Flint has been riding in on the driver’s bench. He reigns the horses in to a stop and whispers to the others “Looks like trouble ahead.” He scans the horse corpses and the side of the trail hard for any movement.

OOC: I don’t know if I should have roled perception, but I figured I would just in case.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Eraminus nods in agreement, "Alaric, want to sneak around the side, see if there is anyone waiting for us? Might be wise to circle up the wagons as well."
Both sides of the embankment seem empty of life, in fact, it's almost completely quiet. Only the sound of the horses stamping their hoofs can be heard.
(Can Alaric give me a strength check please.) Alaric starts climbing the embankment.

Eraminus does his best to guide the wagons into a circle or a semicircle, providing a degree of cover. He'd prefer to be overly cautious than take an arrow. He had seen commanders walk their men into ambushes before, thinking that numbers will out match hidden enemies. He glanced at Flint, waiting with baited breath to see if Alaric would find anything.
Eraminus groans as the arrow slips through the rings of his chain mail, embedding itself into his shoulder. He drops behind cover before another one can find its mark. He breaks off a portion of the shaft of the arrow off and discards it, cursing under his breath.
[[ Just trying to help because it's probably late where Aragon is...and I may be completely wrong...but reading about Dodge suggests it imposes disadvantage on attacks if you can see the attacker; so in this case, we are all currently unable to dodge. You may have cover (behind wagons), but even with 3/4 cover, a 21 would still probably hit you since 3/4 cover is +5 AC. Also, because we can't see them, they probably all have advantage, meaning they got to make two attack rolls and use the best...
As Flint sees Eraminus take an arrow, he yells “Aw shite! Take cover!” Flint jumps from the driver seat of the wagon and attempts to take cover behind the wagon, putting it between him and the source of the arrow.
(I'll place Alvara inside the wagon as a plausible spot for her to have been MIA for the last couple posts)
Alvara had retreated into the wagon about thirty minutes ago, in hopes of finding a quiet moment to jot down notes on the flora and fauna of Triboar Trail. A sudden jolt from the change of direction of the wagon to circle it caught her attention and she opened the wagon flap to look outside.
"What's all the ruckus out he-" Alvara's sentence was interrupted by the unmistakable zing of an arrow finding its way to flesh through armored rings. Quickly surveying the scene, she notes the positions of Flint and Eraminus, but she cannot spot Alaric.
Alvara attempts to trace the trajectory of the arrow to locate the attackers. Perception check with disadvantage (as she was inside the wagon): 7
Eraminus groans, "It came from the left, not exactly sure where though." He glances around unsure if anyone has a ranged weapon to return fire. He slips his hand underneath the mail, applying pressure to the wound, aiming to slow any bleeding.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Can Alaric give me a (wisdom) Perception check (no disad/ad vantage). And anyone else who wants to look for the source of the arrow. As Ereshion said, unless you can see the attacker, [Dodge] is useless.)
A second arrow come out of the forest, again, coming from the left, but still hidden by the bushes. Attack: 9 Damage: 7 (The arrow strikes the dirt near the first wagon.
After the second arrow is released, two small, goblin looking creatures come running out of the left side of woods shouting. "Arkre breck charek!", they climb over the dead horses, and start running toward the wagons. (The are 30 feet from the wagon. Initiative: 17 )
The arrow looks like it came from 30 feet in front of you, inside of a particularly thick bush. After the two goblins came running out of it, you can still see at least one more.

If possible, Alaric tries to sneak up the side of the left embankment....depending one what everyone sees....

[[ Any chance to see where it came from?]]

Hope this works...Aragon only...
Can Alaric get to the Archer in such a way as to have advantage? Hopefully they are focused on their friends and the wagons and he can sneak up?
