Balassar just pulls out his bag and begins to pull out all of the ingots that he was able to retrieve from the mountaintop. It wasn't until the man asked that he realized he never took the time to actually look over what he had gotten "It's this many...I honestly was just grabbing and don't know what all I got. I just need to get it to Silverstone Forge in Zadash as secure as possible." with that he quickly begins to look through the ingots trying to discern what exactly he was able to get for his family.
You managed to carry six ingots with you. They were covered in dirt and you've only now had a chance to look at them properly.
For each ingot, roll a d20.
A roll of 1-10 is an iron ingot, worth 15 silver pieces. A roll of 11-15 is a copper ingot, worth seven gold and seven silver. A roll of 16-19 is a silver ingot, worth 75 gold. A nat 20 is a gold ingot, worth 750 gold pieces.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Balassar just pulls out a cloth as he begins to rub each one gently and carefully to expose the metal below. He just nods as copper and iron are revealed, this was still good material that would help his father "Maybe if you all wouldn't mind we could go back into the tunnel for more ingots? This time with a cart." he asks.
Total value of that is 21 gold pieces. That's not a huge, but not a small sum of money for a family of smiths in the city.
As you are cleaning and looking over the ingots, the same servant comes up to inspect them. I'm afraid, sir, he says slowly, that these are stolen goods. I don't mean to give offence, of course. This one, and he holds one of the copper ingots, stolen from Mr. Goldcannon's own workshops. He points to an identifying mark.
Did you come upon these in your adventures? I'm sure there will be a reward if these were part of a larger group of stolen items... Shall I mention it to Master Goldcannon?
Balassar just shrugs as he looks at the servant and hands them over “Damn my luck. Yes my family won’t have honor in their craft if they used stolen goods. Instead of a reward would he be willing to sponsor them and use them. They are good smiths and have honor in the craft.”
"So, there aren't any places to buy magic items here in Hupperdook then." Alton says a little down. "I've heard of some really neat magics items in stories and wanted to see if I could find any of them. Like armor that changes its appearance, boots that let you fly and a bag that can hold almost anything." His spirits lift up at the mention of stolen goods, "There was that one room that was just full of stuff. Do you think it is all stolen goods?"
Wash responds "Yes, I think much of what we saw in the caves must have been all stolen or created from stolen materials. I hope that the Watchmaster has sent trustworthy people, so all the stolen goods get back to those who lost them."
"I wouldn't give up on the wonders that the local shops hold quite yet, as the inventors of this town create some truly wonderous items - even if they are not magical. There is a gnome tinkerer in the marketplace who has wonderous little clockwork mice and birds that are amazing. They are a little bit expensive - costing 20 gold. Mine also seemed to stop working each day at around the same time. It cost 5 gold to get repaired, but on the third time it stopped working, he bought it back from me for 10 gold which I think was a pretty good returns policy. He also has lots of other interesting items like that. Tinkertop Inventions also has lots of interesting items and, well, inventions. I once gifted Bririck a music box from there for his birthday and he seemed to really like it. That said, I haven't seen it for a while."
Things Wash will try to buy when out and about:
- another six healer's kits,
- ingredients for brewing two potions of healing with his herbalism kit when he has some downtime,
- another potion of healing (as he may not get the chance to brew potions any time soon),
- up to 100gp worth of charcoal, incense, and herbs (because of dreams he had) and if possible a small hand-sized brass brazier (even if it is not strictly necessary).
I will mention this to the Master when he returns, and perhaps you can discuss it in more detail tonight when you return. At the mention of a room of stolen goods, the servant nods and you see him sending someone to run to the Watchmaster's.
(I don't think you specifically mentioned the room of stolen goods as part of your reports, did you? Though you did mention that you hadn't explored everything.)
Wash can find all the things listed above; a brass brazier is not necessary, but you can buy a small portable one for ten gold. It's very little, but weighs 5lbs.
(I think if one of us knew those items in the storage room were stolen we would have mentioned it. Up until now we all probably thought they were being supplied to Huron by Xhoras.)
With his breakfast finished, Alton will head out into the city of Hupperdook for a bit of shopping and some proper exploration. "I'm going to head out guys. You are welcomed to come along, unless you want to split up and just meet back here later." During his outing, Alton will end up at Firemark's shop at some point.
(Well, there goes the list of things I was going to look for, lol.) Alton's shopping list:
Purchase List: - 3 healing potions - A pearl (worth at least 100gp) - A new journal (spellbook) - Ink pen and bottle of ink
Sell List: - Opal - Flawed Rudy - Flawed Diamond

The healing potions are readily available in the market, as are the other things on the list, for the price in the PHB. I assume the journal Alton is buying is using the price of the spellbook? Or does he actually want a spellbook?
You can sell any item you found, for the price that I specified in the thread when you received it. You don't need to check with me, just make sure you add the money and remove the items. Once you leave Hupperdook, anything not on your equipment sheet, you don't have. I would advise selling what you don't need - Hupperdook may not be as big as Rexxentrum but it's still a large town, and you will find buyers for most things here, much more so than in the countryside.
Are you headed together to Tinkertop Inventions, as part of your day's shopping?
Balassar just nods "I look forward to the conversation." with that Balassar will finish his breakfast and tag along with his companions on their shopping expenditure keeping an eye out for any weapons that might strike his fancy.
OOC:
Don't know what the chance is but Balassar will look for any magical or +1/+2 scimitars
(I would say just the price of a spellbook. I was thinking of using it as a way for Alton to keep track of his adventures. The only other thing I'd like to do is see if Sleese or Nima wants the blueprints to the Stalhmaster.)

At Firemark's Facility
You are shown in and made very welcome; word has got around that you rescued Nima, and as you pass through one of the workshops there's an impromptu round of applause. Sleese greets you and you head to a private area; Nima is back at work and joins you.
You are always welcome here, Sleese says warmly.
Did you go back to, Nima starts and then abruptly stops. Oh, I'm not allowed to talk about that, she whispers loud enough for you all to hear.
Wash asks "allowed to talk about what?" He then smiles and winks, to show he is just joking with her. [Wash didn't have much to do at Firemark's, though if someone wants to use the blasting powder he got for something here, let me know and I'll remove from his inventory.]
Alton smiles, "It is always good to know you are welcomed somewhere. For something no one is suppose to know about, a lot of people seem to know." He puts his pack down and pulls out some papers saying more quietly, "Well we certainly didn't go back and find a mechanical suit of armor; and we certainly didn't find the drawings for it either." He hands the blueprints for the Stalhmaster over to Sleese and Nima.

Nima grabs the plans before Sleese can barely glimpse what is on them. Yes! I thought... some of the materials implied... and of course a work of genius. Impossible to replicate, unless... She starts turning the plans around and holding them up to the light. Yes, with the appropriate substitutions, and an investment proportionate to the potential, this device will be...
Hopelessly overpriced and impractical, Sleese interjects. Tell me, how well did the mechanical armour perform, errr, that is to say, not perform while you were not up the mountain and not fighting its creator?

Balassar just begins to try and show the dimensions with his hands "Roughly 250 gold worth of ingots large?"
Iron ingots, do you mean, sir? Or something else?

Exactly!!! Nima shouts loudly, and there's a clang in the distance as someone appears to have dropped something in surprise.
