Halec, unsure of proper protocol, bows his head, and calls out in his "best Draconic," "Greetings, great dragon. Forgive my speech, I only recently learned your language. We have recovered your missing eggs from a band of thieves. We would request an audience."

The dragon does not react much to what Halec is saying, it just stands there, staring at him. Abygail puts a hand on her face, revealing a black mark in the shape of a dragon scale below her hand. When she lowers her hand, she speaks to the dragon (in Draconic):
(only Halec can understand):
"My apologies for his poor language abilities. As he said, we recovered your eggs from the thieves who stole them, and this young lad (Halec) seeks your attention."
Halec gives Harbek a sympathetic look, and mouths "sorry" to the dwarf, then proceeds with his conversation with the dragons. "Again, I apologize for my poor skills at your language, I only recently learned it. We have recovered your eggs from thieves. We are on a quest, my friends and I. The Ruby Snowflake, a relic that protects this land -" Halec makes hang gestures along with his speech, outlining the large shape of the relic, then moving his hands in the air as it "explodes" and flickering his fingers "the relic exploded recently. Shards flew all over the land. If it is not restored, this region will sink into a ravine. We are collecting the shards. They are spread far and wide. The next one we seek is at a museum, a building full of old objects, by the standards of humans and the like. We would be very grateful if you could aid us in reaching these shards, and saving this land. The speed and flight of mighty dragons humbles us, in our poor travel speeds. If you would offer us this aid, we would be most grateful. If not, we still return these young to you, in the hopes of friendship between dragonkind and the villagers nearby."
((I have to log off for the day, having some home issues and it may be hectic over the next few days, so if posts slow that will be why. When things break they all break at once. Apologies in advance for any delays.))

(Alright, thanks for letting us know and I hope the issue gets resolved)

For a few seconds, the dragon does not respond, then replies calmly:
"I'm afraid I cannot help you, as I have three wyrmling about to hatch. I wish you luck on your journey, I know its still a long road for you."
Shortly after she finishes speaking, the frontmost egg begins to shake rapidly, the crack slowly expanding across the egg, a snout pokes out of the shell, then goes back in the egg before it pokes out at a different spot. The top of the eggshell slides to the side to reveal a white dragon wyrmling covered in an orange, slimy goo, curled up in what remains of the eggshell, a rotten smell wafts through the air. "Aww, its always touching to see them come into the world." Abygail takes out a torn rag and wipes down the hatchling with it.
((Just as a brief update, the various home repairs are ongoing which has been extremely hectic, took time away from work and now I am playing catch up on work things while the home remains a construction zone. Still not sure on my ETA of when I'll have time to return to regular posting, but the game is not forgotten, just extremely busy and stressed at the moment. Again, apologies. I don't want to slow progress of the game for everyone involved, so feel free to do whatever is needed for the story - bot my character, create a scenario where they are pulled away temporarily, whatever you feel is best to progress the game. I am hopeful all this will pass and things will return to normal.))

(I hope the best of luck for you as well, but due to a lack of posting, I am putting the campaign on pause until further notice, but it should not take long for it to resume.)
I attempt to pick up the newborn dragon and pet it a bit.
The wyrmling was not hard to pick up, as it is slightly lighter than the egg. The smell of sulfur, similar to the smell of the cave, wafts off the dragon. While you are petting it, a small, pleasurable sound can be heard. After a few pets, the dragon --playfully-- bites your finger, but it doesn't hurt that much.
Abygail looks to the group "Well,... Its about time we should go. As I promised, since you found the eggs, I'll show you the secret route to Malison History Museum. There's still more eggs to find, but you can leave that to me. Follow me." She gestures for Halec & Ophiwalyn to follow, then taps Harbek twice as she's walking by.
Along the way, Abygail asks Halec "Have I told you what my ancestors' offering was?"
Halec, unsure of proper protocol, bows his head, and calls out in his "best Draconic," "Greetings, great dragon. Forgive my speech, I only recently learned your language. We have recovered your missing eggs from a band of thieves. We would request an audience."
Harbek sits behind rocks muttering "im always the one to get left out, sit her harbek, go there harbek, they dont like you harbek"

(Back in Common) "...Halec, if you may."

Harbek pulls out rations and starts munching on them as Halec speaks to the dragon

harbek opens one eye and then slowly gets to his feet, making sure the dragon is out of sight before getting up
The dragon was still there, but it wasn't looking in your direction.
I follow her.
OOC: is this still going?
(I'm having the campaign on hold until we have news from @Izraal1)
OCC: okay
I'm running a game with him in it too, but I haven't heard from him in a while.
