it is made from a series of white gems, carved in the likeness of a jawless skull, alternating with purple gems in the shape of a sunburst.
Mask is pleased with the service you have performed, and in six days of downtime your training is complete. During this time, Aluzira has been resting. What do the two of you do now?
Aluzira will probably wait for some direction on what to do from the others since she joined mainly to help them on their mission to clean up the bog and find the source of the increase in attacks and creatures.
(OOC - what was our original purpose for heading into the undercroft? I remember the council sent us below, and we had a heap of strings left unpulled down there as we went in every random direction possible. Also, what becomes of the bracelet? I take it that it is taken as an offering to Mask? Or does Anakis still have it?)
Anakis plonks herself down in a seat next to Aluzira. "Hey Aluzira. How have you been? I've been training and getting a little better at some new stuff. What about you?"
Aluzira waves with a smile, “That sounds fun, did the training go well? I haven’t been up to much besides getting some new gear” she says with a nervous chuckle pointing to her set of mismatched daggers. “I also got a quarter staff and some medical supplies just in case, also a journal. I figured it would hold more information than my scroll. I’ll probably transfer everything from the scroll to the journal at some point, and maybe add a few more notes and sketches..” she trails off realizing she’s about to ramble a bit and takes a sip of her drink.
I think the purpose for the council of sending you down to the undercity was more exploratory than anything. They also were hoping you would reduce the monster population, so they granted you license to go down there, which is otherwise forbidden. The license is still active if you wish to return. I think the purpose for the party was to acquire some treasure for yourselves in lieu of the council granting the party's request for full patronage.
The bracelet is yours to keep or do with as you wish. The Shadowlord wanted only for you to perform that service for him, the purposes of deities being somewhat obscure and inscrutable.
Anakis nods as she listens to Aluzira talk about her journal. "Maybe you could sketch this pretty bracelet," she opens up her pocket for Aluzira to see the bracelet of white and purple gems, "But shhh, it's a secret gift from my friend." She then sits up tall once again and ponders what to do next. "Do you want to go back into the under city? Or should we go explore outside the city? We did have a lot of unfinished business in the catacombs under the city. We met some strange people and left a lot of things behind."
Aluziras eyes widen in aww at the bracelet, “It’s so beautiful,” she says quietly. “I think we should head back to to the city, like you said we left a lot unfinished and I told the ghost lady I would look for Hud. I can’t remember her name though... I always forget something,” she adds with a chuckle. “Also we’re going to need the treasure down there since we weren’t funded by the council.”
Anakis nods, "And we may even bump into that Yundur down there. The kids in the streets said he's actually pretty nice, but I don't know. But more treasures sounds good," she whispers with a smile. "Should we find some more people to head down with?"
(OOC - not sure if you want to recruit more or just NPC or sidekick it? I don't mind the sidekick method. Played a little with it in Icespire.)
At this point, it's the first day of March in Ekuepool. Aluzira has been resting for the past week, providing her with the benefits of a long rest, while Anakis has been busy with her training so has not had a long rest since the adventure in the undercity.
Between the two of you, you have nearly half the funds needed for Aluzira's training, if she can find someone to instruct her. An instructor might also be persuaded to accept some type of service instead of payment, as did the Shadowlord.
As far as reentering the undercity, it's easily arranged, and a team of boatmen will meet you to ferry you across at your request. Various types of hirelings might also be available if you decide to look for them.
As far as recruiting other players, what do you guys think? I'm happy to continue to run this as a two player game for now, or I could post a recruitment thread. I'm not a big fan of running NPC party members, so it was little unfortunate that most of the group decided to quit the game while the party was in a dungeon. I'd like to avoid something like that happening again.
(OOC - ah true, well then Anakis is happy to relax and get her long rest while Aluzira does her training. She would also offer up some of the money they found, keeping about 25gp in various coins, to help Aluzira pay for her tuition (340ep & 200sp = 190gp). As for NPCs, I've played sidekick rules which were in Icespire and more recently in Tasha's and found them pretty good. Basically, we as player's run them, rather than the DM, but they are basically NPC stat blocks for ease rather than full player sheets. I'm happy to run as we are, though I just worry that we don't have any real strength or defensive help.)
(OOC: Aluzira will try looking for an instructor, though I’m not sure what kind of service she could provide.. As for other players I think I’d be okay either way. Although Anakis makes a fair point about strength and defense. But it could be fun!)
Aluzira would most likely go to a library and ask around to see if anyone would be willing to teach her more about the kind of magic she wields or anything else that would help her improve. If she can’t find anyone there, she would look around for another Genasi who might be willing to teach her something. She would cover as much as possible with her own coin if providing a service wasn’t enough.
(OOC: Aluzira doesn’t like asking much of others even if she knows they’d give if she asked. That’s why she’d try to cover it on her own if she can.)
At the library, you learn that there is at least one person in Ekuepool who practices the type of magic you describe, a young woman named Evanlyn who lives out on Zenk Point. Assuming you go to see her, you find her modest, precise, and exacting, but with a cheerful disposition. She agrees to teach you what she knows of the bardic arts for the normal costs, but expresses interest in waiving the fee if you can procure for her a cask of a rare wine, the Tunne Noir, which she says can be very dangerous to obtain. She says she would look for it herself but is afraid of falling prey to the dangers that seem to befall those who go in search of it.
Aluzira will go to look for her and in an attempt to save what coin she can, and out of curiosity, starts asking a about the Tunne Nior. “Where would I begin looking for it? What dangers? Is it because of how rare it is or is it more like a curse that follows it around?”

Yes, you have the bracelet, and it's your turn. Do you run?
Edit to add: You're also still within reach of the noblewoman.

How do you go about trying to find someone to help you increase you capabilities, Aluzira, both magical and otherwise?
