Murgen smiles and looks at Tabitha, "So lads, any of you know a Tarnia?" He lights his pipe and sits back, enjoying gambling again. It has been too long since I got to play. Didn't even need to cheat. If One-Eye saw me now he'd be so disappointed. This was too easy.
Murgen nods, "Aye, I must have misheard. I take you know this fine lady?" His fingers absentmindedly trace the wolf on the front of the large book he keeps with him.
Dench makes eye contact with Ignace, not sure it he heard the conversation as well, but hoping to communicate that he had heard the name. He'll approach Tarina, and as politely as possible say, "Tarina, I believe? My name is Dench Thokk. We haven't meet, but we have someone in common, someone we both know. Is there a place you and I and my colleague could talk privately?"
Tabitha takes her winnings, returning Murgin's smile. She wasn't new to gambling, but it was rare that it went so well. It's about time I've had some good luck. She leans in to hear Rahima's response. "Do you happen to know if she's here?"
Murgen and Tabitha Rahima says to you, “Well, I don’t know her personally. She is a regular here though.” One of the men at the table cuts in, “Spends most her time upstairs.”
Ignace and Dench Tarina looks at you two, then begins walking to the wall by the stairs. She checks over her shoulder and beckons you over.
Dench follows Tarina, watching her carefully, and wishing he had a way to communicate with all the party members. He puts his fingers to his lips and thinks about whistling loudly, but that seem like a bad idea. Who knows who it would startle. Perhaps they are headed downstairs? he hopes.
Ignace follows Tarina as well. He looks around to make sure nobody aside from the 3 of them around, he shows the badge on his belt, leans in close, and whispers: "We work for Zodge. He tasked us to take care of the cultists in the city. I'd be grateful if you could tell us about the Dead Three."
Murgen stands up, "Thank you for the game. The Grey Wolves are always good for some gambling. If you want your money back, come find me. I'm always down to take more off your hands." Murgen moves to the stairs, limping as his old wound acts ups. When he reaches the bottom he turns and waits for Tanitha if she follows.
Dench and Ignace Upon the mention of Zodge, you hear Tarina let out a groan. She mutters to herself, “How many people does that man have under his thumb?” She looks back to you two, then sighs. She whispers, “I’ve got some..associates..that are not overly fond of me. They’ll be crashing their way into the tavern any moment now. If you deal with them, I’ll tell you what I know.”
"You too!" Dench says. "We should for a club. Or a guild. A revolution!" he says. "But these associates? Will we be able to talk them out of their misunderstanding with you, by chance? What exactly do you know about them? Will they be trying to hurt, kill, or kidnap you?" As he says this, Dench steps around her so that he is between her and the stairs. He looks down, hoping for sight of his colleagues.
Dench and Ignace Tarina shakes her head. “For you to come to a reasonable agreement with them, they have to be sober. They’re never sober. As for what they would like to do to me, probably something like ripping my head off. They didn’t enjoy it when I stabbed them in the back during their own mutiny.”
Ignace thinks for a few seconds. Holding the amulet in his hands. Then says to Tarina: "Perhaps if you stay out of sight, we can avoid a fight. Can you do that? How can we recognize your friends?"
Murgen and Tabitha You move up the stairs and find Dench and Ignace with a human woman about 10ft away. You walk over and hear the following.
Dench and Ignace You see Murgen and Tabitha join in just as Tarina responds, “First of all, no. There will be a fight even if I’m a block away. As for how to recognize them, trust me, you’ll know when you see them. The leader of the bunch has a clouded right eye. He likes being called Dead-Eye.”
Murgen upon hearing this turns back to get a view of the door and loads a bolt into his crossbow grumbling. He calls back over his shoulder, "So I take it we should find a way to deal with Dead-Eye. How many are with him?"
