I see the poor yeti petrified, and like a mother bear i am enraged. I let out a scream of rage, and gather my gear "I will be back," I say "after i slay every damn robber in this place!!!"
I also grab halec's invisibility potion "You won't be needing this" I say with near insanity in my voice, I then run off searching for the thugs and the wizard.
Halec does not elect to relinquish any items from his inventory to the dwarf.
“We may have another shot at this, but we mustn’t be foolish. We should leave, rest until we are fully recovered, and then return in force alongside our new ally. We moved in haste before and that cost us dearly. We won’t do that a second time. We will have our revenge, but it will be a dish served cold, as they say.”
(DM, might Dispel Magic work on the petrified animals?)
Jahren watches Anthony run off without saying anything, knowing there's only so much you can do for some people. He remains focused on those left together and the vault. If anyone else tries to chase after Anthony he suggests "I'd hate to see you add to his folly."
OOC: In the mental state my character's in, i won't listen to halec, he will have to physically prevent me from going on a rampage... if he can as i will slay any in my way. Yes, he's being unreasonable, but dwarves often are.
"He does not want to quit. Doubt it to be expected after failure, but failure is also part of each of our stories. Count a man with no failures as either a liar or a fool. Judge Halec by the choices he makes, not by his fears. He is still here, and his story's conclusion has yet to be written."
Jahren says all this calmly and happily while perusing the vault, examining any magic items with his Detect Magic spell active.
Of his gear, one notable and fine item is a large stringed instrument on his back, a bit like a guitar.
“Well said, friend Jharen,” Halec says, twirling his handlebar mustache. “It would seem these thieves had imprisoned quite a philosopher here, in you. And it would seem we may yet have some hope of pulling this off. We just need to be tactically wise this time.”
Halec watches Anthony run off without much comment, and turns to the others. “As I said, a long rest and then we give it another go, what say you all?”
OOC: Only greater restoring or wish works, if i am correct, however, if the DM is willing dispel magic or remove curse may work, but onlyif it's on an occasion in which a curse or spell caused the effect.

“I suppose it’s just a fool grasping at desperate hope, but, Ophiwalen, Chazrael, Jharen, I don’t suppose any of you have any magic about you that could restore my mule, Helen?” Halec asks the remaining party members.

I take interest in the instrument.
" Is that a Lute? I always wanted to learn how to play a instrument, but master always said it is important to learn the arcane and martial arts, and he thinks that music is for idiots. I only know how to ring the monastery bell. "
(Yeah, sorry, hate to contribute to a rush of posts that puts people behind too quickly in a PbP format. Looks like Jahren healed Ophiwalyn for 12 hit points. Great name, by the way. I'm terrible with names. It often slows down my character creation for quite a while when I get stuck on the name! haha. We also broke into the vault and got our stuff back, but when seeing that the animal companions were petrified Anthony ran off in a fit of rage like a madman. No one cared enough to chase him. LOL)
(Also, I was feeling the same way in all of an hour after one of my first posts yesterday, but all of the quoting of quotes of quotes of quotes makes it look a lot more intimidating to catch up on than it actually is, for me at least.)
Looking to Halec, Jahren picks out and hands over the wand, the potion and the ring. "Here, these look particularly special. You and your friends might make good use of them on your quest."
Regarding the mule and perhaps the mini-yeti if it's still there, Jahren says"well, I could try." "I often find that magic is not as potent as the caster would like you to perceive. Often it is just waiting to be swept away, like a house made of playing cards I once saw someone build in a tavern. Right to the ceiling he went, until someone opened the tavern door... at least. Anyhow, the illusion of the magic is half of it's power, at times."
Jahren casts Enhance Ability on himself with as little fanfare as possible, giving himself the Eagle's Splendor buff, then casts Dispel Magic in as subtle a manner as possible as well. (Just in case the magic being dispelled is higher than 3rd level, here's my roll: 23 )
(Anyone want to loot the rest of the gold, etc? Jahren is not greedy, but I am!)
Now I will use the rope in my pack to cast rope trick and try to get a short rest ( I will pull the rope out of sight after asking if anyone else wants to enter.)
If any of you enter, the room is a small study room with several bookcases. Most of the books are about martial or mystical arts, but in the books. " Contact with the shadow planes. " " The four forms of the Wyvern " and " The travels of Arkhan the Cruel. " You find small books with pictures and dialogue named " Comics " They are generally disproved of in Ophiwalyn's monastery.

"Pretty much" replies Jahren about his instrument. He also hands the wand to Ophiwalyn with a smile. He offers to hand his Fochlucan Bandore to Ophiwalyn as well. "It is a special item that has been with me on my travels for a long time. If we have time to rest and camp before we part so you all can carry on your mission, I am happy to give you a lesson. We'll have you playing a simple tune, to start your musical endeavors, in no time!"
(I barely know the difference between all of these stringed instruments myself!)
OOC: I'm already gone by this time... in a murderous rage against these thugs.

(Yes, I'd say Dispel Magic would work)
On Jahren's search for magic items, he collects a ring that looks like a feather, a silver wand with a blue fire crystal, and a clear liquid with a small expanding bead. While Halec talks with the remaining party members, something in the pile catches his eye; the piece of the Ruby Snowflake.
“I suppose it’s just a fool grasping at desperate hope, but, Ophiwalen, Chazrael, Jharen, I don’t suppose any of you have any magic about you that could restore my mule, Helen?” Halec asks the remaining party members.
“Egad, thats it! That’s the snowflake right there! We have no more business with this Slough or his awful gang. We can be on our way,” Halec says.
