Germain points to Fletch and to the end of the street where he could watch the front as well as be seen by the others if they follow, then moves around the building to look for another entrance.
Naroth shakes his head a moment and looks around, as if remembering what exactly he is doing, seeing none of his group around, he excuses himself from his pretty, distracting lady in front of him and then steps back into the tavern and orders one more ale, looking around to see if nay of his companions are inside. Seeing none he gets a worried look on his face, finishes his drink and steps back outside, scratching his head. He shrugs and then continues talking to the lady knowing eventually he will either hear shouting or someone will come and scoop him up.
Fletch nods in understanding, taking a post across the street to keep watch over the entrance. He raises his hood to 'blend in' as much as his tiny Kenku form will allow. However, after the first minute or so, he becomes bored of just waiting and decides to get a closer look for himself. He pulls out his spellbook, which as of late has begun developing a bit of a personality of its own. He opens the tome, and after a brief incantation a softly glowing orb of light rises from the pages. The light twists and morphs for a moment before settling into the shape of a tiny man. He's portly, balding with a thick mustache that drops at the sides. (Manifest Mind)
Fletch stares for a moment at the spitting image of his dearly departed former master before gesturing it to move. The tiny man appears to walk at a leisurely pace, hands behind his back, though in contrast to this he's actually moving fairly quickly through the air.
(Fletch will have the Mind show him what it sees. I'd like it to do it's best to stay high up in the corners of any room its in. It will look around for the man they were following until it reaches 300 feet away from Fletch, at which point it will return to him.)
When you stick your head inside you see both Ulric and Alhorn sitting at the bar still.
Germain
Moving around behind the shop you find a small yard with wagons parked around it, some looking recently repaired while others look like they need repair badly. There is a closed door to the back of the shop, actually two doors - one large for wagons and one smaller for a person.
Fletch
Calling forth your spellbook's spirit, you send the entity into the shop. It floats up near the ceiling and watches as the man you followed works at a counter, looking to be working on the hsop's books.
Shei
Walking outside of the tavern you see Fletch standing at the other side of the small square. he seems to be concentrating on something.
Ulric
The villagers seem quite impressed by your enjoyment of traveling where the wind blows. They continue to pesture you with questions regarding your travels and any adventures you have had.
The villagers are short with any responses regarding the castle. Some try to pretend it does not exist while others shrug it off as just a normal thing in town, not worth discussing. They are quick to turn the topic back to Alhorn and where you plan on going next, what adventures you have had, and anything else about Alhorn they can think to ask about.
Fletch casts Message using his spirit as a point of origin, sending the message to Germain.
"Our quarry seems to be a laborer within the establishment. A book salesman in fact. I should quite like to see what sort of-"he shakes his head. "-that matters not. After you ascertain whether there is an alternate escape route for him, we can simply enter the shop as a group, one would think."

Alhorn attempts to buy a round of drinks, and single out one of the more obviously avoidant persons. He will attempt to skip them some of his Philter of Love, in order to loosen those lips and get them talking.
"These people seem nice. Have we found someone that might know something about the great big eyesore over there?"
She wanders past him and attempts to appear inconspicuous.

"Tis possible. Germain hath circumvented this establishment to verify it has no escape route prior to our making any inquiries. The man inside tending to the books-"His voice shifts into a sly masculine voice, almost like how a cutthroat would speak."-caught 'is eye, if you catch my drift."
The large door does not appear to be locked. You hear nothing coming from inside.
Alhorn
Give me a sleight of hand check.
Others
Naroth and Ulric stand just outside the tavern. Fletch is across the square near the shop of the Wheelright. Shei is meandering around the square near Fletch. Anything you wish to be doing as Germain finishes checking out the rear door?
Fletch continues to use his Manifested Mind to spy on the man until the group hears back from Germain. Occasionally, he slips and begins to peruse the names of the books on display, but after a few moments he remembers the mission and focuses back on their target.
(This is a wagon-repair shop, not a bookstore. The man is doing bookkeeping, not reading or studying.)
Alhorn
You are able to slip the Philter of Love into the drink of one of the locals. (You can decide if it is a woman or man's drink.) No one seemed to notice.
Germain
Slipping into the back of the shop, you find a wagon there, looking to be in the middle of a repair. No one is in the back room currently, and there is a door between this area and the area where Fletch is watching the shop's owner. You are as silent as a shadow as you move inside and find a place to be hidden as you look around. Nothing appears out of the norm here though.
Ulric and Naroth
You two are standing outside of the tavern currently. both of you please give me another perception check.
Shei
You are also outside, so please give me a perception check as well.

Alhorn stays in the tavern and tries to ask some fans about the town and the castle.
"Who lives there?"

Ulric finishes his drink and thanks the villagers for the conversation saying he must keep moving.
Heading outside he looks for Naroth to see where everyone else has gone.
"Hrmmm."
