This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Feeling surprised and perhaps even emboldened by the fact that he actually killed the crab, even with his rather clumsy attack, Flick turns towards the last standing sahaugin. He stabs at it with a quick rapier thrust and then follows with a swat of his paw.
Tharn nods to Flick, acknowledging the kill, then looks quickly at the acolyte. "Go where?"

Barrion gazes north toward the town for a moment, visibly struggling internally. After a long moment, he addresses the acolyte, "How familiar are you with Palma Flora and its residents? I came here looking for an auburn-haired Zemnian girl. She would have come here within the past year." The desperation in Barrion's voice begins escalating, "Do you know of whom I speak!? It is possible she was working at the inn. Do you ever.... er, do your shipmates ever visit the ladies that work there?"
Barrion turns to the three adventurers. "What say you? You no doubt just heard that I came here to find someone. I believe she is at the inn, but I do not know for certain. Perhaps, she was at the inn but has fled..." a pained look comes over Barrion, "...or worse. One the one hand, I feel strongly that I need to go look for her, but I know going alone will surely end in failure and death. On the other hand, I actually do not know where she is right now, and I hesitate to ask for your help searching for a needle in a haystack in the middle of an invasion. I think going to the inn would mean trying to avoid conflict where possible -- I know I could not survive many encounters like the one we just had."
After a moment of quiet deliberation, Barrion says, "Honestly, I do not know what to do. What say you three?"
"Do you know where the inn is?" Tharn asks. "Going yourself is stupid. I'd rather stay here until the ship leaves, but I'll fight with those who fight with me."
He calls to the acolyte, "Could you heal me and any of us that are wounded? We'll be back after we find his friend." He looks meaningfully at Barrion. "Within the hour."

"I have no intention of leaving this island right now, certainly not while it's still under threat, and not until I help you locate the person you seek, Barrion. You seem particularly driven to find this girl, and now you have me intrigued. So, your quest is now my quest, friend."
"And even though I do not know of this Zemnian girl, I have been here in Palma Flora for a few weeks, and I do know a handful of folks, including the innkeeper at the Riptide, for one. He lets me entertain at the tavern on occasion. I say we head back to the Riptide and see if we can converse with him. That is, after we help drive off the rest of the sea devils."
(DM: Do we heave more sahaugin or fighting anywhere else on the island?)
(There’s still sahaugin on the north and west of the island, and at this point, most of the villagers are either dead, captured, or have successfully escaped.)
"Thank you, for your support, friends. I urge caution against thinking the four of us can repel an invading army, though. If our friend can heal you -- sorry, friend, what is your name? -- then, we can fight our way across the bridge. I suggest that once we are on the mainland, we try to avoid conflict and make our way carefully to the Riptide. The Everlight saw fit to heal me of most my wounds once already -- that clawed creature nearly killed me. In my experience, however, she has not intervened in that way more than twice in one day."
"Better move out while that lasts." Tharn turns to Flick. "Can you lead the way? Avoid fighting if possible, but fastest route."

The crab is burnt to a crisp, leaving only the final sahaugin remaining. It rushes Tharn one last time in an attempt to finish him.

"On board? You mean on the boat!?" Barrion says with bewilderment. "Is it too late to make for the bridge... and dry land?"
Tharn shrugs. "Sounds like more fighting over there."
