Harbek does not find anyone or anything out the window, just empty streets and the sunrise that paints the sky beautiful hues of orange and navy.
In the dining room, the group gathers at the left table, the crappy wooden chairs are, as most would guess, very uncomfortable, Ophiwalyn's even gave him a splinter. Sitting in the center of the table is a menu depicting today's breakfast options:
1) Freshly baked bread with a plate of assorted berries and a glass of wine, (4sp)
2) A tavern style pint of ale served with a mutton roast, (2gp)
3) Warm-er-up chicken and vegetable stew served with local milk, (1ep)
Halec shows Harbek, and any of the others who have arrived, the note. "It seems someone wants to meet us in the plaza near the statue, likely Abygail, I assume."
Harbek, who had been dozing, jerks awake at the sound of Halecs voice and says "Yes, but lets be on our guard in case it is a trap. I dont like the way the notes just showed up in our rooms"
After their breakfast, Halec suggests, “Let’s just head to the statue in the plaza, then, and speak to her about getting this investigation underway. She can probably confirm whether the note was delivered through mundane or magical means, for those curious. I assume this is Chylde, but who knows, someone else could be waiting there to meet us, the note is not signed.”
At the plaza, Abygail is leaning against the base of the statue, looking down with her arms folded. When you approach, she looks up at you "Ah, good mornin'. Are you ready for the day?" She says enthusiastically.
Harbek holds up the note "Do you know anything about this" and then slightly louder "And why i wake woken up in the MIDDLE of the night with the window open?"
She looks confused "Why or how the h**l would you think I would open your window on the third floor of an inn, the wind gets real awful at night, so I think it was that. Oh, those notes, I slid that under your doors. So we can get down to business." *wink*
Halec crosses his arms over his chest and his mustache twitches, as he gives the woman a suspicious look, but he then shakes it off, and says, “Fine, fine. Yes, let’s be off and be on our way to the dragon nest to begin our investigation, yes?”
When heading to the plaza, it is noticable that Nahu has disappeared.
Abygail smiles, looking past the suspicious look of Halec "Yes, its just somewhere around the ramparts." she waves her hand to signal for the last three of you to follow.
Halec follows as well, still with a degree of suspicion, all the more so as Nahu appears missing, but adapting to the unexpected has become more second nature to him since the quest began. “How far is the nest, Abygail?”
Abygail leads your group up to an empty dragon's nest atop that peak near the village. Straw, mud, and bitter ice make up what remain of the nest. "Here it is, the nest I told ye about. So, the eggs were here before they vanished..." She points down at a spot in the center of the nest. "When they disappeared, that was around the time they became hostile. That could not've been a coincidence."
Harbek, still tired from being abruptly awoken, sits down in an empty chair while waiting for the rest of the group to arrive

" I really don't believe the case would just fall like that, something fishy is going on. Magic perhaps?"
Arcana Check. 6
The note is not magical at all, it is a most real piece of parchment (don't forget is was under your door)

Harbek follows, using his pike as a large, clumsy walking stick

I mean the falling of the crossbow bolts.
Nothing magic about that either, the case apparently fell out of Halec's bed while he was sleeping and the bolts exploded everywhere.

Harbek searches for any marks of the eggs being moved
