"I don't think any of that aids me that well." Leon says, nodding to the items. "Please have your picks and we can pack up the rest." He moves towards these doors they are suppose to go through. Walking along them, he eyes them, looking for anything of concern about them...
Perception: 10
His magical detection is still up as well, so anything there?
Nothing unusual or magical anymore, with snakes disappearance - whatever it was - the doors now look just like any other door in the pyramid. There is no even a warning here or any picture of what's awaiting inside and it looks like all you need is to break the seal by a simple push and enter.
Bernard will cautiously pick up the mirror. "Maybe this mirror will help. I mean if it shows the past maybe we can see what Chitza-Atlan's strength and weaknesses are for when we face him."
He takes a deep breath and looks in the mirror saying, "Show me Chitza-Atlan's strengths and weaknesses."
"Gutsy, that is our Bugs." Leon says as he looks over his shoulder from the door to see Bugs looking into the mirror. "These doors look as if they just need a good push to open, so we are set to go through when you are all ready to do so..."
Alyssa’s eyes would focus on the feathered snake, watching as if she was mesmerized. She’d observe the magic which it casted before taking it’s leave. She’d stand there quietly without blinking for a while before stepping out of it. The scholar would reach for her notes.
Glad Bernard thought to check in with the mirror, she’d wait silently before asking. “Will we be resting before proceeding?”
Small metal mirror in Bernard's hands though perfectly polished did not show his reflection or reflection of anything else around, for that matter - just a quite heavy for its size polished disc. It was also cold to the touch, but once ranger concentrated on it and called a name, it warmed up slowly and begun to glow. Then, suddenly, a picture appeared on the smooth surface: a dark skinned man, richly dressed sitting on a throne and a figure, covered with the long hooded cloak, standing behind the throne. A proudly looking person in front of both says something (there are no sounds) and points at the hooded figure. The king (it has to be the king) turns his head slightly, the figure steps forward, the proud man opens his mouth to say something - but suddenly stops, as if instantly frozen on spot. The hooded figure makes step back.
That was all - the surface of the mirror became smooth reflect-less metal again.
Was the proud dark skinned king one the ruler that sent us on the task or someone familiar? Or is this someone we don't recognize? In either case Bernard will say, "Well, that showed something but neither strengths or weaknesses." He will then go on to describe what the mirror showed.
((You do not recognize anyone there and people look more like those you saw here (the few that looked human and from dioramas) rather than those who sent you.))
“Maybe it did show us his strength? And who he is?” Alyssa would look to Bernard. “’Beware of the gaze of Chitza-Atlan - it will kill the one who meet it.’” She’d quote the flying feathered snake and gesture to their blindfolded tiefling taking precautions.
"So resting then?" Leon asks as he glances to the unlocked doors. "Suppose that is an ok idea... We best see if we can do something about those doors though, hate to have them open up when we are not expecting it, as going to fight something you know you are not suppose to look at is one thing, having that same thing come upon you when you are not expecting it is quite the other."
"Maybe his strength is manipulation and he's got a king as his puppet. Could be a weakness too as if we break that control then there is the weight of a kingdom wanting vengeance thrown against him. Hard to say, but I can hardly believe he is in this temple if he's manipulating a king," Bernard responds. "Well, in either case, let's try and get some food and rest and tackle this last bit at full strength."
Ramious points at Alyssa, "I saw that gesture! Yes, I'm smart." He sighs and undoes the blindfold since they'll be resting. At Leon's comment, Ramious nods and walks over to the door. He takes out some pitons and his hammer, and attempts to hammer them in the bottom gap, and into the hinge gaps....hopefully making it more difficult to open. "If anyone else can add anything, that'd be great, otherwise, I think it's probably good as can be done."
He sits down, pulling out some jerky to chew on...laying back and very ready to get a good long rest in. As he lays there, he thinks, "So, this bad dude is probably a spell caster then. Good to know. Don't bunch up. If anyone gets frozen like the guy in the mirror, go for the caster, try and break the spell."
Alyssa would walk up to the door to see if she could reinforce it even the slightest by manipulating some earth using her magic. Maybe she could 'lock in' the hinges and use the same magic to 'unlock' them in the morning. The elf would test the theory before trying to apply it for the night. "Maybe I just threw some dirt on it but..." She'd shrug. It was worth a shot.
Brushing the dirt off her hands, Alyssa would pad around the area to look for a comfortable center point with a 10ft radius and take a seat. Spending about ten minutes inscribing runes and singing soft elven notes to herself, she'd complete a ritual summoning forth an opaque dome that was dimly lit. Everyone was welcomed to enter for a night of rest.
Once settled in, Alyssa would open up her spellbook. While it was still fresh in her mind, she'd compare her notes of trying to figure out how to dispel curses, to the new knowledge she obtained by actually watching it be done. The wizard was able to eventually fill in the blanks and correct any misconceptions on how the spell would be intended to work, by removing them. She'd give it a try. Inhaling a breath, Alyssa would recite a new string of incantations. Her skin would radiate a warm glow before fading back to her natural tone. With a sigh of relief, she could feel the ache of her muscles begin to leave her body.
Casting: Remove Curse (If there are any others she can remove, she will offer and do so.)
Should Leon be comfortable with it, Alyssa would like to spend some time copying one of his new spells.
(Just a note, we all have to be within the radius of the tiny hut as you finish the spell, or else we can't enter, so, I presume we huddle around you as you complete the spell.)

Bernard will sit in the dome with the others. Pulling out the magic items he looks at them all. "We still have these magic items to sort out. I think the balance can be packed away, no real use in combat, the pendant I agree should go to someone that is going toe to toe with enemies. That's not me. The mirror can be packed away as well I think, good for info not real use for combat. That leaves the bracelet. If Alyssa can break curses and being turned to stone is one? Idk, then she should have it. Sounded like there is no trouble if defense is used. Thoughts?"
Ramious nods, "Sounds solid to me." Then he laughs, "Ha...solid...talking about turning to stone...hehe..."
He takes the amulet if no one else does. He also pens a small note on a piece of paper and slips it under the axe. It reads in big block letters, "CURSED, DON'T TOUCH". Then returns to rest in Alyssa's little magical hut.

A soft chuff would leave Alyssa's nose to Ramious' pun. "If I am to take one of the items, I would have the ring of spell storing to pass on to another. Although, I did just pack it with spells another might have wanted something else instead." Her mouth would tug a little sheepishly at the corner.
(Ring of spell storing has: Absorb Elements, False Life, Ice Knife, Ceremony, Create and Destroy Water.)
After being inside the hut for the ritual spell to be completed, Leon would exit and cast alarm (as a ritual) all along the area of the prison's door. At least they would have some warning if something crossed it during their rest.
