"Probably," Halec says curtly, gesturing to the item they recovered from the mines. "But as the dwarf says, who took our animal companions? What did they look like, and where did they go?"
"Err, I'm as eager to get back Helen and your Abomination as anyone, Anthony, but this man I believe has a reward for us in exchange for the cure, and might be able to simply provide a verbal description of the individual who took our animal companions," Halec says. "Carrying him like a sack of potatoes might not be the best course." He makes no move to stop him, however, and follows along.
"He lost the reward, and he's gonna help us get it back, along with my baby!" I shout the anger and fear in my voice mingling. (the fear is not for me, it's for my yeti)

"Gooseflesh! The thief took the crystal shard, my mule, and your... whatever that was? This will not stand! Doctor Niel, describe the thief, please! Where did they go?" Halec says.
"Yes, Anthony's Yeti and my mule, and also the crystal shard that will determine whether this region survives, these are all quite vital, doctor," Halec says. "What can you tell us about your assailant? Which way did they flee?"
He looks both afraid and confused at the same time "Uh......... I... I didn't get a clear view of him, all I know is that he was a drow with short silver hair. I'm clueless about where he went, but out of all the places in Snakeskin Valley, I would believe him to be at The Eternal Library. It was once a hub, a gateway for the wizards, it contained enchanted books of lore and history from lands even in the outerworlds, and spellbooks containing the rarest of spells, including the legendary divination magic. Although, one day, thieves began moving into the library, claiming it as their hideout. Now, the books' knowledge is in the hands of these thieves, forgotten by most outsiders. What I fear most is them using the spellbooks for their own purposes. Before our plague, those thieves have constantly been robbing our village, ransacking what they find and taking it to the library, as their own.
"But it would be getting late" He points up at the sky, now black and full of stars "You should be tired after being in the mine, right?" He says nervously
Halec feels his wounds catch up to him, and says, "I suppose if we head into trouble in our current state, we won't be doing Helen, Abomination, or the Snakeskin Valley, any favors, getting ourselves killed. A long rest is probably in order, yes."

Anthony drags Neil across the sands "What are you doing, unhand me this instant, I am no use to you whatsoever." He complains.
I carry him on my back... I tell him "you're gonna help me spot them, and fight them..."

Halec sees Neil is telling the full truth
"I believe you, sir. Anthony, Chazrael, Ophiwalen, I think we must head to this library immediately," Halec says.
